Fairly useless, honestly. Your PS5 controller is more useful for most things. This remote is not designed well for disc video playback. It’s more optimized for apps like Netflix. Unless you’re using your PS5 nearly exclusively as a streaming device, you can skip buying this.

Once we figured out to connect it with Bluetooth it works great. I didnt think I needed it, but was glad I received it as a present now that I have it.

Love the remote. Hated that I purchased as a Xmas gift in 12/10/20 and just received it on 1/20/21! I ended up giving this one away since I purchased one from a different retailer that shipped before Xmas! Had I known it was pretty much a preorder I would have never purchased a time sensitive item from BB.

I've bought my husband 1 when the PS5 first came out. Not even a year later I had to buy another one. Not even 6-8 months later he asked for a 3rd I said no. Why is there Corroding around the battery? Sony makes trash products but men still love them. Why?

It's nice Sony made a first party media remote however it falls a bit short. The remote is small and comfortable in hand. It doesn't weight much. It picked up the manufacturer of my TV automatically and was able to control the volume without fuss. For the streaming apps it seems to be a good remote. Essential buttons are there and quick access buttons to popular apps are right on the remote. If however you picked this up to watch Blu-ray Disc then it falls short. There are no next/previous chapter buttons. I thought maybe you held down the fast forward/rewind buttons or the left/right buttons but nope. There isn't a stop button so you have to pull up the control panel by hitting options button then make your way over to control panel and hit enter and then hit the stop button. There also isn't a pop up menu button. Have to do a similar procedure to access this function as to access the stop function. So in summary, it's a pretty decent remote if you are using the streaming apps but falls short for disc based watching.

Since my gaming consoles aIways double as a movie/TV hub I always buy remote controls and this was no exception. I especially like how it has the shortcut keys for the different apps. Would highly recommend for anyone who using their PS5 for double or triple duty.

Good remote, but it is difficult to get use to the on screen menu system that is designed for a PlayStation 5 dualsense controller. Expect it to take a week or two tp master. Build quality is great and when I am watching my physical media I am using a 30 dollar controller instead of a 70 dollar one so it reduces wear and tear.

It is great with only one issue, when you press the power button it doesn’t always turn on. At times it will turn on a couple minutes after pressing the power button. Overall it’s great product.

It's got a good weight and does what you'd want it to do, but after purchasing it... I'm not sure if it's worth $30. It's nice to be able to hit the fast queued buttons at the bottom for Disney+ and Netflix, but it's really not a lot faster or more convenient than using the controller.

Works flawless would recommend it 100%
Definitely helped my game controllers battery life since I don’t have to use them when I am watching my shows on the ps5

Worth buying if you don't want to use your controller while watching blurays and streaming movies. It's a little on the light side weight wise but that's ok. The playstation button on the bottom is worth it alone. Not having to get up and grab a controller to log in is so much better.

Helps address using PlayStation for my movies not just for gaming. Bought PlayStation 5 both watching my dvd movies and playing games they should have this controller come with PlayStation 5
