Amazing when dark.

Only bad part is the intrnet connection to the tv goes off and on every so often. My modem isnt that far away. Also alot of stuff isnt 4k. But you can see the tv from any angle because of the OLEDs. Amazing

I watch a lot of movies and was worried about the soap opera effect ruining the experience. Not the case at all. Even if I don't shut off the motion blur features, it looks unbelievably good. Can't speak to the sound quality because I use a soundbar.

Ive owned the best of the best Samsungs, but thought I’d give OLED a go… im just not sure about the interface and the picture in general. The blacks are darker i suppose which make the lights real bright. Meh, i dont know…

It performs best in dark rooms while watching movies because it displays deep blacks without any blooming in dark scenes. It's excellent for HDR because of that dark room performance and the fact that it displays a wide range of colors, but its HDR brightness isn't high enough for the best HDR experience. It's great for watching TV shows and excellent for sports in well-lit rooms thanks to its wide viewing angle and incredible reflection handling, but it doesn't get bright enough to fight a ton of glare. Lastly, it's fantastic for gaming as it has variable refresh rate (VRR) support with HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, a quick response time, and low input lag.

I upgraded from a 55" LG c7 and couldn't be happier. The image processing for shows and movies is great. GoogleTV is also a huge upfrade over LG's laggy and terrible interface.

Disappointing After 18 Months

However, after just 18 months of use, I started experiencing issues. The TV began shutting off after only a few minutes of watching, and eventually, it wouldn't turn on at all. To make matters worse, strange lines started appearing on the screen. I reached out to Sony customer support, hoping they could help, but unfortunately, they only offer a 1-year warranty. With no further assistance available, I’m stuck with a broken TV. It’s really frustrating to spend good money on a product that starts failing so soon after the warranty ends. Definitely reconsidering buying another Sony in the future. Would have been a great TV if it had lasted longer, but the lack of support and the short warranty leave much to be desired.
