Great TV in ever way except ethernet connection

Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a soft spot for the Bravia line of televisions because they work so perfectly with my PlayStations (ps4 and ps5). Everything about this TV is superb. It surprisingly has acceptable built in speakers with suitable bass. A soundbar or 5.1 system like I have is the way to go though. There is 1 flaw I found to be unacceptable in a TV like this. The Ethernet port on the back is limited to 100mbps. In 2022 when I purchased this, 1gbps (1000mbps) connections are pretty standard in communication devices if they want to compete against wireless speeds. I find it my foolish that my hardwired CAT6 connection to my internet will only reach up/down speeds of 100mbps, when this TV across the house from the router can reach 600-700mbps speeds using the built in wireless. It's petty to complain about I know, because most people don't care about hard wiring things today. But I'm adding this in here in case anyone is looking for good ethernet speed through a wire

It automatically changes the settings when my husband and I play our PS5. And it has reduced the heat output in our room significantly!

Well that was this tv. We decided to upgrade the Living Room tv and after looking at all the tv's at BB, and talking to the sales man, it came down to this tv or the LG model. We went with the Sony since we were replacing an older Sony, Geek Squad Delivered it, set it up, configured it to my 12yr old LG sound bar and it worked.. it was awesome! Then we went turned off the tv and turned it back on, The sound bar just wouldn't play nice with the tv using optical or eArc, no matter what we did, it didn't play nice. and no matter what we did, it just didnt like the soundbar. on top of that, this is one model that the Xfinity App is unavailable to install on, one of the reason's for getting the smart tv was to get rid of the cable box. I bought the Sony Sound bar to replace the old LG one, But, before I installed it, I was already sour on this tv.. My wife and me talked about it and the plus's and minus's and decided it wasn't the tv for us. 4 days after we bought it and used it, we were sour on this tv, and had it replaced with the LG. The plus were, it has a great picture, it has a anti-glare screen, it isn't a bad tv, but didn't wasn't the tv for us

The Xfinity Stream app is not currently available on the BRAVIA XR A80K TV. However, the TV has built-in Chromecast feature to cast the content from the Xfinity Stream app on your mobile device to the TV. The TV is easy to use and the picture is incredible, I would recommend this Sony to a friend

Sound is really great for a flat screen. Expensive but worth the price. Connected Apple TV and a Sony 4K Blue Ray. Important to know Xfinity does not broadcast in 4K - only for streaming!

Was in excellent condition and came with everything except the remote but for half the price I didn’t mind. So glad I went with Sony because I fell in love with their interface and control. Visuals look amazing on this Tv can’t go wrong with it.
