    Cannot instsll a basic swivel tv stand to this tv as mounting holes on back don't fit any mounting screws,had a professional installer out & he's not seen anything like this, anyone else have this problem?

    Best Buy needs to work on checking things

    Sent me a this with only one side of stand. Had to buy the other half on Ebay. This review is on Best Buy not the television.

    I. Bought a SONY tv at BB in October and was told to try around Black Friday to see if there were any reductions in the price I am paying. BB (in store) fobbed me off to a customer service number and told me they were ‘too. Fried’ bcs of Black Friday to help me in store. This is my first and last BB purchase.

      Hi KendraD, We are sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with your Bravia 3 TV. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem of your TV turning on and off randomly:
      Perform a Power Reset:
      Turn off the TV.
      Unplug the TV power cord from the electrical outlet.
      Let the TV remain without power for 60 seconds.
      Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.
      Turn on the TV.

      Update the TV Software:
      Ensure your TV software is updated to the latest version, as updates can fix specific issues.
      Check TV Settings:
      If the TV turns on or off at regular intervals, check the timer settings and disable any timers.

      For Google TV models:
      Disable the On timer or Timer.
      Disable the TV auto power on setting in BRAVIA Sync settings or HDMI CEC Settings.

      For Android TV models:
      Disable the On timer.
      Set the Auto TV on or TV auto power on to Off.
      Set the Remote Start to Off.

      For other TV models:
      Set the Timer to Off.
      Set the TV auto power on settings of the BRAVIA Sync settings to Off.

      Adjust Energy Saver Settings:
      On the remote control, press the Quick Settings button.
      Select Settings.
      Select System.
      Adjust the energy saver settings to prevent the TV from turning off automatically.

      Check the AC Power Cord:
      Ensure the AC power cord is properly plugged in.

      If the TV has a removable power cord, make sure it is firmly connected.
      Try plugging the TV directly into a wall outlet instead of a power strip or surge protector.

      Check for Remote Control Issues:
      Remove the batteries from the remote control and see if the issue persists.
      If using a multi-function remote, check it as well.
      Check for Externally Connected Device Issues:
      Disconnect all external devices (USB, LAN, HDMI, Antenna, etc.) except the AC power cord and see if the issue improves.

    Twice since I purchased two weeks ago, had to unplug the tv, then reset it. Wish I could bring this vack to the store

    Connecting to sound bar

    nice picture and fast response on controls. Had problem connecting to sound bar but need to navigate to a not obvious menu item (LPCM) setting under audio output which was not in instructions or on You Tube. My tech savvy son figured it out! Before that just loud buzz. I switched from old plasma TV which uses triple the wattage power. With high power rates, long watch times can add significant cost to power bill. LED are super power efficient and better picture. The on board speakers on TV are on backside so sounds muffled unless connected to sound bar.

    Sony Bravia 3 review

    Tv is generally good. Power on / off through the remote is a little wonky. Print hard to read on the remote. Some buttons are easily activated by mistake. Color is good. Haven't figured out yet how to co-ordinate the remote with the Spectrum remote.

    1st Bravia I had was older serial number, but new and even with updates had issues. Sony was going to send me a new one, but I was within the return at Best Buy. Best Buy came out, exchanged for same model and it is fantastic. The new one did not need the software updates and was more recently made. Any buyer remorse went away because of both Best Buy and Sony customer service. Only issue was that it did not have RCA jacks for my expensive Sony DVD player, the DVD did not have HDMI, so had to get new Sony DVD for about the same price as the RCA to HDMI conversion box.

    Better Options At This Price Point

    The UI of this TV is pretty outdated although there are a couple extra quirks and features that come with the Google TV interface. Overall it is decent but I would opt for other brands such as Samsung and LG for a TV at this price.
