So i had already bought hubby his Christmas presents which was the Crazy 8’s in both coloways because he is a sneaker head. So i though ok cool im done presents are wrapped im good. Well no, all i keep hearing about was this PlayStation portal thing and how hard it was to get and how much he wanted it. He told me this on December 20th people!!!! It was sold out everywhere!!!! Omg i about had a heart attack. This thing was like a unicorn only heard about in myths and folklore lol and by some miracle on the 21st i was able to score one online on the Bestbuy app. He has not stopped raving about how lucky he is and how cool it is. Its really nice to see him so excited about a present.

This thing really surprised me. I was fully expecting to be disappointed but it works surprisingly well. I wouldn't recommend it for anything that requires really quick reaction times, because it can be a little laggy at times with the connection, but it's great otherwise. I'm thrilled that I can play the PS5 now if someone else in the house wants to watch something on the nice OLED TV!

Having little to no time to myself and not being able to get to my man cave the Portal gives me a chance to game from time to time. I hardly notice any difference in graphics and the haptics are just as good as the PS5 controller.
The only drawback is the reliance of WiFi, but I knew that going in. There are times when it is very laggy. Also, some spots in my house don’t have great WiFi connectivity. As long as you have a strong WiFi network. You shouldn’t have any problems

Its an excellent remote player. I like it better than using my phone or tablet. Sony deciding not to add bluetooth capabilities is a head scratcher but there are ways around it. The screen is vibrant and large enough to enjoy gaming on the go. I've used this with my hotspot and other wifi away from home and aslong as the wifi is strong enough it works great with minor frame drops. Battery life is decent and lasts longer with some minor tweaks to settings. Pricing is where it should be. Overall a great item that does what its intended to do very well, with some minor issues that are easily remedied.

It’s not what I thought it was. I really wanted to like it but it’s a 5/10, might return

Build quality is fantastic, and the screen is gorgeous. The connectivity to the console is excellent with very rare hiccups, and I’m using a 1gb WiFi FiOs connection for reference. I only play single player games and this device is perfect for games like Ultros, Balatros, FF7 Remake, Ratchet and Clank, and Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection. I don’t play shooters on this because I prefer a larger screen for that, but im sure others would enjoy it.
If you’ve been on the fence, do yourself a favor and get one now that they’re back in stock regularly.

Super comfortable but mediocre video quality

I love how comfortable this device is but the lack of bluetooth audio support and the frequently fuzzy video/graphics quality ever since my first post-launch firmware update makes this hard to recommend. If the video quality returns to be like how it was near launch it actually would be easy to recommend even without bluetooth audio support. Since it had been better for my home WiFi setup, I expect it to be improved/restored in future updates which is the main reason I haven't returned the Portal. Until such an update fixes my video quality issues I haven't been using it since the quality is too low lately for me to consider it worth playing.

Works great, use it alot. While it does need wifi it is a nice thing to have if your a big ps5 fan. Good for children or adults. Have not had any huge issues and as long as the wifi is strong/normal you wont have disconnect issues as well.
Overall a nice little addon. Definitely not a item to buy if your expecting it to work without wifi etc. Common sense when buying this item.

I love it so far. I don't have the best internet connection and it works great. 1st Person Shooter games like Call of Duty are hard to play on it, but any other game like Fortnite, FIFA, and 3rd Person RPG works perfectly fine.
Yes, this is basically a share screen for your ps5 console, and Yes you need a PS5 console and wifi to use it, otherwise the portal is useless.
Only downside if this is for a household with multiple ps accounts, it will be a negative. The portal can only support one account, and won’t let you switch accounts on it.
