Coming From 65 Inch LCD

My 65 inch 900F was an amazing TV. Bright enough for me. Doing reseach comparing the panels and I thought OLED wont be bright enough for the type of room im gonna use it. But i was wrong. The A80K was more than enough. Hoping burn in wont be a problem.

Would recommend Sony a80K

We got the 77” and paired with the Sony A5000 soundbar. We tried watching dolby enabled content on it and it is absolute joy. I give it a 4 star on sound only because I never used it. I hooked it up to my soundbar from day 1 and never tried the sound from the tv.

But the TV is only as good as the person who installed the bracket on the wall. A tremendous TV. It’s like having a computer on your wall. Internet Connectivity Issue

I started noticing that TV failed to connect to internet when turn on after 4-5 hours. This happened four times within three weeks. When i checked internet i found out that this is Sony known issue and no firmware been issued successfully to fix this issue. This tv is beautiful and mounted on the wall, un plugging wait a minute and then plugging back in is the only way to connect to internet if it fails to connect automatically. Does this $3500 TV worth this pain? absolutely not.

Blackest black I ever saw on a TV. Magnificent color range. Zero blooming. OLED is the $h!+!! Crazy thing is this TV has speakers behind the screen. Audio is better than average but most will want additional audio equipment. There is a setting to use the TV speakers as center channel. Kinda cool if you blew most of your budget on this display! TIPS: 1) make sure your 4K HDR devices are in HDMI ports 3 & 4 or you will not get dynamic range benefits, 2) take your time setting up the picture—read some articles with calibration guidance, 3) learn to love Google TV. I ran everything thru my PS5 for a while because every TV OS I'd ever tried was garbage. Google TV is nice. 4) be patient with the remote in your streaming apps—you'll figure it out ;-)

Not "the best", but the best for what I needed

I wanted a 75 inch class TV to pair with my PS5 (as well as for general mixed usage). It needed to have a nice sleek stand that was wide enough to place my soundbar under, it needed to have a Google OS, and it needed to have excellent processing power as well as picture quality. The A80K does all of this and I have been VERY pleased so far. Sure, there are "better" OLED TVs out this year, but between wanting it for my PS5, wanting a certain type of stand, and wanting a Google OS, I was pretty much locked into shopping for Bravias from the start... and the A80K is Sony's only OLED that comes in a 77 inch panel. A few ratings sites criticized this TV versus its competition, but it is important to remember just how close that competition was this year. You really had to resort to "splitting hairs" to establish any sort of top ten list for 2022. So I'll provide a short pro/con list comparing the A80K versus the only real competition it had in my mind, the LG C2... PROS: BEAUTIFUL picture, great stand, GoogleOS, Sony pedigree, designed to work with the PS5, powerful, competitively priced with competitors when on sale, plenty bright in its "vivid" or "game mode" settings. CONS: Not bright enough in its standard or cinematic settings for my taste, only 2 HDMI 2.1 ports (4 total ports, but only 3 and 4 are 2.1... what the heck Sony?), all the inputs are on the left side of the TV, so your existing premium HDMI cables may not be long enough to connect some devices, no backlight on the remote (OLED TVs love dark rooms, but I can't see my remote anymore). All in all if you want a Sony OLED in 77 inches, this is your ONLY choice, and one of like 2 or 3 max if you are willing to accept another brand like LG. If you are looking for a 65 inch panel or smaller, you have a lot of decisions to make, and I don't envy you... the competition is stiff this year!

I could imagine how my ps5 would look on. But Sony TV'S are the way to go. Mine is 8 years old and kicking. I would love to be able to purchase this tv. But just cant. Ill have to hold on to mine. But as a review, I played around with my neighbors and it is absolutly amazing. I might have to tv sit when hes out of town. You cant go wrong with this tv. Its awesome. One day it will be on my wall.
