Chose these over the more expensive RS5's
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Look nice with a much smaller footprint and design style that matches the HT7000a (metal mesh grill) unlike the RS5's (round w/ cloth front). These also held a better wireless connection and sounded great despite lacking the extra wattage and upfiring speakers. Didn't need the rechargeable battery and RS3's use regular power cords into the wall rather than the RS5's which have a substantially larger brick plug. Sound quality differences between the two were minimal despite many reviews out there saying the RS5's are substantially better...keep in mind that both really only output surround material in movies and shows occasionally, pretty useless for music and other use cases given limited EQ options on the Sony soundbars (no option of all channel stereo, for example).

True theater sound

I was hesitant to add additional speakers to my. A-3000 Sound bar, but so glad I did. The immersive experience combination created is beyond my expectation. The set up for the speakers was effortless, and I was able to adjust the volume To fit my living room. Thank you, Sony for another great job! Well, done!

I got these during christmas and have enjoyed all the series Ive been on wayyy more. Consider getting them if you just enjoy the best quality sound you can imagine. Plus some action films feel way more intense

Good product for price

Wireless speaker add on for A7000 Soundbar

Adding these really improves the surround of this already Amazing soundbar. The speakers are standard looking but pack a punch. While they are optional I highly recommend them.

Sony SARS3 wireless rear speakers

I have limited ability to actually test the unit as I am waiting for my Sony HTA5000 (5.1.2) to be repaired from Sony as it failed to work on powering up. I am expecting that this unit should work well once I get it paired up with the RMA'd soundbar that has yet to come back to me from November 19, 2021 (now it is Dec. 31, 2021), I will be glad to generate a more detailed addendum when I have a chance to further test.

Essential accessory for HTA7000 soundbar

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Essential accessory for HTA7000 soundbar, if you want you can purchase just the soundbar & if you're not satisfied with the surround effects you can add these speakers later, they're wireless (although they do need to plug into AC outlets) & setup is very easy, keep in mind that Sony is releasing new model surround speakers (SARS5) in spring/summer 2022 that will enable 360 degree spatial sound, but they will cost about $250 more than these.

Good addition to the HT-A5000

These SA-RS3S's really make a difference to the sound quality. Although they do seem quiet at first, even with the rear speakers turned up to max. It does depend on the source audio and whether there is an ample quality sound level on that rear channel. Definitely get these on some stands and at ear level and then run the sound optimizer. Widens the sound field substantially.

However, because of the characteristics of the rear speaker, the sound may be low depending on the playback source. To ensure that you are getting the most out of your HT-A5000, make sure to run Sound Field Optimization so that the soundbar can calibrate its performance to your environment, and that it sounds like it was engineered to be in your room. If there is any room for improvement I would say Sony should have included upward-firing drivers in there to help with the spatial sound on the backside - but honestly they have a very clear sound and still make a huge impact on the surround experience. Very easy to use - just plug them in and they will automatically pair up with your new Sony flagship sound system.

These arent battery powered, they have to be pkugged into an outlet. Not a problem for us, as we knew this and had plugs at the back of our home theater near the ceilings that works perfectly. If you need total wireless, they do have a rechargeable model that pairs with the sound bar.

Sony SARS3S Wireless Rear Speakers

Very easy to set-up and I like the way you can adjust the volume level with the HTA7000 remote. The wireless feature eliminates cord issues and gives you true 7.1 2 surround sound. The sound quality is spectacular. No need for a separate dedicated surround sound amp.

It is nice that the only cord that I have to deal with is the power cord. I wished this speaker could be louder. The volume is already set to the highest level and I think the surround sound could use a few more decibels up.
