So, going to f4.0 was a challenge. The lens does what it is supposed to do, it just wasn't for me.

As far as IQ and rendering, this lens is just as sharp as its bigger GMii sibling. It has better IQ than the previous GM 16-35! It’s small size and light weight make it a stellar choice for street, landscape, and general photo sessions. The demanding 61 mp sensor on my A7RV plays very well with this lens, so the 33mp A7IV would be even better (I own that camera as well). I’m pairing this with another fantastic Sony lens, the Sony 20-70 F/4.
