The grip on this case really helps it feel safer in your hand, but isnt a soft rubber like material that it can’t slide into your pocket like some other grip cases. The raised bezel is just enough to prevent the face of the phone from landing on a flat surface, but not so much that it makes the phone feel gawdy thick. The phone feels well protected and with the snug fit it’s not going to pop out like some cheap cases do. It says it is rated for 10ft, but I didn’t test that theory, just in case. It’s also still thin enough to still work with wireless charging.

The Speck Presidio Grip case for the iPhone X provides an easy to apply cover with a scientifically engineered design for drop protection. This single piece, slip on cover eliminates the hassle of many multi-piece protective cases. A raised bezel around the facing edge helps to protect the screen without covering up the screen or preventing screen edge finger actions. The ridged texture of the case provides an easy to grip, non-slip surface. The description for the case touts a double layered molded covering which provides extra protection against breakage from ten foot drops onto the corner and edge “crash zones” of the phone. The extended side buttons are easy to find by touch and allow control of the phone without any resistance. The openings for the camera, light, speakers and adapter are not restrictive. Overall, I am pleased with the simple design and feel of this case.

This style reminds me some of UAG cases I've used previously on Samsung phones for work, but cost about $20 less and is just as good, if not better! Design offers great protection and the texture of the grip really helps, esp if you are biking or active outside. It doesn't collect lint or get snagged on anything. Easy access to the charge port, no issues w/ wireless. Comes w/ a lifetime warranty also - which most every other brand doesn't offer, or may only offers on their flagship/premium styles. Bottom line: This grip case is excellent!

This is a decent thin case that DOES support wireless charging (that's it down there on my fast-charge unit lighting up the charging indicator--woo hoo!). It has some optimistically rated drop protection (10 feet??? Let's hope so, but my phone is typically just 4-5 feet from the floor a most!) and adds some extra sensory "grippy lines" around the back and along the sides to provide a reassuring, but definitely not "iPhone smooth," feel in the hand. Tolerance around the bottom speakers are tight--there doesn't appear to be more space than necessary which should hopefully cut down on excess dirt and dust accumulation. On the other hand, spacing around the lightning connector seems large enough to accommodate a larger-than-OEM shell and/or charging dock connector--probably a good thing for those days when I need to borrow someone else's 3rd party cable when I'm on the go. The opening around the mute switch does seem quite a bit larger than necessary, but for some that might actually be a good thing because you CAN get a good sized fingertip in there without having to also pry the switch loose with a fingernail. The rubberized coverings over the volume buttons and power switches leave the controls responsive and easy to activate--not so with a few other similarly designed thin cases I've used. There are a few areas that bear mentioning, especially if this is your first foray into a thin case after using something more substantial like an Otterbox or LifeProof case. First, the raised bezel design around the screen (and camera BTW) provides for screen isolation, but not really screen protection--it only keeps the screen from impacting directly with a flat surface if you drop it face-down. You may therefore want to invest in a tempered glass screen protector to retain that minimalist look while still getting some scratch and/or crack protection that the case simply cannot provide. Second, the case's design is minimal with what seems like industry standard impact protection for a thin case: a polycarb body with some rubberized/specialized innards for impact protection. The Presidio goes a bit further by adding raised lines of slightly softer-touch material on the outside for grip assurance, and four short rubberized strips on the corners for table drops and corner impact protection. Now, I'm pretty sure the grippy lines are not extruded from the harder shell, but are actually separate strips of material glued to the case. I have seen complaints in the past for similarly designed products (even Speck's own) where such grip lines start to separate from the shell. Mine currently seem rock solid, but only time will tell if the adhesive can hold up to constant trips in and out of my hands. Finally, the polycarb shell does not extend around the cutouts for the volume and power buttons or the lightning port; instead, there's a rubberized insert fused to a U-shaped opening in the harder shell that provides for both shape and coverage. Over time, I have found this design prone to warping at those locations because the polycarb shell isn't providing a stiffener for those short segments of the bezel cutaway...these are also areas more prone to dust accumulation because the hard shell isn't exerting as much pressure in those areas to keep the bezel clamped down to the screen. All told, these are [likely] minor observations/issues and, again, are pretty typical of other thin/minimal case designs like this one so I'm not really knocking the Presidio for its design. And while I can't attest to how well it protects against a 10-foot drop, my phone was perfectly fine after a 4-foot drop from my kitchen counter last night. But...there's not really a lot new here, and for the few issues noted above that COULD grow to be a problem (especially if the grippy lines actually are glued down, but eventually start to pull away from the case over time), I would have a hard time recommending someone sink their money into a full-priced offering given the wealth of me-too alternatives out there at similar to lower prices. Still, the Presidio is definitely a solid choice for a thin case if you can snag it on sale.

Speck - Presidio Grip Case provide sure grip while on the iPhone X and it seems to make the screen look bigger. The case sits well in my hand and isn't overly bulky. The rubber on the sides and back keep the phone from slipping out of my hand or pocket. The design on the back is not obtrusive. The only issue is that lint in your pocket sticks to the case, but that not a big deal.

Review of the iPhone case Speck- Presidio Grip Case for Apple X and XS. I have been given the case for the XS. I know these types of products are very personal and I will attempt to let you know why I gave this 5-star review. For me having a rugged case is my number one priority. Having said that I don’t like the very bulky cases on the market that makes your phone look like a brick. This case is rugged yet not bulky (see Photos below). Secondly, I wanted a case that has a grip to it. I absolutely don’t like a phone case to be slippery to the touch. This case allows you to grip it properly and feels great in your hands. So Rugged, sleek and very nice designed so make it feel as if it’s a new phone. Really love the look feel of this case. It is rated for a 10-foot drop and I think 99% of the public is covered with this one.

I actually had a blue colored version of this case and I love them. The black one is obviously the same and is just as high quality. I feel as though the grip is very sufficient and it never feels as it could slip out of my hands. Great case and great protection for your phone. High quality iPhone XS or X case. I highly recommend this case over others based on quality and the grip but slim factor.

It’s a tight fitting cover that is not as bulky as other models. Probably not as high impact resistance as other models. However the ridges on the back help keep a grip on your phone.

Happy with the case. I like the colors. Fits snug and has a good grip. IPhoneX cases are hard to find. It took a little longer to get here but I understand.

I had a Speck cover on my previous phone and was so totally pleased with it that I wanted same thing on my new phone. It provided adequate protection for my old phone plus I like the no slide grips when you lay it down on a smooth surface. Easy to hold and styling looks.

I like this case, it fits the IPhone XS well and has nice grips so it does not slip. I wasn’t sure about the ribbed grips at first but now find them good. I got it on Black Friday so the price was really good.

Good protection, love the grip on the side. Would recommend this if you don’t want to get the other expensive cases. Have dropped it a couple times and nothing happened to phone.

This case is nice cause it’s got a little grip to it, doesn’t slide around the car dashboard or the table. I like this cause it was as slim as I could find, I already have a apple battery case when I need it so I was looking for something slim, this fits the bill. Would recommend.

Functional and durable! The case doesn’t have that cheap plastic feel. I have a lot of confidence in this dual layer shock resistant case.

The case affords added protection against accidental drops. It is also textured for added grip. I liked the case so much I bought a second one.

Great case if you want protection but not the bulk of a Life Proof or Otterbox. Slim design that cushions impacts.
