I actually bought this item and the model below it. Both Sony products are very good, connection with Internet was fast and quick. I do a lot of streaming in my motorhome and both units work perfectly

Just got the player but so far it is working exactly as it should.

Plays and upscales well for DVDs. Since it is an older model the supported apps are lacking and universal remote function does cover all models like Visio. Otherwise it is very nice. Also worth noting the quick start mode essentially uses the same power as playing DVD (about 8 versus 9 watts). Therefore powering off unit in quick start mode only shuts off display.

Small, compact size is great. The Blu Ray and DVD functions seem to work well. I have yet to figure out how to stream and use other functions: perhaps the instructions could be a bit clearer.

I would recommend to anyone!! It’s Compact and performs wonderful!!

Works perfectly and great image. I bought some Blue rays disk and I could not find my old player and I am kind of glad I lost the old one. This one is small and works great.

Great quality, picture, and super easy to operate!!!

I like being able to use this player to stream content from Netflix, Amazon and such. Grinding noise can be heard sometimes whether there is a disc inside or not. Keeps searching for the internet. I don't have that problem with other devices. I don't like that the door for a DVD will not open if you are on an app streaming content, you have to select HOME button. Other then that it's cool and does the job.

Nice player but other than streaming 4K movies, it’s almost exactly the same as my older bluray player.

Not a bad product, and reasonably priced. Old DVD crapped out, so this one gets the job. We like that you can stream through it, but not really needed, as you can stream directly thru the television as well. There's going to come a point when we won't have Blu-Ray, and everything will stream...I'm sure they'll figure out a new way to get our money! AmIright?!?

We haven't had any issues with this Blue Ray player. We use it for DVDs and streaming.

Seems after a certain year of owning a Sony product,it breaks down and I get another one, this is smaller then the one I have now but has more features then the " broken " one. The 4K upscaleing I still don't understand, all I Ned is a blue disc player with options to apps , sure my smart tv can play different apps but I can go from the disc player instead of tuning to tvs smartness.... Good price too and the wifi built in

Works well, easy set up, has some apps, but wish could add some more apps.

Purchased an upgrade Sony TV to do with this upgrade soundbar. Bought both as Sony's hoping they would play well together. lots of features and good sound stage expansion when paired with wireless rear speakers (the rears themselves emit little sound). However, the sound bar quickly and repeatedly looses sync with the TV!!! I have spent hours working on this and it will now work until I change input devices. Frustrating, as I thought I was upgrading and simplifying from my audio component days.

Excellent box. Smaller with more features and gives a great picture.

Bought this item for my 91-year old Dad and his 75-year old wife. Their combo VCR-DVD player died. Bad News: Everyone knows that VCRs are no longer made. GOOD NEWS: The straight forward controls of this DVD Bluray player are clear enough so that his wife can operate it without calling me. Only drawback is the player had only the 4K upscale which won't matter until every DVD is 4K (if the 4K upscale doesn't do well).
