Beyond the resolution, the depth of colors and the blacks is superior to a lot of more expensive televisions.

Don't misunderstand, it's an excellent TV and better than the one we replaced, but even in high res, some dark scenes look pixelated and I had hoped for better.

Can’t figure out how to get the TV speakers to go off when the external speakers are turned on. Mute doesn’t work. There should be a way for it to automatically occur. My 2008 SONY was able to... Picture is nice

It worked great for about 2 weeks then had issues where the tv would not turn on. Contacted Sony and they had me trouble shoot. Eventually I was trouble shooting every time i went to turn on my tv. Then it died altogether I had it for a month and a half used it for about a month. Hopefully it was just my unit. Picture quality was spectacular while it lasted.

This TV is very nice, with a good variety of apps. From our experience, the only thing it doesn’t do well, is handle a standard non HD picture. It looks horrible!
