This review is just for the accessory rear speakers for the Sony HT-A7000 soundbar. If you want greater control of the sound coming from the rear or additional sound from the rear, these speakers do the trick. The great thing about these is that other than the power cord, these are wireless with basically no setup. And when I mean no setup, I mean that I already had the HT-A7000 setup playing music, plugged these in, and within 5 seconds they paired automatically and just started pumping out sound. Done and done. By itself, the HT-A7000 soundbar is phenomenal. It can already reproduce 7.1.2 channels with sound which comes from all around you but if you want to be able to increase the sound level from the rear these are the way to go.

Still trying to figure out why they won’t work properly. Best Buy Total tech said the phrase very tinny when looking at them. Got new ones and still same issue. They are supposed to come back to the house to check it out

I got Sony SARS3S to complete my whole home theater setup, pairing it with my Sony HT-A5000 5.1.2 sound bar and SA-SW3 subwoofer. They're a great set of rear speakers and really complete the whole Sony Home Theater Syrround Sound experience. The only thing I wish is that it had was some mounting brackets included. It's no big deal really because I bought the speakers for the surround sound and easy pairing with my soundbar and I can buy some floating shelves for not much money. Overall I'd say get them if you want a more immersive surround sound experience. I look forward to seeing how good they sound when they release the update for the HT-A5000 and the PS5 3DAudio.

You're reading this it's because you're considering the Sony HTA5000 or HTA700 soundbar for your widescreen tv and you're wondering if you need rear speakers for that immersive effect. Maybe. To be clear, though this review focuses on the Sony SARS3S wireless rear speakers, it's impossible to consider it out of context of the total Sony ecosystem (including soundbar and subwoofer) as they are designed to wirelessly work together. And that is perhaps the strongest reason for these rear speakers, the ecosystem. So as a matter of reference I am comparing the Sony ecosystem ($999 HTA5000 soundbar, $349 SARS3S rears, and SASW3 subwoofer $399) to my current discontinued Sonos system, in particular the (sonos soundbar, originally $899, and two play 3's for sides, $598 total, and Sonos Sub gen 2 $749). UPSIDE: The SARS3S are competent speakers. Easy to place. Attractive. And they work seamlessly with the Sony soundbar amazingly well. They deliver on the flybys though perhaps not with quite the punch of a larger speaker. Let's discuss setup. Plug them in to a power outlet. Hit the power button. Done. Connects to the soundbar wirelessly. It then prompts you to update the software. And don't forget to do a sound optimization in the set up menu. I found that key for my room. DOWNSIDE?: This is a television sound system, meant to be used with a tv, not necessarily for casual music listening. The rears complement the soundbar but for me were the weakest link. That's where the Sonos beats it. I thought even the Sonos Play 1s (equiv price point) were better, had a wider range. It was just hard to get excited by these, though they represent good value. BUT, if you made the decision to buy into the Sony ecosystem, you won't be disappointed. If I had to rank the purchase order, you have to start with the playbar, I found the subwoofer to be a must add for any situation, the rears were good for movies but if you want to skimp, you could skimp here.

The Sony SA-RS3S adds a simple but amazing surround to the Sony HT-A7000 soundbar. It comes ready to pair automatically upon powering on for the first time. However, if you miss the pairing window a single click of a button pairs the speakers. Pairing takes less than 10 seconds. No mounting hardware included but it does include both hanging cutout and standard 1/4” mounting screw hole. The outer construction seems very sturdy with a polymer overly, an added texture, and an aluminum mesh grille covering the front speakers. All-in-all this results in a very nice luxurious rear speaker that fits and looks well on a counter or wall-mounted.

The Sony HT-A5000 Soundbar is quite the machine. I will give a disclosure; I have only used this soundbar with the optional Sony rear speakers and subwoofer. I imagine this soundbar on its own would still sound great. However, with the add on equipment it sounds mind bogglingly incredible. When you consider how simple this system is to setup, how minimalist it is and how well it blends into your room, this is hard to compete with. I am coming from a $700 soundbar with rear speakers and subwoofer as well so it’s a reasonable question to ask: “what does the extra $1200 or so get me?”. Well, to my surprise its basically incomparable. This system is on a whole other level. The sound stage it produces it just unbelievable, you won’t believe it comes from such a small form. The Dolby Atmos feature can be hit or miss depending on your room. My living room is a rectangle with a nice flat ceiling, about 10ft tall. The Atmos feature for me has been a game changer. It seems to depend heavily on the title you are watching too. The good news is most new action/thriller/exciting movie supports it. Also, most streaming services are supporting it as well. It’s kind of like the early days of HD or even 4K. The adopting has been slow, but if you are jumping in now, there’s plenty of titles for you to enjoy. The other good news is that Dolby Atmos is not necessary to enjoy the quality of this system. Even if you are watching a good old fashion movie, its phenomenal. If you are thinking about getting this soundbar, strongly consider adding the rear speakers and the subwoofer. If you already have the soundbar and are reading this review trying to decide whether you should add the rear speakers or sub, then just do it. The system as a whole will transform your experience.

I don’t want to go describing what you can find in the specs for this set. this set is rated 100watts (50wx2), and it definitely has enough sound that’s powerful and neat. It’s very precise to perform the surround effect with its high definition speakers, you will feel the quality once you hear them. If you want to really get the best of your Sony HT-A7000 Soundbar, this set is the perfect companion. Not only will you experience to the fullest the Immersive AE or 360 and the regular surround for 5.1 or 7.1 decoding, but it is a must have if you really want to enjoy Dolby Atmos. On top of that, they match perfectly with the a7000 soundbar, and they are really good looking which is something to keep in consideration if you want to keep the visual harmony of your home The setup is amazingly simple, once you go through the onscreen setup in the A7000, you select "add wireless speakers", and that is it. No brainer. Red light indicates that a speaker is power off or standby mode. Green light indicates that it is power on and connected to the soundbar. By using the Sound Optimization Tool included in the a7000 Setup configuration, the system will adjust automatically the best volume level for your environment. As well as the rest of the team (the A7000 and the subwoofer), these speakers come with Pluggable Power cord. For me it was something that I have been waiting for this for a long time. My wife is an extreme cleaner, mopping and sweeping all the time and every time I have to move the speakers, and it was a headache trying to find the Power outlet to disconnect it and reconnect it back again, now it is easy, just disconnect from the unit the power cord I definitely recommend this set to enhance your Virtual surround sound experience for your A7000 Soundbar.

I have Sony XBR-75X850D 4K TV with Sony AT-5000 soundbar. These rear speakers are paired with the soundbar and the additional Sony wireless SW3 subwoofer. Let me start by saying that I was very impressed by how easy the wireless set up is. I am used to a boxed of stereo system with cables that you must connect directly to the receiver. I know that technology keeps improving but I don’t expect to have it this easy. Once you plug these rear speakers to the wall, the system automatically recognizes it as part of the set up. Of course, this only works if you have Sony A5000 or A7000. But if Sony wants to, I am pretty sure with software update, this speaker can work with their other system as well. The A5000 soundbar is an impressive system by itself but if budget allows, adding rear speakers will greatly improve your viewing experience. By connecting my Apple TV 4K directly to the soundbar, I was able to experience the dolby atmos that Apple TV 4K is capable of outputting

I have these to go along with the A7000 sound bar and they are a wonderful addition to my home theater setup. My first impression was how lightweight they are, very easy to mount on a wall if possible. Once plugged in, they are immediately ready to link with the sound bar, just hit the link button on the back and go through the setup process on the sound bar's tv menu. That's it, took two minutes to do. I have mine about 6 feet behind my sofa. I ran the room optimization tool on the sound bar and put em to the test. They sound amazing watching movies with Dolby Atmos. Clear, crisp and the perfect amount of sound to enhance the room. They are not to my liking for playing music however, but I don't think they are meant for that. I turn off the Immersive AE mode for music which cuts out the rears. If you have a good spot to place them, these are a must add on for the A7000.

I paired this with the HT-A7000 soundbar. Although, I don't believe in having a sound setup without a subwoofer (so get the sub too), I can say that these are worth pairing with the soundbar. SETUP: make sure your soundbar is already on. Plug these little speakers in and they will sync right away. You know it syncs because the little tiny LED lights up green in the front. Truthfully, I had to turn them all the way up to 9 (the maximum level) to hear them. But the sound that comes out of them, is a great rear sound. You can hear it from tv, streaming, and blurays/4ks (with and w/out Dolby Atmos), which is better than my previous rear speakers. I like them. There is not much more to say about them. Definitely, at least, get these rears if you get the soundbar. But go ahead and also get the sub. I recommend these. Peace.

I paired these rears with the A7000 soundbar. These are a perfect match for the tone of the A7000. Using an surround sound test, the transition from speaker to speaker was buttery smooth. I do need to find some speaker stands and rerun the audio set up later. Since Movie theater are a no go for my wife and daughter, this is the next best thing. It's hard reviewing this speakers without mentioning the soundbar since they're made for the A7000, but if you get the soundbar you NEED to get these. While the bar itself does some nice tricks to sound like it's surrounding you, real rears just can't be replicated.

Right out of the box, these rear speakers just feel very well made and they perform that way too.. I like to crank up the sound and really feel my music and really love the immersive sound from this. While the soundbar itself is fine alone, w going to want these rear speakers just to further your sound quality. These are not wired to the soundbar which is great too if you dislike clutter a d wires everywhere. You will be absolutely blown away by the clear crisp surround sound.

I got these rear satellites with the Sony HTA 7000 sound bar and SA SW5 subwoofer. This system has the best sound I have heard from a sound bar system. The way Sony has EQ'd and crossed over this system is amazing. The spatial effects from Atmos and Sony 360 Reality Audio sources is amazing. I am aware of many more rear effects with this system than with my high end traditional 5.1 system or Atmos sound bar system. I love this system. Check out my Sound Bar review for more.

The sound bar really needs the rear speakers for full dynamics of surround sound. These speakers brought it to a new level
