It work, but there is a slight input delay and dramatic drop in resolution and sometimes frame rate compared to TV play. Not ideal for all experiences, but works well for games that require less reaction time such as a JRPG.

I would give it 5 stars, however it does get a little laggy at times due to it streaming from PS5. I LOVE it and it works well for me, however if you are unable to hardwire your PS5 it may not be as fast as you want. I play red dead on it all night after my wife holds the living room TV hostage.

Works well but the sticks feel a little flimsier than the regular controller. Make sure you have solid wifi - there is a little bit of lag with soulslike games that can be the difference between winning and losing...

Great looking device, sleek, lightweight and looks amazing. Downsides would be it only has streaming services so you are at the mercy of your connection and lag/latency issues. No twitch shooters or frame perfect fighters on here

So this is a really cool device. It lets you stream your ps5 games onto it and play from virtually anywhere as long as you have a good internet connection. The screen looks great and the feel of the controls is really good. So if other family is using the big screen tv then you can just turn this on and put some headphones on and be in your own world playing your favorite games. Highly recommend.

This is a great purchase if you wanna game when away from home. Even if I dont have a wifi connection it works great using my phone as a hotspot and I am able to play when no issues. I love the all black finish as well. Its a pegect handheld size and screen brightness and battery life is really good for the price.

You really have to know what you’re getting into when you purchase a PlayStation portal. It is a streaming device that essentially has no off-line capabilities other than an options menu. If you go into this purchase, knowing that, you are really going to enjoy this device. It’s streaming capabilities without even having to turn on my PS5 is a game changer

A good device for remote access to ps5 console.
I believe this works for ps4 as well but I havent tested that.
This device is an easy setup. Just power up and follow instructions on linking with console and setup wifi.
The devices feels comfortable in hands while playing.
The display is a good size and sound/brightness can be adjusted.
You must have a very strong internet connection otherwise you will notice lag while playing both online and offline.

Very high quality product, fun to use. Requires a very strong Internet connection to work, which limits it's usability, but it does what it advertises well.

Got this for my son, specifically to keep the peace in the house as I watch college football on fall Saturdays and he’s itching to play on his PS5. What sold me is the ability to now stream games (with PS+ online membership) from a growing library of games. Some slight latency issues, as with all streaming game systems, but it’s been a great experience. Well built. Basically a controller built around the screen.

The PS Portal is a good device as an add on for the PS5, it is convenient if u want to play while laying down, or ur tv is occupied. There’s only 1 thing I don’t like is there’s a bit of a lag

The PS Portal plays and feels just like I wanted it to. The controllers feel great to hold and use, and I can use it for hours without fatigue. The screen does better without direct sunlight on it, but the screen not being OLED isn’t a deal breaker, as I believe it does contribute to the great battery life. I don’t play games that requiere absolutely zero lag or live service games so I can’t speak on that front, but for my singe player life, it works exceedingly well. Four stars due to the lack of Bluetooth connectivity and minor network issues.
