After updating the software, they simply stopped connecting and wouldn’t hold a charge. I was expecting more after paying that price.

Sound quality all around was terrible. One side was louder than other. Constant popping and crackling audio. Terrible quality microphone. The sound itself was muffled and flat sounding.

Not that good. If the static wasn’t there then it would be great. Blutooth works nice but the dongle makes it static bad! I thought I fixed it but it started again and now I’m out of my return date.

Too much noise for this price. The noise floor even without the mic attached it way to much it competes with the audio, the eq mixer and leveler doesn't fix it.

Broke the 15th day I had it. Not worth the buy. You’re better off getting a stand-alone mic and then getting yourself an actual headset than this product.

I was a huge SteelSeries fan. This particular set died on me faster than any other electronic I have owned. Great while it lasted but not worthy of stars.

IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THESE HEADSETS BEWARE
THE HEADSETS FORCES YOU TO USE SONAR IF YOU WOULD LIKE THE CHATMIX SOFTWARE TO WORK IN ANY CAPACITY. YOU CANNOT USE CHAT MIX WITHOUT SONAR.
WHILE SONAR IS NICE IT LACKS A LOT OF THE POWERFUL FLEXIBILITY OF OTHER AUDIO SOFTWARE.
TL;DR : SONAR IS NICE BUT INFLEXIBLE, THIS HEADSET IS ONLY NICE IF YOU USE SONAR.

Sound quality is great. Unfortunately, it does not want to switch from 2.4ghz microphone to Bluetooth if I am connecting to a FaceTime audio call or messenger call. The whole reason I purchased was so my son could game on his laptop and use his iPad for party chat.

This will be my first SteelSeries gaming product, so I was eager to use and compare them to other gaming gear brands that I am more familiar with. After a few days of testing, I can say without reservation that the Arctis Nova 7 Wireless Gaming Headset sounds excellent! They sound as good or better than any of the gaming headphones I have used over the years. But in one important area, they are actually an industry leader! Read further and I will explain.
So what impressed me the most is the simultaneous connection capability. Multipoint connectivity is somewhat widespread, but none that I have used so far do it as well as the Arctis Nova 7. SteelSeries has really nailed it here. What sets them apart is that a Bluetooth connection can be established and used at the same time as the USB receiver. What that means is that you can be gaming or watching videos on your laptop via the USB receiver, and be connected to your phone via Bluetooth. So if you receive a phone call or text the sound is received automatically. I find this method to be superior to Bluetooth multipoint because of the inherent stability of the RF USB connection. Some other products also require that you manually flip a switch or hit a button to swap devices, but this product does it seamlessly.
Since I have multiple laptops and primarily use a hub with multiple monitors, I especially like using the USB-C receiver which I insert into the hub. This allows me to easily swap out my laptops and be instantly connected with these headphones. If you are going to use them with a compact laptop, you might have to use it with a hub or connect by Bluetooth because some smaller laptops only have one or 2 USB-C ports, one of which needs to be reserved for charging. This is not a problem for me because I always travel with a portable hub. But if your laptop has 2 or more USB-C ports then this will likely not be a factor. Included is a USB-C to USB-A adapter.
The sound quality of these headphones is outstanding! They produce powerful, full range sound with apparent ease. The high quality drivers really make a difference! Bass is tight and defined and can be adjusted by using the EQ in the App. The App is nicely designed and makes customizing the headphones easy. All but the most demanding of audiophiles will be pleased with how good they sound.
The battery life is rated at up to 38 hours. This seems to be quite accurate because after 3 days of heavy use, the battery read as barely reduced.
These headphones are not active noise canceling, but the size of the cups create a seal that provides a lot of passive noise cancelation.
Another thing I really like about them is that they do not look like gaming headsets. The solid black color makes them look like a pair of traditional high-end headphones. I hope more gaming companies start doing this, because not everyone wants headphones that look colorfully loud. The retractable boom microphone also helps make them look like a regular pair of headphones.
The build quality is excellent. I can usually tell instantly the first time I pick headphones up whether they are cheap. These headphones feel solid and well constructed. They are quite comfortable and I had no problem using them for hours at a time.
The retractable boom microphone deserves an honorable mention because of how well it works. An external microphone will always work better than an internal microphone so I use it not only for gaming but on phone calls. The people I have spoken to have commented that the sound is significantly improved when it is extended. When I don’t need it, it is easily pushed in.
I truly did not know what to expect from SteelSeries, but after using the Arctis Nova 7 headset I am thoroughly impressed. They look good and sound great. But what sets them apart is the very best multi device connection method I have ever used. In this area they completely nailed it!

Easily the best headset I’ve ever had. GG software is super easy to use with a variety of premade EQ settings. Mic sounds clear. The sound quality for what I use it for (lot of gaming and light music) is exceptional. Good bass. I’ve played for long (8+ hour sessions) and it sits very comfortably. I’ve read that the little strap starts to sag a bit, but I’ve used it almost everyday for over a year and still fits nice and snug. The little chat mix scroll wheel on the side is a game changer if you frequently play with people in chat. Instead of fiddling with the sound settings to hear both your friends and the game you can use that to set it right where it suits you. I use it with my ps5 as well. Although there isn’t any EQ settings through console it still sounds great. Highly recommend
