You'll find that it comes with a wide variety of popular streaming apps pre-installed and available to download from the Google Play Store, so you shouldn't need a separate streaming stick to access your favorite content. However, if you ever feel the need for an even wider selection of apps, different user interface, a separate streaming device can sometimes offer those benefits.

We are sorry to hear that the default settings on your BRAVIA 8 feel too dark. To quickly brighten the picture, we recommend turning off the Eco and Ambient Light Sensor settings in the Power & Energy menu, as these often dim the screen based on your room's lighting. For a more vibrant look, try switching the Picture Mode to Standard or Vivid, and ensure Peak Luminance is set to High. Thanks for choosing Sony.
