So I bought this remote planning that the PS5 would be Sony's glorious return to being the frontman in video performance. And while they must have learned from the PS4 Pro that having a 4K UHD drive is a must, one of their consoles (like Xbox) doesn't have a drive. On top of that, at the time of writing the PS5 doesn't support Dolby Vision and is an okay player at that. I have the 2019 Nvidia Shield Pro, so the inclusion of the Disney Plus, Netflix and other streaming buttons while welcome aren't necessary for me, though others may enjoy them. So as a media player the PS5 is great, as a 4K UHD blu-ray player it's okay, and as a game system it's next-gen. I just wish Sony had let their entertainment division have it in the oven a little bit longer making the remote an even more worthwhile investment. But as it stands it's okay, but if you're a movieophile you may want to just skip this remote for now and buy a separate player for your UHD discs.

I had some money left so I figured what could i buy for my ps5. This remote is actually super useful. Only if you are using your playstation as a media console too. No need to use the controller or take it around.

Got this for my bf to go with his ps5 so he wouldn’t have to keep changing hdmi cords just to watch tv and he loves it it’s very beneficial

Finally an easier way to watch my streaming content via my PS5. Now I do not have to switch between my TV, another streaming device , and my PS5. I can watch all of my favorites via PS5 and run through my services easier via this remote.

I always like convenience and this little thing is very helpful for that. Instead of burning through your controller power to watch media on your PS5 this remote takes care of it all from turning on/off, navigation and shortcuts. Easy to sync up and get the hang of.

This controller is a nice quality of life accessory for any PS5 owners. My controller came with bad batteries so I had to replace them, please change your batteries if your remote becomes unresponsive.

Bought this for my PS5 because I use it as a media device as well. Love the ease of use and the short cut buttons are a nice touch. It is exactly what you would think it is. A simple remote for your PS5 to access your digital media.

To be honest it’s sleek sure, but feels kinda flimsy. I’d like it if it were bigger. It’s better than using the controller - but mine doesn’t want to stay closed. It’s too easy to bump as well and send the PS5 back to the Home Screen.... but if you are using the PS5 as a media hub it definitely beats using the controller!

I purchase this for my Son to use on his PS5 and all his friends inquire where did I buy this remote at so that their Parents can buy them one too.

I purchased this strictly for Disney+ and Netflix. My cable TV provider does not have dedicated buttons on the remote and this makes it easy for my young children - as well as myself - to access and peruse the streaming offerings using my PS5 console. Highly recommend!

Offers a very convenient way to control media on the PS5. Turns on the PS5, opens apps with a single click, and has an IR blaster to turn on your TV/control the volume. Only criticism is that there is not much physical feedback on buttons (some are very flat), and the buttons are not backlit.

Excellent media remote for the PS5. Was very easy to connect and great to use when you don’t want to use the traditional controller for DVDs and other media.

maybe not worth it for everbody but if you have a ps5 in your room and watch tv alot its a MUST. i dont have to have a controller on all the time and so saves battery life

Love it, voice command very nice and being able to use it to wake up both PS5 & TV I’d great. And quick link keys to favorite streaming apps also nice touch. Only thing wish it was back lit

I lovw the PS5 media remote! My girlfriend and I watch everything on my PS5 but she has trouble with the game controller. This media remote allows her to use the PS5 seemlessly!

I use mine when watching movies. It's nice having a dedicated remote instead of using the controller. I definitely recommend if you watch movies on your Playstation too.

This is a great addition to my PS5. I was originally contemplating a Roku, but would require multiple remotes to still operate. With the content the PS5 supports and seamless setup to my TV and sound bar, this has been a well worth investment. Great product!

I love this remote so much. Makes it much easier to navigate the PS5 instead of the controller when watching shows or television.
