I recently purchased a 4K UHD 55” Sony television that was on sale for a really great deal and I’m in love, the specs are beautifully amazing from sound, to picture with clarity, color, lighting and etc, no matter what I’m watching I feel like I’m living in it. Couldn’t ask for better for the price I got, Highly recommended!

This Sony was easy to set up. Easy to connect to WiFi. Essy to impress! Great picture. Upscales everything to stunning clarity-/from the Super Bowl to “Ferris Bueller!” Perfect size (50”) and at a good price. Even commercials are worth watching. Features like Netflix and YouTube add to the enjoyment. What are you waiting for? Go get this TV.

I would say that for the price I bought this TV at, it's exactly what I was looking for. I only have a few exceptions that keep it from a full 5 star review. 1. The back is extremely clunky, makes mounting it a nightmare for low profile mounts (in my case, not sure about other mount types) I had to get an extremely long screwdriver and try my hardest to line it up. There's a large plastic chunk at the bottom that covers the easy access required for such a mount. Possibly removable, but didn't want to be removing screws from the TV without proper instruction and didn't see anywhere guiding such a procedure. It's there for the stand to attach to, but regardless, makes it a bit clunkier than my other TV's I own. A huge problem with this TV that may lower other people's rating compared to mine is the value. I wanted a Sony TV to match the sound bar and PlayStation I already own for maximum compatibility and just overall brand matching, I also got this TV on sale. At full price, there are many other brands that deliver the same (if not better) product for a better value. If I was okay with getting any other brand, I probably wouldn't have gotten this specific TV, but I keep my 4 star because it's still an amazing TV for the price, there just are some 5 stars out there for people looking for any brand of TV. It does it's job, and that's all I ask honestly. Cable management is a mess in photos, but I took them immidiately after set-up and will be setting everything to a specific spot in due time.

My TV conked out just before World cup 2018
I had to get another one Quick
So I looked this nice set and had it shipped
It works Wonderfully at likes it's Cromecast
Streams well and has a small stand so it fit in my existing tv stand that was the key,
I didn't want a new stand
Just a new TV.
It's Big too.

I was excited to gran a Sony tv for the first time, but it lasted just shy of 2 years and don’t even use it very often. Black horizontal lines have taken over the screen and one is a giant broad black one about 4/5 of the way down that started about a year in. We tolerated it but with all the others now it’s very distracting and makes whatever you are playing or watching look grainy. I’ve tried everything on my end to fix it. I’ve been told it takes repair with special equipment. I will never buy a Sony tv again. I’ll probably go back to Samsung. Less than 2 years is unacceptable, and that’s after the first defect showed after one.

Just after few days of setting up this unit, I need to reset it to factory setting as online streaming will either freeze or totally stop. And now, after just almost 4 months, a black horizontal line suddenly appears in the screen. Since I can no longer return this to BestBuy, I now have to painfully deal with Sony support which informed me that the replacement is not a brand new unit but rather a refurbished one. Can you imagine? I paid for a brand new and now I am getting a refurbished. Low quality: both unit and service.

So I got this TV during the Black Friday event. It was only $450 at the time and that was an amazing price for such a great TV. I upgraded from a $1000 dollar Samsung I bought about 6-7 years ago.
So I got to say everything looks so much better now. Straight out of the box the colors are accurate. The picture is clean and attention grabbing.
I've tried HDR vs SDR side by side with this TV. The black levels are great, black looks good on this TV. The brightness of this TV isn't HDR it's SDR. The color range is slightly above SDR quality so yeah when it's in HDR mode you will notice things look a lot more realistic and less flat.
Ok so when you want to watch YouTube HDR you'll need to Chromecast it either to the TV directly or through a Chromecast HDR capable device. Netflix also has a few HDR movies or shows. HDR gaming is probably where you'll get the most milage since not much else does it other than 4k Blu Ray. Even then only certain games play in HDR.
Oh and this TV does HLG and HDR10. It's also capable of playing ps4 HDR.
Another thing I like about this TV is the Bravia sync settings. When you sync a device to the TV the remote can control it. I have my Shield TV and PS4 synced so I can use my Sony remote on them. When I turn the device off the TV turns off with it. The only thing that doesn't turn off or let me control it is my Nintendo Switch. Even then the Switch will turn on with the TV which is cool. They also auto input select to the right device when you turn it on.
Another feature I like is"Picture Off" it'll let the audio play while turning the display off. I like sound when I'm going to sleep and this is a great way to save power.
Ok so what about gaming. The latency goes from 100ms to 20ms in the right settings. Game Mode and Graphic Mode give you 20ms latency. Even HDR mode will do the same. The TV auto switches between these when it recognizes the HDMI signal. However if you turn the TV off and back on in any of these modes it'll switch to 100ms latency. You'll need to switch out to another Scene Select option and back into one of these modes for 20ms play. I've noticed it switches a bit often while watching TV and doing other things that it's not a big issue, but it's still a bug.
Also to get HDR to work only inputs 2 and 3 on your HDMI will work. That and you'll have to go into the menu and select HDMI Enhancement or something along those lines.
So basically it's a good TV, the HDR is barely there, but it looks better than SDR. Also the input lag is minimal in the right modes.

I got this TV on sale and it has far exceeded my expectations. My oldish LG 50” 1080p TV stopped powering on and after a day of troubleshooting I decided the time and cost to repair it wasn’t worth while. So began my quest for a suitable replacement. I love a good TV but the wife couldn’t care less if it works - she’s the frugal one in the family. When I found this Sony 4K on sale I had to do some research to make sure the Best Buy description was accurate because I couldn’t believe the price. 4K with HDR only $449? No way right? Well it was true. I went to my local Best Buy and I saw this TV flying out the doors. To my relief they still had some and I completed my purchase to rush home and replace the LG. The picture quality, fidelity, and smoothness of this Sony TV is amazing for this price point. You have to see it to appreciate it. Obviously there are better TVs on the market like OLED and XLED sets, but this TV is a fraction of the cost and is nothing to shake a stick at. The only cons I have with the Sony is it is a decent amount thicker than the LG it replaced and the “smart tv” features are limited to the apps already installed. My LG could download apps and had a really nice remote. The apps already loaded on the Sony are the mostly commonly used apps however and they work flawlessly. If you’re in the market I say look no further. Glad I went with the Sony over the Vizio I was considering.

This is a great quality TV as are all the Sony products I purchased. I buy a TV for the picture quality the sound quality and the input output ports and has exceeded expectations on all of those points.
Before I made this purchase I saw a few negative reviews that the browser isn’t very good and that there aren’t many apps available but I don’t buy a TV based on its browser and it’s apps I buy it for the display quality I have videogame consoles and Blu-ray players and other devices for apps. Besides, I don’t find the browser to be that bad and I like the one button shortcuts to Netflix and YouTube as those are my most common streaming media anyways.

This TV was on sale by BestBuy when I bought. Before this TV, I was using LG TV with same specifications but I was not satisfied with picture quality of the TV. One day I was in BestBuy to pick up my iPad and I found this TV on display. For the price its really worth to go with this TV. I checked with BestBuy associates and they also suggested me Sony for best picture quality. :)

This television is the most beautiful TV I have ever owned. It's picture is second to none, good sound and very sleek modern design with a near bezel less design. Sony was top of TVs in the day and not much has changed, they may not be the cheapest set out there but it's not the most expensive but this TV in my opinion is the best money can buy.

This 50 inch Sony 4K TV works great in my bedroom for use with my Xbox, watching Netflix/Youtube, and just looks nice in general. Price is spectacular for what you get in this TV. One thing I should point out with this TV is that at first, when I tried using the Youtube App with my phone, it would get stuck or glitch. No worries, just a simple factory reset fixed it. It happened one more time but that time with Netflix. Overall its a great TV, the smart features could be better, but it is sufficient for my needs. If you want a quality 4K TV without breaking the bank, you should take a look at this Sony.

Very nice TV at a fair price. Had been looking for 55" but this seemed to be a good deal and ordered online. Delivery was quick and setup was easy. Picture quality is good too. Big fan of Sony TVs and so far this one seems like another good choice. This is my 5th Sony LED and have been pleased.
Might consider a sound bar just to upgrade the sound a bit as the bedroom where this set is located is fairly large (17x19).
