Stunning Top Of The Line OLED

We purchased this wonderful Sony about 1 month ago from BB. This is our 3rd Sony OLED in 5 years-not because they fail but our 3rd because the picture quality makes quantum leaps every year! Watching 4K movies on DVD is our primary form of home entertainment and the picture quality of this Bravia 8 65" just stands head and shoulders above the Korean brands. SONY-THE ONE AND ONLY! That advertising slogan was true in the 1970's and it is just as true today. Coupled with a state of the art Sony Dolby Atmos sound system and with the center "screen as a speaker" activated-well....it is the finest entertainment system we have ever owned!
We're thrilled to hear about your experience with the K65XR80M2 TV! Thank you for your loyalty to Sony OLED for the third time. We're proud of our advancements in picture quality, and it's great to know you're enjoying stunning visuals with 4K movies. Your comparison with other brands highlights our commitment to excellence. We're also excited that you've paired it with a Sony Dolby Atmos sound system for an enhanced experience! Thank you for sharing, and we hope you enjoy your Sony products for years to come!

The Bravia 8 mkii looked great in store, but looks even better at home. This gets very bright but also very cinematic when it needs to be. Only grudge you could say is the biggest size it comes in is 65”, but if thats the size you’re looking for then this is the model for you. Ive considered other great options but the processing and color accuracy sony puts towards their tvs outperforms the competition. 10/10
We're excited to hear that the K65XR80M2 TV exceeded your expectations from store to home, delivering both impressive brightness and cinematic quality. Your appreciation for Sony’s processing and color accuracy truly means a lot to us. Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful and detailed review—it’s wonderful to know this model suits you perfectly!

This is an excellent television! I get almost the same quality picture as was experienced on the floor models in the Best Buy Store. This is to be expected since the floor models are not "streaming" . This is my second purchase of this same exact TV.
It is like going to a movie house without having to get up and go there.
We couldn't be happier to hear that you are enjoying your second K65XR80M2 TV and that it delivers such excellent picture quality, closely matching the floor models you experienced. Knowing it brings you the comfort and cinematic experience of a movie theater right at home truly means a lot to us. Thank you for your continued trust and support—it’s customers like you who inspire us to keep delivering the best.

Let me start by saying, in my opinion, this is the best TV money can buy. Sony just downright knows how to make an arguably a perfect TV. Picture quality is 2nd to none. Brightness is bright, but not overly bright, color is rich, natural and accurate. Processing is king, making 720p and 1080p content almost appear like 4k content with so much detail in every way possible. My only grip would be gaming brightness and only having 2 HDMI 2.1 inputs are a bit disappointing for what you’re paying for. Overall, this TV is everything I have wanted from a set. If your budget can swing it, grab one and enjoy one heck of a ride for years to come
Hi Kevinthetechguy, We are really happy to hear how much you're enjoying your new BRAVIA 8 II. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. It's great to know that you're loving the picture quality, especially the processing that makes everything look so crisp and detailed.
Thank you for the notes on gaming brightness and the HDMI inputs. We're always looking for ways to improve and your comments are incredibly valuable.
We appreciate you choosing Sony! Best regards, Estefany

“Unmatched Picture and Sound — The Best TV of 2025

The Sony Bravia 8ii is hands down one of the best TVs of 2025. The picture quality is stunning — it feels like watching movies on an M4 iPad display. Tweaking the picture settings can be a bit challenging, but once dialed in, the visuals are flawless and the sound is equally impressive. It’s definitely pricey, but you’re paying for top-tier quality
That is incredibly high praise! We are absolutely thrilled that you consider the 65" BRAVIA 8 II OLED one of the best TVs of 2025 and find the picture quality stunning and the sound impressive. We understand that dialing in the settings can take time, but we are delighted you found the flawless visuals worth the effort! Thanks for choosing Sony.

This TV is BRIGHT!!!

This TV is incredibly bright! I upgraded from a 2019 OLED C9 seeking a brighter display. After comparing this TV to LG’s 2025 flagship, I chose the Sony based on the reputation of the Sony A95L, and I have no regrets. The colors from its QD-OLED panel are striking, the vibrant visuals are perfect for gaming. It took a day to adjust to the warmer tones (slightly magenta?), but they quickly feel natural. Compared to an LG C3, the colors really pop. It’s an outstanding TV. The only drawbacks are its premium price and that only two of the four HDMI ports are 2.1. If you have multiple consoles and a soundbar, consider an HDMI switch to avoid cable swapping. Overall, it’s a fantastic TV!
Thanks for the excellent review and the 5-stars rating! We are honored to hear that you have taken the decision to purchase a Sony Bravia TV, you will definitely enjoy the incredible picture quality and see billions of accurate real-world colors with a Quantum Dot panel and XR Triluminos Max! We appreciate all feedback, such as the HDMI ports situation, which can be taken in consideration for future references.
Thanks for choosing Sony, have a nice day! -DiegoV

I’m finding that the Sony Bravia 8 II delivers one of the most stunning OLED displays yet, with brighter HDR highlights, richer color, and super black contrast. I’ve opted for a nice soundbar but the screen emanating sound was very clear. Wish it had another HDMI 2.1 port as it only has two; something gamers may want to consider. All-in-all I purchased this pricey OLED for its clarity, color quality, brightness and Sony’s reputation for reliability.
We're truly heartened to learn that the K65XR80M2 OLED TV has impressed you with its clarity, vibrant colors, and stunning brightness. It makes us really happy to hear you found both the display and audio quality stand out, and that Sony’s reliability remains a key reason for your choice. Your insight on HDMI ports is appreciated—thank you for sharing your thoughts!

As a movie-phile. loved the Tv, but. excellent picture quality.
I had a sony Z9D prior to this. So i was used to super high brightness and very good deep blacks.
straight out of the box, colors are vibrant, contrast is clean, and imiage processing was awesome.
playing 4K moves through the UPB 700 from sony was breathtaking. i didn't see a need to calibrate the tv. peak brightness on scenes was superb.
streaming through an apple tv 4K latest gen, was also very good. it read dolby vision content, and played back no issues. rendering the low nitrate content was also very good. hard to tell you were streaming 4K dolby vision content.
streaming SDR content was all very good. it did a very good job at cleaning up and upscaling the content.
The interface is one of my favorites. i can access the settings very quickly and out fuz if i needed to adjust anything.
it was also great that i could use the tv panel sound and paired to with my surround so i could add more clarity with the center channel i have hooked up.
As for why i had to change and go for the LG G5. it's because of the lack of HDMI 2.1 ports.
it only had 2 compared to 4 on the LG.
i had to unplug and plug things in like the blue ray, apple tv, and xbox so i can take full advantage of 120 frames while gaming, full spectrum bandwidth while streaming for dolby vision and dolby atmos for my older marantz reviver.
Hi Flip, Thank you for sharing such a detailed review! We are very glad to hear you appreciated the excellent picture quality, vibrant colors and smooth processing of the K-65XR80M2. It’s great to know the TV handled 4K and Dolby Vision content so well.
We designed this model to offer quick, user-friendly interface access and flexible sound options to enhance your viewing experience. We understand the importance of HDMI 2.1 ports for your setup and appreciate your thoughtful feedback as it helps us continue improving our products.
Thank you for putting your trust in Sony! Warm regards, Estefany

This tv is great. Easily my best purchase and clearly the best since the annoying manager at Best Buy wouldn’t stop trying to get me to purchase more stuff even though I explicitly told him I only wanted the tv. He kept making faces and scuffing as I opposed his tactics. Kinda funny watching him get frustrated as he probably though I was an idiot for not getting additional surge protection even after he tried to explain to me why I needed it(I’m an electrical engineer I know what it does. I also already had some that was relatively new).

Amazing colors, picture and sound, sharpness, no words to describe it just perfect, the showroom at Best Buy might be scary to decide but one's at home no regrets $$$$. 4 stars for remote control lacs numeric pad and no more stereo output from TV HDMI ARC signal to home theater system.
Thank you for your fantastic review! We are thrilled to hear that you are so impressed with the BRAVIA 8 II's picture quality, colors, and sound, and that the TV looks even better in your home than it did in the showroom. We also appreciate you providing such detailed and honest feedback. We understand your concerns about the remote control's design and the lack of a numeric pad—our aim with the remote is to provide a sleek, streamlined user experience, but we recognize that this can be a change for some users.
Thank you again for your valuable feedback and for choosing Sony!

Sony has made an excellent line of TVs even better with this second generation OLED TV. The picture is stunningly beautiful.
I was also impressed with how much Sony has improved the setup process, especially with the apps. QR codes for logging in to the apps made it much easier to authorize the TV with the app. No need to remember passwords!
The TV also did a great job of recognizing all of the devices attached to the four HDMI ports. Again, It was very easy.
We love the TV.
Thank you so much for the fantastic review! We're thrilled to hear that you're loving your new BRAVIA 8 II TV and that the picture quality is hitting the mark for you. had an oled 65 inch sony, that got a burned in image I just could not live with ( my fault I did not know they were susceptible to that, and my wife would listen to Dish CD all day with that static image on screen, dish should know better that that), so I bought a starts with S and ends in sung neo qled thinking I would be happy with that, not even close! Best buy let me return it and upgrade to the MKII Bravia 8 O heck Yea! picture to kill for, I showed her the turn off screen feature, when using anything like pause or static image.
Hi LARRYM, thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed experience—we appreciate your honesty and enthusiasm! It’s wonderful to hear you’re enjoying the BRAVIA 8 MKII and that its picture quality stands out for you.
OLED technology does offer exceptional color and contrast, but as you’ve noticed, it can be susceptible to image retention (sometimes called “burn-in”) with prolonged static images. Activities like leaving a channel logo, paused video, or music app on screen for long periods can gradually cause this effect. Your experience is a great reminder about the importance of screen management, and we’re glad you discovered the screen turn-off feature on the new BRAVIA—it’s an excellent way to protect your OLED panel during music streaming or any situation with a static display.
The BRAVIA 8 MKII is designed with smarter tools to help prevent burn-in, including pixel shift, screen savers, and customizable screen-off options. Using these features during static usage (like streaming audio through apps) can help ensure you keep enjoying vibrant picture quality for years to come.
If you ever have questions about settings or want tips to optimize your BRAVIA experience, our support team is here to help. Thanks again for coming back to Sony and for highlighting practical ways other users can take care of their TVs!

Overall a very nice TV, that is now at a much more reasonable price.
At first glance I think it looks about the same as the A95L, but with the upgraded processor it feels a big less laggy in the menus and hopefully a bit more future proofed.
One note is that the SDR brightness is a bit low until you mess with the configurations to brighten it up a bit.
Hi SamB! We are truly grateful to hear your thoughts about the BRAVIA 8 II. It’s a fantastic TV that offers stunning picture quality and vibrant colors. We appreciate your note regarding the SDR brightness; adjusting the settings can definitely help improve that aspect. Your feedback is invaluable as we strive to make our products even better!

Upgraded from an LG C9. The picture quality is amazing. I wasn’t expecting a big difference going from one OLED to another, but I’m impressed. Main reason I upgraded was cause the audio processing on the C9 was awful. Had issues getting great sound. The Bravia does a great job with audio processing and I’m able to play content at any quality.
Hi Galoki, Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! We are really happy to hear how impressed you are with the upgrade to your new BRAVIA 8 II.
It’s great to know that you're noticing such a significant difference in picture quality, especially coming from another OLED. Picture is superb out of the box. Coming from the A80j which is still running strong. The HDMI connection via e arc seems to be having a problem staying connected once I shut off the TV or Cinema 50 receiver, I’m considering returning but the picture is so beautiful the decision is touch to make
Hi Mikey, thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We're really happy to hear you're enjoying the superb picture quality right out of the box of the Sony - BRAVIA 8 II. We understand that issues with the eARC connection can be difficult and this is certainly not the experience we aim for. We want to ensure all aspects of your TV function properly, here are some troubleshooting steps that can resolve the problem:
1- Perform a power reset of your TV and Receiver. Turn off both devices and disconnect the power cords and HDMI cable from both devices for two minutes, then reconnect the HDMI cable to the HDMI IN ARC of the TV and the other end to the HDMI OUT ARC of the receiver. Connect the power cords, and turn on first the TV and then the Receiver. 2- Enable the BRAVIA sync settings on the TV by going to settings > channels and inputs > external inputs > BRAVIA sync settings > BRAVIA sync device list > enable 3- Make sure the eARC mode is set to Auto. In settings go to display and sound > audio output > eARC mode > auto
If these steps don't resolve the issue, please don't hesitate to contact our customer support team directly through the link below, they would be happy to walk you through more in-depth troubleshooting or discuss potential solutions. https://us.esupport.sony.com/support/s/support-contact?language=en_US&category=tv
