Always Owned Sony, Glad to Have This One Too

Upgraded from a Bravia 55” from 2016 that I left with my parents, but opposed to a stark upgrade, this was a great transition into better quality. Sony’s are always better in low light or at night, but this one, once adjusted, stills looks great in a bright room. Sound on its own is decent, but definitely get a sound bar for the best experience. The smartTV functions are pretty great. The voice control function on the remote is good, but not great or really all that useful, but nice to have. The interface is nice, connects to the internet easily and if you connect your apps through your phone and the TV (i.e. YouTube, Disney+, Starz, etc.) the streaming and casting is seamless.

I originally purchased the 49", but exchanged it for the 55" after reading the manual that the vesa mount are the same for both sizes (200x200), so it is works with my existing wall mount. I like the fact this is an Android tv. I can use my Google home to turn on and off. It has all the apps I need to stream, although it would be nice if it had a built in browser, but then I would need a better way to navigate other than using a remote. Picture quality is remarkable compared to the 1080 tv I had. This tv is an excellent value when on sale.

Went looking to upgrade from the Samsung I currently had, and was talked into this model instead. The picture quality is comparable, though not as good as the older Samsung model I own. The poor part of this is the menu for changing settings and such. I'm not certain SONY could've many this any less user friendly. It's the little things that are frustrating. Picture setting don't automatically update when switching from movies to gaming. The volume only changes at increments of 2 instead of one and on that the sound quality is quite poor for a SONY product. Plus, when you go to change the volume just slightly it registers as multiple levels of change by going from say lvl 22 to lvl 30, and then you have to adjust it again. It's not a bad tv, just not of the quality that a comparably priced Samsung brings to the table.

Amazing picture quality, easy to hook up all components (cable, DVD player and sound bar). Although DVD player and sound bar have wireless capabilities I opted to connect direct to TV. Love having my Netflix and Hulu directly on this smart TV vs the Roku box. Sound is good but amazing with my Sony sound bar. You won't be disappointed with the Sony Smart 4k UHD with TV with HDR. Only thing that could improve is the remote, some buttons/controls are small and wind up hitting the wrong button but lucky my cable remote also controls everything.

Great value for the price. Easy to set up especially if you already have a Google account. The only negative if you want to call it that, is that you have to hook up the little IR blaster wire if you want to use the TV remote to control other devices. Not a big deal for me because my cable remote will control the TV and my sound system. The one unexpected plus though is that the TV remote will control my AppleTV without any special connections. I definitely recommend this TV if you’re looking for a quality picture for an affordable price.

This is nice TV for a secondary room, it has enough features and the picture quality is fine for TV viewing/streaming. Nothing is connected to it except for DISH and of course WiFi (no Blu-Ray player, no gaming platform, nothing - just for TV viewing). I do have multiple other Sony products that are higher end (TV, sound bar, wireless rears, subwoofer, blu-ray) but the 800 series price point and quality was great for room that sees much less use.

I bought sony tv, sony sound bar and I already got sony ps4 from my friend. All of them work very well together. The moment I turn on ps4, it automatically switches to the gaming console input. Once you turn off, goes back to the tv input. This is an Android tv, so no problem with any apps. It also has chromecast built in and this is very convenient to cast anything on youtube, amazon prime and using google cast I can cast any video using chrome browser. Its been a month I used this tv. The picture quality, sound is very good. I don't see any input lag or anything from the tv experience or when playing games. I got this for 500$. The original price was 800$, got this on thanksgiving for a discount. Very nice deal. Thank you SONY and thank you BestBuy.

For the price this TV has an excellent picture expecially reproducing accurate skin tones. The picture with hdr content looks crisp and really shows details in the shadows. The apps run flawlessly but could be a bit faster. Not all TV apps are available but the ones used by the majority of us are there. The only real complaint I have is the remote. It needs to be dead on or the TV will not respond. I have not tried to add an rf remote yet. That may solve the problem. All in all I would buy this again.

Easy to set up. When I go from game system, to Netflix, or just watching TV. The system recognizes that I have turned one thing off and it switches for me. The picture is amazing, and makes you realize what you have been missing. All 4K TVs are not created equally.

I have not bought a Sony TV in years. I have typically bought Samsung and LG. Nothing wrong with those, but this Sony is the best ever. Voice recognition works perfectly. The quality of the picture is fantastic and for the size and value, the cost was cheap. In fact, I loved the TV so much, I bought another one and found a place to put it. Didn't need it but loved it so much, I just had to. For the price and quality, you cant do better.

We have historically been Samsung product buyers due to the brands quality and cost. When in the market for a new TV the Samsung was unavailable so decided to go with the slightly more pricer Sony 55” Smart TV. Needless to say the Sony has yielded exactly as advertised and more, from its ease of installation, deployment on home WiFi and overall picture quality that ranks best of class.

This is a good tv for the price I paid $499. The picture quality is very good and the sound quality is acceptable. It is only 60Hz, but the built in image processing does a good job of keeping the movement smooth. The build quality is very good, and the built in Android TV is great. My only complaint is the weak remote, which must be directly pointed at the center front of the TV to register any actions. It is frustrating and I promptly replaced the remote with a Harmony hub based system that uses Bluetooth instead of IR. Aside from the remote, this is a nice tv for the price.

This Sony is one incredible TV! A picture so great you feel like you are inside the TV! Such amazing colors to give scenery the wham! I just can't believe the picture. As I said earlier it is like you are in the room with the characters of the show! It's like you can touch them and think they would turn around and look at you! Sony does amazing things and this is just one of many!

Was on sale for $599. Well worth it. The billion color combinations/shades are AMAZING with 4K ultra content mostly found on streaming services and network steam apps. Easy to set up. Easy menu configurations. I don't use the Smart TV functions on the TV itself b/c I have ROKU ultra. I did notice that the Spectrum TV app on the TV wasn't available for install.

Black Friday week special and can't go wrong. 55" replaced my 40" Samsung so no comparison. I did not expect great sound but it has been an unexpected pleasure. At the moment I will not spend more money on a sound bar, but it is not our primary tv, and we don't listen to music through it. Easy to set up, which my fear looking at reviews of other brands.

We compared a lot of models from various companies with similar sizes and price points, this was definitely the Best Buy! It was slightly more expensive but well worth the few extra dollars! The picture quality is way beyond the competition at this price. Super easy setup and integrated seamlessly with my Sony sound bar. Buy with confidence!
