Great lens for my Sony A6300 Mirrorless Camera.....after having such a wide variety of lens for my previous cameras, it was time for me to decide on just a couple lenses.....QUALITY lenses. This 55mm Zeiss lens did not disappoint during my 2 weeks in Europe.

This lens is one of the best lens you can get for the Sony E-Mount. I would recommend this as your first lens. On the full frame A7R2, its one of the sharpest lens. It is my go to lens if I want sharp picture with nice bokeh. I actually use this lens more than my Zeiss 35mm/f2.8 as my walk around. On an APS-C camera you will need to consider the 1.5X crop factor.

Purchased the FE 55mm F1.8 Carl Zeiss lens for my Sony a6000. The lens lives up to its Carl Zeiss reputation. It's extremely sharp, I used it for my nieces wedding and was well pleased with the results I got.

This is my primary lens. The pictures taken are in a world of their own. DOF is spot on and its very quick. I love it compared to the kit lens and 35mm FE lens I have. I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone

Killer quality, great for low light, street photog

Moved from the Sony 50mm 1.8 this and let me tell you, worth the money. Colors are vivid and this thing is sharp all over! Even in the corners! The focus ring is smooth as butter and I guess the only complaint if there is one is that is fly by wire for focusing (i.e the camera does all the mechanical work).

I looked around and read a lot of reviews and specs about all the 50mm lenses available to e-mount users. This had the best feedback and all I can do is agree. It's an awesome little lens that takes up little space and produces great images!

If you only buy one lens for you A7RII make sure this is the one because it is absolutely amazing! By far the best all around lens I have ever owned on every level.

I got this lens for video and its very nice. The autofocus works like a charm, l love it .

This lens paired with the Sony A7ii is phenomenal. Images are crisp and clear. Auto Focusing is super quiet and there is no play when manual focusing. This is an awesome "all around" lens.

I've been eyeing this lens for a minute now and when it finally went on sale again, I couldn't resist. Best Buy priced matched and SASS! I made it happen. This lens is crazy crisp and is best used when set to manual to capture the right pic. I use it mostly for street/city pics.

A bit pricey but well worth it. Not as good as Gmaster but way better than your average nifty 50.

If you have a full-frame, your camera body DESERVES a lens like this. Every cinematographer/photographer should own a nifty-fifty like this.

Prime lenses are the way to go if you want quality photos! This lens especially has a certain vibe. The images have that 3D pop when shot wide open and the lens is not very big at all. Great option for the Sony alpha camera line!

This lens is laser sharp. Photos are amazing from this piece of glass. But the video quality is ridiculously sharp. This should be your only 50mm lens. Anything else would be uncivilized .
