I bought our 48" Sony Bravia A90K from Best Buy about a year ago, and it's by far the best TV I've ever owned! I would have opted for a 55" or larger screen, but my wife didn't want a larger screen dominating our living room -- so this size is a perfect compromise. I absolutely love the Sony picture quality -- stunning color and clarity. I tweaked the settings using most of the recommended calibrations provided on the rtings website (https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/a90k-oled/settings) with just a few of my own brightness modifications added on. We watch TV mostly in a darkened room at night, so the brightness level this model achieves is absolutely great. The sound is not bad on its own, but I added a Sony soundbar which includes a sub-woofer on the floor -- and it really makes a huge difference. And finally, I'm a big fan of the Google TV OS. My son has an LG TV, and I absolutely hate the WebOS on that brand. Google TV is much more user friendly -- especially when you want to play around with the settings. Yes, the home screen has too many ads that clutter things up. There is an "Apps Only" mode that gets rid of some of the clutter. However, a better solution is an app I downloaded called "FLauncher" (see photo) which gives me a clean totally ad-free home screen showing nothing but my apps. I highly recommend this Sony Bravia TV! It's not cheap, but worth every penny!

Extremely disappointed. Tv worked great for about one week. Then I got green boxes along the bottom of the screen. The TV itself is nice, mine was not. But I would recommend it.

Got this as a secondary display, open box perfect condition, don’t even think they fully unboxed it. Had been looking for a new monitor but figured I could use this for the built-in smart features, gaming, and a secondary TV for sports. Works great as a monitor, resized the output to fill 40” of the display and the OLED makes the empty border blend in like a bezel. The smart features are top notch, gaming specs for PC and PS5 are great, and the brightness of the panel is above my main TV from LG G1 OLED. Also got the movies perks as a bonus and it was around $600 off when I got it around Black Friday 2022 so great value. Wouldnt pay over $1000 but if you can get it on sale it’s great for a smaller TV. If its your main I’d step up in the same price-range to a 65” or larger if space is available. Perfect small space or secondary TV though.

Easy set up, great stand (for Table/Entertainment cabinet). This is our second model of this TV. Both perform very well and provide as good or better picture as we have yet seen by other TV makers. The built in sound quality is superior to other TV's

My second master series Sony Bravia. Originally purchased a 2022 A90J 65”, and was so happy, had to add a second one for the game room. Excellent and rated best over all tv on YouTube HDTV test. This successor to the a90j, is even better in quality. The construction of the body of the tv seems a bit cheaper compared to the previous models but all of it is hidden on the rear. The base and controller are beautiful in quality. I miss the YouTube button in the remote. It was removed to add Bravia core, which I do not use. Overall the best picture I have ever seen.

The picture quality is superb! We purchased this for our bedroom and didn't want a soundbar and as flat of a profile when wall mounted as possible. The acoustic surface audio works perfectly (sound emitting from the front of the TV) and the TV is very thin and looks terrific mounted. Setup was easy. The processor is quick when navigating from app to app. We love this TV so much that we are going to purchase a 65" for our living room.

Great TV, great size 48 inch, not bad. Good remote, great tv stand, great colors. The edge screen looks good, wish was over the plastics a lair of metal. I wish the buttons on the remote would be replaceable in the future. Because the colors on the rubber plastics will fade. Wish there were a ruber packet on back of tv to put the remote control back there.

Not surprisingly, the TV is superb in every way. I'll let others confirm the picture quality...it lacks nothing. Rather, I'll refer to some other points that were important. I didn't want to have to get a new soundbar right away, and as expected, the built-in speakers provide fairly loud, low-distortion sound with reasonable bass. For an apartment environment, this is good enough that no sound bar is needed, IMO. Please note I used a Best Buy wall mount that holds the TV very close to the wall, which helps overall bass response. I've purchased most the brands, but the Bravia's are my favorite (this is #2). Many people will say they don't really see the differences between this-and-that 4K TV, and I certainly understand that TVs and technology are not everyone's passion. But, I certainly can see and appreciate the OLED-blacks, the even backlighting, and the lack of glare, compared to other sets. OLED color gamut and saturation can be almost too intense sometimes, but this Bravia XR is just about perfect. In honestly, for this price point of a 48", one might expert a nearly perfect TV. But, Sony gets it done. Sony also makes remotes the way I like: backlit, with a 'raise-to-illuminate' feature. This 48" A90K does not have the full-size remote that came with my 55" Bravia, missing the number buttons, and a few others. On the other hand, it's quite a bit smaller in size, and still has the essentials. Fortunately, the remotes are available online for those who might want to upgrade. I wish there were such a thing as a 51 or 52" TV. The 48" is just a teeny, weeny too small, but a 55" was definitely too big. I opted for slightly smaller, as a 48" at a given distance will appear sharper than a 55". I'd certainly purchase it all over again.

I live in a smallish condominium and this 48" Sony is just right for my living room. It's a replacement for a Samsung that died after many years. Setup wasn't complicated though it would have been nice to have actual verbiage accompany the illustrations that show how to attach the stand. Having an extra set of hands will be helpful. The picture is great; sound is on-par with a flat-screen TV so I also purchased a Sony HT-S400 sound bar. The remote control that comes with the TV is extremely basic and you'll probably want to also purchase the Insignia-branded universal remote device made specifically for Sony TVs. You can enable Google TV (with Google Assistant) which sort of takes over the set. If you want to use the supplied apps (like Netflix) you'll need to enable it; otherwise, you might want to keep it shut off. All in all, very happy with the purchase.

I love my TV, by far the best one I have ever owned! The colors and the skin tones are so lifelike I feel like I am actually “there.” I appreciate the lack of over sharpening I have experienced in the past with other brands This screen is so easy on my eyes and a joy to watch. This TV is a movie lovers delight! The speakers are remarkably full and rich for a small flat screen TV as well. Happy camper here:) Thank you Sony for creating such a wonderful, high quality TV for folks like myself who live in a small space.

Excellent tv with no ending to its great picture. The blacks are the inky black and the colors are right on.

After doing my research on the diferrent options available for a TV in this size range, I decided on the Bravia XR A90K. I was replacing a 9 year old 50 inch Bravia whose Android OS had started rebooting increasingly at random. I wanted to try an OLED and though an LG was on sale for half the price of the Bravia, I’m just a Sony fanboy at heart. Paired it with an Apple TV 4K, that I purchased at the same time. I could not be any happier with my decision. With just a few tweaks on both of the items, think Picture:Custom, Color Space:DCI on the Sony and Content Match: Frame Rate and Dynamic Range on the Apple TV and bam PERFECT PICTURE! Calibrated the picture with my iPhone and no correction was needed. I will say that if this is your first OLED TV there will be a bit of an adjustment period. But once you get used to the infinite contrast and lack of artificial brightness you will be hooked. Sony and Apple are an unbeatable pair!!! Bravo!…or should I say BRAVIA!!!

Totally love my Sony OLED tv. Have never seen such awesome colors and clear pictures.

Upgraded to A90k from the last model. The picture quality is a minor upgrade and not worth it alone. I needed this exact size tv for fitmint purposes and the old tv will be used elsewhere so the purchase was worth it. Pros- Great TV, fast response, works flawlessly with AV accesories, very decent speakers, Bravia Core streaming provides the best picture and sound delivery, refresh rate and gaming features. Cons- Menu system was better on the last model, USB power feature is not selectable and is always on, OLED does not allow for as many picture settings, No physical power or menu buttons on the tv, If the tv locks up you have to unplug it to reset this sucks for me as the tv is in a custome ent cntr and acces to the power is difficult. I feel my cons and rating are very high level and I would not hesitate to suggest this tv to anyone.

As always, went with a Sony, only way to get a great picture in a tv less than 50 inches. Although this is not the same as the two I had prior, it is still a 120 htz refresh rate so you dont see ant screen distortion when qatching sports or action shot. I miss the hlass frame and speakers though. The sound from this tv is poor but I have a Bose soundbar so it is not an issue for me. But my last 2 Bravia TVs had much better sound.

I bought this for my mother-in law, and she loves it!! Bonus points for me! Her vision is fading but the colors on the screen are very vibrant and make it easier her to watch!
