Decent rear speakers

I do wish that they produced more sound, it's pretty minimal unless you're watching something with Dolby Atmos. Currently have these hooked up in a smaller areas of the basement and they work fine in the space. If you're looking to be blown away by the audio look elsewhere.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the surround effect. To ensure sound is being output from both the speaker system and the optional rear speakers, press the IMMERSIVE AE to turn on the Immersive Audio Enhancement function, the speaker system upmixes audio signals, and sound is output from all speakers. For this, you may refer to the guidelines below:
• Depending on the combination of the setting of SOUND FIELD and input signal, surround sound processing may not work effectively. The surround effect may be subtle, depending on the program or disc.
• To play multi-channel audio, check the digital audio output setting on the device connected to the speaker system. For details, refer to the operating instructions of the connected device.
You can also set the speaker distance from your listening position and their output level, etc. to obtain the best possible surround sound.

Upgraded my home theater experience

After I saw the great price drop, I went through with the purchase. I am so glad I did. They make the theater experience so much more real. They make the Star Trek movies so much more exhilarating to watch.

Sound amazing!

If you’re just looking for a surround sound system for your tv and don’t want to deal with wires or a wireless box like on Samsung and LG then these are the ones to buy! Paired with my hta5000, sw3 and 65A80J I have my own movie theater! Definitely worth saving the money for these over Sonos and Bose. I was a ale to hear a live movie and song demo in store with these and just wow!

Save your money - buy next size up

Does have separate volume control but not enough of an addition to make difference when watching anything other than movies. Still nice size - disappears. Set-up very easy with sub and does create spacial volume to room.

Subtle bur useful

Actually are quite subtle on sound power, they give you the spatial audio and for that, they work perfect.

Completed the HT-A soundbar with rear surrounds

No disconnects or compatibility issues over the past 2 weeks. I put the speakers on Sanus stands (EFSATB) and worked well other than the power cable being outside of the stand or replacing the plug to fish the power through the stand. Looking forward to the imminent Sony Atmos rear surrounds but these met my immediate needs to expand the Sony HT-A series soundbar with surrounds.
