I don’t know if it’s the TV or a problem with our reception but we get ghosts on the screen.Other that not a problem. Even though we purchased the TV on January 27, 2025, we didn’t receive our TV until February 5, 2025 and since we purchased a 5 year extended warranty it should go into effect as of that day.

Terrible Delivery/installation process

The purchase process in the store was good. This comment is on the awful installation and delivery customer service only. I can't find another way to communicate this. Had a 9-1 window yesterday. I called at 12:50. He pointed out 3 times that they are still within the 9-1 window. After I explained there were only a few minutes left, he tried multiple times to contact the drivers. After telling me 3 times that he couldn't get a hold of them, he also told me they are in transit and also that they were dealing with an urgent issue. Which is it? He tells me the delivery day is 7AM to 7PM and i should keep my phone line open. I also talked to delivery services. It was a better conversation, but didn't get anywhere. I call back 2 hours later she tells me they have to reschedule. Nobody contacted me throughout this to let me know anything. In all 3 conversations, my inner "Karen" requested a supervisor. The first guy said i would just get the same answer but eventually told me i would get called back. Second said the same. The 3rd was surprised that nobody called me back. Still nothing. Even with the error, they had no interest in accomodating my schedule to expedite delivery so its now pushed back until 12/9. They also won't discuss remediation until the installation is complete. Terrible customer service all around after the purchase.

I was disappointed with the Sony - 65" Class BRAVIA 8 OLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV's (2024) performance, especially its brightness. Even at the highest settings, the screen looks dim and lacks the vivid picture quality I expected. Compared to other Oled TVs of similar age and caliber, it simply doesn’t hold up. Colors appear muted, and watching during the day or in a well-lit room is frustrating. Overall, this TV feels behind the times and not on par with other Oled models that still manage to deliver a brighter, more enjoyable viewing experience especially at the price point of $1999.
We are truly sorry to hear that the brightness of your new BRAVIA 8 has not met your expectations, especially when compared to other OLED models. We understand your frustration, as we want every customer to feel they are getting a premium, vivid viewing experience at this price point.
The BRAVIA 8 is designed with a focus on cinematic studio accuracy, aiming to reproduce colors and shadows exactly as film directors intended. However, we recognize that in well-lit rooms, a "dim" appearance can be frustrating.
Before giving up on the unit, we recommend checking if the "Ambient Light Sensor" or "Eco Dashboard" settings are enabled, as these can sometimes aggressively dim the peak brightness based on your room's lighting. Additionally, switching the Picture Mode to "Vivid" or "Standard" and ensuring "Peak Luminance" is set to High can significantly boost the punch of the OLED panel.

Picture not as sharp as expected. Remote not great

My new Sony 65” Bravia OLED tv is a lemon

I have called Sony service several times to have them fix issues with my new Bravia 65” TV. The TV screen will freeze and then turn off and restart. This is happening 3 to 5 times daily. There are times that when I try to turn on the Television and tv is just a black screen, I have to unplug and the plug tv back in for it to turn on. Sometimes when trying to login to Hulu, it will not login. I have to unplug tv and then plug back in to be able to get Hulu to work. There have been 3 times that the tv will just start showing subtitles. I checked out all settings and nothing is turned on for subtitles. I had to uninstall Hulu and then reinstall Hulu to remove subtitles. My last phone call to Sony service on Saturday January 18, 2025 ended with Sony service informing me that I need to call back on Monday to speak to Sony customer relations about a replacement.
