I was introduced to OLED through a previous purchase of a LG B2. After seeing the difference in picture quality there was no going back to LED. After 4 years my LG fell fault to burn in and LG would only offer me $200 off a newer model. After plenty of research I decided to jump ship and give Sony a shot. So far I’m extremely impressed and very happy with my purchase. Next to my older LG OLED the Sony blows it out of the water. The only fault I could give the TV is that it isn’t the brightest screen. That’s not an issue for myself because my eyes are quite sensitive to bright lights anyhow. So if you don’t need a TV that melts your eyes this is the one for you!! Dolby Vision and HDR content looks amazing and the display gets plenty bright enough to see all the detail.

I was bowled over with the true black that all LED’s hadn’t got it right. The only thing that gets me to give 4 star is the sound quality. In order to try and create surround sound, it’s lost some clarity at low volume. I clubbed a Sonos sound bar to get over the problem.

The picture quality is fantastic and watching movies in cinema picture mode is about as good as in gets for at home.

My First Sony

From the picture to the sound quality it has satisfied at every level. There is still alot more to this set for me to learn, mainly having to do with the Google TV part. If I were to say anything negative it would have to be when a message popped on the screen saying that my storage was full. I can't really understand that since we have only had it for 2 weeks. I sure this has a quick fix if I can figure out what that is. If I can't I will contact Sony or Best Buy and see if I can get an answer from them. Until then I will keep exploring.

After many years of Samsung, I returned to Sony

I currently have 3 Samsung TVs of varying sizes and have been very happy with those. The sound quality of this TV is so good that I don't feel it necessary to have a sound bar.
