    Ive owned this for the last month or so and i love it. So much lighter then the previous 1.4 i owned. Sharp and clean.

    This is a fantastic prime lens from Sony. Picture quality is very clean, sharp, and beautiful. This is a great lens for portrait. Highly recommend this lens for any Sony mirrorless camera owner.

    Fantastic lens. It is so small and compact for such a high quality lens. This thing rarely comes off of my camera. The 50mm focal length is a must have for every photographer. I used to keep the 85mm in my camera, but not anymore. I love the fact that sony came down on the price compared to the previous versions of the 50mm gm. Now it makes more sense to just go GM instead of Sigma.

    I only use Sony lenses. Have had a couple third party lenses and they (to my eye) are not as sharp, as quick to focus or color as realistic. Have several G Master and G Master II lenses. This Sony 50mm 1.4 GM is the sharpest of all of them. I sold my Sony 50mm 1.2 GM as this lens is smaller, easier to carry around and sharper (again to my eye). My all time favorite lens love it!

    It's what you expect from a Sony GM lens. Great ergonomics, clear, crisp shots, and fast autofocus. It's a pretty good price, too. It's the perfect nifty-fifty. I don't regret going with this option over paying another $800 for the 1.2, and I use it professionally.

    As a pro photographer you want the best you can get. I love the neutral color density with this lense. Sigma leans just a bit further to warm with a brown color cast that I don't want to have to mess with correcting all the time.

    This lens is a dream! Made the mistake of buying the 2.8 thinking there's no way the difference in it and the 1.4 could justify the price difference . Man was I wrong! This is a must have in any portrait photographers bag!

    I am really impressed with this lens. It takes beautiful photos and shooting at f1.4 gives it that pretty bokeh background. Love that it’s lightweight compared to the 50mm f1.2. It’s an all around great lens!

    I’m a amateur photographer. It was hard for me to find the right lens. There are a forest of e-mound lens. Finally I found the lens for me. The Sony 50mm f1.4 is a Sequoia in that forest.
