If you must have an OLED, then this isn’t the unit. However, saving 500 plus for nearly the same quality at 55 inch its a no brainer. Google TV expereince, smooth, snappy, and depp rich near perfect blacks is everything youll want and this unit delivers

Finally found a display model go on open box at an enticing price. No regrets waiting for the right opportunity. Sony Bravia gives an outstanding quality picture. Sound is best coming from an external sound bar or amp.

Great Picture - Learning how to use it.

I wanted the much faster processor that the Bravia 5 series televisions have. The picture of my old Sony was very good, and this one takes the image to a higher level. The image is sharper without adjusting the sharpness, and there is more depth, and a bit of a 3D effect that is more noticeable than in my previous set. I mostly watch sports and still have motion blur. I hope to adjust it out. Even though I have fast internet service, YouTube TV still lags and hangs up sometimes when using the back button. I am beginning to believe that it is the streaming service, not the TV. In summary, the new Sony is a refinement over my 5-year-old Sony. The faster processor and the Mini LED design are the main improvements that I see.

To help reduce the motion blur you're seeing during sports, we recommend going to Settings > Display & Sound > Picture > Motion and adjusting the Motionflow settings; specifically, try setting Smoothness to a higher level to help the TV's processor track fast-moving objects more effectively. Regarding the YouTube TV lag, you are likely correct that the service or app itself is the bottleneck, but ensuring your TV's software is fully updated can often help the processor handle those navigation commands more smoothly. The remote also has more features such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Tube, Disney, Sony Pictures,etc. The sound on the TV is better than on the previous Sony TV I had purchased. The TV tools are easier to navigate especially for a Senior Citizen. The installation process was easier and faster.

Superb picture

That unit was a 2016 model, and while its picture was really good, it can't compare to the precise backlighting of this new Bravia 5. It has all the best features and performance of the older Bravia, only better. Everything has been refined. The picture is every bit as good as our main TV, a 65" Bravia 950-series.

I was replacing a similar Sony which quit after 8 years of constant use. I have a minor glitch with the Zvox sound bar optical audio output, which requires an occasional restart, but it's a rock solid product.

I looked at other brands and they seemed washed out looking. I also wanted to use my surround sound system with my new tv purchase. My old tv was a Sony from 2008 and had the optical audio out connection. Side note my old Sony is still working just fine, but is not 4k. If you are looking for a tv with great picture quality and connecting to a surround sound system this is the one.

Called them to fix the problem but couldn’t get them to come out for a week. It took me a couple of days to figure it out and it works great. Love the TV but not real happy with Geek Squad. However I have to say that in the past they have taken good care of me.
