The television to this point is working well and have no issues. Getting the TV on the other hand ended up being a challenge. I had a representative at one store tell me it was complete so I purchased it based on his recommendation and the information he provided. When I got to the store to pick it up however the item was not complete.

My TV is the 80J model, great picture, horrible navigation experience! Sony must have used a 1995 processor to save money! Makes me sick every time I turn it on. Press a button on the remote and wait, oh boy! Never buy a Sony again for this kind of money

A80J Failed after less than three years

I have a 55 a80 j that started having a line then started shutting off and showing a power board code. the tv is less than three years old and Sony has no interest in paying to have it fixed or replacing it after one year warranty. This shows the company is extremely anti consumer, and doesn't stand behind their product. If you don't mind buying a new tv every t and a half years...it has a nice picture before it fails.

Never again. Overpriced paperweight.

DO NOT BUY. Lasted 2 years and its a paperweight. Struggled the entire first year to connect at all to the sony sound system and couldn’t even display HDR on a PS5. A year later they patched it to fix that and then the tvs panel dies. TWO YEARS OF LIFE?!?!? Sony doesn’t do panel repairs and doesnt sell replacement panels. A 77” paperweight on the wall I paid $1500/yr to be blessed with. Never. Again. Spent 3 hours working through their customer support to be told “unplug and then plug it back in and try to turn it on“ 5 different times though 3 different people. Corporate garbage getting pumped out to last just passed warranty coverage, and isnt even worth the cost of the materials. Never had less than 5 years of life with 0 issues with a Samsung. Exceedingly disappointed about every aspect of this tv, and its total lack of ability to function beyond a truly minimal level with any other Sony device.

I've bought 2 TVs in the last 3 years. The first TV.... within a year a white line popped up along the bottom. I am not a warranty person because... it never helps. Instead of trying to fix. I figured I got a lemon, it happens. I bought a 2nd SONY TV...... this one. It's been a year and a half. This thing is completely RIP. No Power. No Help. I ask geek squad/Best Buy. Can you come out and fix these things? They want.... 130 bucks to come out... for each TV... I'm speechless. Went and got a Samsung, from another store.
Nothing else needs to be said.

Sony Upgrade Froze the TV Screen

Sony had a software upgrade. The tv stopped working. Of course it was at night. I unplugged the TV and it finally started working. Very annoying. I hate smart tvs.

Your feedback is extremely important to us and is very much appreciated. This TV features 4K at 120Hz signal format, VRR, and ALLM via HDMI inputs 3 & 4. In addition to selecting the Refresh rate to 120Hz, we recommend to make sure to enable VRR on your console as well.
When connecting a video game console that supports 4K 120Hz and VRR, we also recommend to make sure to connect the external device (Xbox) to HDMI input 3 or 4 and use the HDMI cable included with the game console, or an Ultra High Speed HDMI™ Cable.
Additional information: To maximize the performance of your TV and video game console, you can set the [HDMI signal format] and select the optimal format for your video game console: • If you connect a video game console that supports 4K 120 Hz video output, set to [Enhanced format (4K120, 8K)]. • If you connect a video game console that supports VRR, set to [Enhanced format (VRR)].

Press the power switch on the TV to see if the TV turns on. Check your TV power cord (and AC adapter for some models) to ensure they're not loose or disconnected. If the TV still does not turn on, try plugging the TV to other outlet.
