said it had a digital audio out, but it did not. this was needed to attach headphones.

The Sony K-65XR90 is equipped with a DIGITAL AUDIO OUT terminal (optical), which allows the connection of digital audio devices. To connect headphones using this output, you cannot plug them directly into the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT port. Instead, you will need an external device—such as an optical-to-analog converter and a headphone amplifier or transmitter (like the Sony WLA-NS7)—to enable headphone use. The TV does not natively support direct headphone connection via the digital audio out port, but it can be adapted using appropriate external accessories designed to convert the digital signal and drive headphones. Doesn't Power On

Bought in Aug. 2024. Died Dec. 2025, just outside of warranty. When powering on it will make clicking sounds, but never turns on. Had it looked at and was told that to replace one board it's $500.00, if both boards (Main and Power) need replacing it's $1200.00.

The TV is great. The problem is that I purchased it in the store as new and when I got it home & unboxed it, It was used. I am struggling with this company to get this corrected.

For 3 grand i expected a lot better picture than this.

Poor resolution and performance! However the audio is excellent!
Hi Jimmie, Thank you for recognizing the Multi Acoustic Audio+ advantages but the resolution is 4K the most common resolution also the technology that was used to create this product was also used in the BVM-HX3110 reference monitor. Maybe adjusting the picture mode to Professional or Cinema for your streaming content. Last the XR Clear Image feature does an amazing job at Upscaling all your HD and digital content to bring back lost detail.

The picture is vibrant and very bright. Sound is good.TV is heavier and thicker than most so be aware.Its a beast.4K picture is breathtaking and has 2.1 HDMI 120 hz inputs for gaming, blueray etc Flagship performance for Sony in 2024 and in 2025 and can compete with OLED.Worth the money.

Beauty with Fatal Flaws

Beautiful picture with fine sound but for me had two critical faults:
1. Not really compatible with BOSE Ultra sound bar. Well it is BUT the BOSE won't leave the TV off; it self powers up after 10 minutes of off, Zombie mode not OK by me.
2. After I replaced BOSE with Sonos ARC problem 1 goes away but the Sony TV does not power up reliably after it is down for a few minutes. I have to try several times, then it finally starts after some kind internal reboot.
These may be a simple software fix away, but not in time for me. :(

Disappointed with tv because we continue to have a "flickering" issue. Best Buy has been great and sent a replacement but still have issue. Geek squad did great.
