This comes in handy when watching blurays. You don't really need this, but I'd rather have it than to use the controller, plus I don't want drained controllers if I want to play a game after a movie

Great remote. Looks great and pairs well with the PlayStation visually. The only gripe I have is that there’s no option to skip forward by chapter when watching actual disc movies.

Nice remote, but the back panel for batteries is difficult to click in and out of place. Needlessly "innovative," but not a deal-breaker.

It’s alright sometimes doesn’t connect when ps5 is turned off

This is a game changer if you do not have cable tv.

Handy but the pause/start button doesn’t work. It pauses but won’t restart after, I have to use the game controller. Maybe I need to Google that I’ve set it up correctly.

This was a must as I wanted to use the ps5 primarily for streaming and while i like the remote the buttons can get stuck, also the batteries didnt last so long

Not a great item, just one of convenience. Does the basics, and allows you to run your PS5 controller free. Not the Best Buy at $29.99, wait till it goes on sale.

It feels cheap and I'm disappointed it didn't have more control features or able to customize buttons. But my main reason to get it was so we never accidentally FF or RW shows or movies by accidentally bumping the L2 or R2 triggers.

I have owned the remote controls for the PS3, PS4 and now the PS5. By far the poorest controller is the PS5 controller. Want to turn on subtitles go through the menu want to go forward a chapter or back a chapter, forget it, not going to happen, unless of course you go through the disc menu. Previous remotes from Sony for gaming systems having solid entries with all the controls you could want, and honestly more. This remote was designed to look like it belonged as part of a set to the PS5. But want this remote was not designed to do was provide any function for bluray playing aside from the very, very basic ones.

Necessary? Not really. Worth it? Definitely. Saves your controller battery for when you want to game. Only con, no skip button for when I watch anime on Funimation. Three media remote doesn't have a R1 button. Lol. Personal gripe.

It does exactly what it is supposed to do. I would probably score this higher if it had buttons for apps I used on its shortcut keys. So 4 of those buttons I don't use. But it does pair with my LG tv easily so I can control TV volume with the single remote. What brings the score down more is that the battery plate was nearly impossible to remove to install the batteries (thought it would break had to use so much force.) But it did not break. But then could not put the plate back on easily, and it feels like it is loose, so a zero for the battery cover, but everything else is A ok.
