Rock solid picture with precise upscaling. Excellent sound as well. OELED technology in a 42” tv is definitely worth the price. I had read that the one limitation was picture brightness, but this is definitely not the case. Also, the Sony was very easy to set up, and easy to customize in the days after installation. Apple TV, OPPO Blu-ray player, and McIntosh audio system all work well with this TV. Highly recommended!

Bought a 55” Sony Bravia OLED for the living room last summer and wanted to upgrade the bedroom TV so bought the 42” Sony Bravia OLED. Was bigger than I wanted but had to go with the OLED version. The picture is awesome. Easy to use the apps for streaming. Bought the total tech package and they came out to mount it on the wall and set it up. They were on time and did a superb job. Everything went well.

Great OLED tv for gaming, streaming, audio visual and recording software like PreSonus Studio 1, Universal Control and ProTools. I also use it as a PC monitor, it's easy on the eyes. Everything is always sharp, crisp with stunning color. It's connected to a 5.1 system via optical cable, YouTube, Amazon Music, games sound great! Couldn't be happier! Buying 2 more for 2 or 3 display screen setup!!!

I love my 42 inch Sony Bravia. Great tv in smaller package. Great picture and sound. Love that I can Aitplay with my iPhone and Bluetooth my headphones. Geek Squad setup was great. I was up and running in no time.

The Sony Bravia is a great television. This is our second one and the first one lasted for almost ten years with no major difficulties. This one is a bit smaller but the picture and sound quality are both amazing. The picture is really bright and clear, It's easy to use with the harmony remote. The difference in size seems to have no negative effect,

The Sony - 42" Class BRAVIA XR A90K OLED is an amazing TV, very sharp and detailed. The Oled is brighter the the first Sony Oled I brought a couple of years ago. The sound is also very nice as it seems to sound like it’s coming through the screen.. A+++

This TV is heavy! But besides that, sound and image are crisp and clean.

Beautiful picture especially with streaming. Sound is good with nice bass. Perfect for small apartment where sound bar will just bother the neighbors. Easy set up and easy download of streaming apps. Need TV in another room and am considering buying the same TV. Would highly recommend.

As my husband and i always say, you can never go wrong with a Sony TV. We have been enjoying this tv, easy set up and beautiful picture and sound.

Unbelievable picture quality. TV is mounted at our boat dock and under roof. Even with all the surrounding sunlight, picture is bright and clear. Several of our boating neighbors surround us whenever we have sports tuned in.

By far one of the best decisions I have made. I was on the fence between this tv and the C2 42" from LG. They both have pros and cons, however with the extra technology into the Sony to create a more realistic color representation, and the integrated calibrations for my Sony Ps5 it was the best choice. I use this as my home office screen as well as my gaming monitor. You will not regret making this purchase. My advice is to look at reviews from a visual perspective via Youtube and see the differences there are between the Sony and LG, because these two Makers are the ones that come up with the Oled technology being the top tiers in the market. My only con is the Sony A90k series only comes with 2x Hdmi 2.1 versus 4 on the LG C2. However, for the most part 2 hdmi 2.1 ports will suffice considering most individuals have one or the other when it comes to gaming consoles and the other ports still are compatible with 4k at 60hz and to be honest the Sony technology behind the Oled display truly makes the 60hz still look buttery smooth. My first Oled purchase and will certainly not be my last. Oled FTW!!

I am giving the 42" Sony Bravia OLED 5 stars, even though I had to exchange it. The picture, contrast in colors (who knew there are so many shades of black!), sound, technology is BAR NONE. I highly recommend this TV IF .. you have a darker room. Unfortunately, when I set it up at home, it was just too dark a picture. I adjusted the brightness to it's highest level and still the natural light in my room won. The OLED is awesome for evening viewing (and I'm sure for gaming) so it was a tough decision to part with it! Best picture quality you can imagine. So, if you have a darker entertainment type room, don't even hesitate. And with Best Buy's generous return / exchange policy, they took good care of me when I had to return it and now I'm loving the 43" Samsung QLED. Which is absolutely perfect for my needs!

Picture Quality is 100% . I'm using rabbit ear antenna over the air broadcast and i am shocked on how many channels I'm getting. 50 miles outside Philadelphia. the apps run flawlessly.

The TV has delivered clear crisp images and excellent sound. It is easy to maneuver through the various features. It is a steady, every day workhorse.

It's perfect for my house perfect size and very good quality picture even though the sound is very good I have been thinking about getting a sound bar for it but it's not really necessary.

I was looking for a television to watch movies and some video documentaries in the best possible quality and I agreed with reality. I found it! As they already mentioned, it is not so bright for a place with a lot of ambient light, but for a bedroom and another place where you can control the light it is excellent. The best thing is watching movies in HDR, the sound is not bad, for the size of the cabinet. I didn't like the remote control at first... But in the end I didn't change it for another one, being backlit is magnificent. It only lacks a dedicated button to turn the screen black, that is, without an image, this way the OLED is taken care of by only using it as, for example, Spotify. (translated from Spanish)

We got this television for our bedroom and I absolutely love it. The color is fantastic. We have a large plasma in our living area and I think this TV has a better picture.

I have an A9G Master 77" in the living room and wanted everything it offers but in a smaller size as the bedroom TV. We have a TV armoire that can accepts a TV no larger than a 42" panel. I sat there staring longingly at the 48" knowing it was just an inch or two too wide and then the 42" dropped. Unlike the 10 year-old panel this replaced there are no RCA analog outs to feed my ancient audio system in the bedroom. This was easily remedied with a SPDIF->RCA box and setting the speaker output to PCM. Yes the built-in speaker/panel setup these have is curiously good for what it is, but actual speakers and an actual subwoofer will win hands down. I didn't even consider the LG, everything else in the household is Google ecosystem and this meshes nicely.
