The best gaming headset I could find. The software is a bit tricky/complicated, but not too bad. You'll definitely need to make adjustments out of the box. The complaints I've read are almost all user error. You can fix them in the software. I have a large head. Hat size ~8 1/4. They were a bit too snug out of the box. Not nearly as bad as most, though. That issue is also fixable. If you carely stress the metal band at the top backwards, it will eventually loosen up a bit. I can't tell these are on my head anymore. I also upgraded the ear cups, as recommended by many online reviewers. They were comfortable enough out of the box, but with the upgraded cups and the band bend trick... They're perfect. Having the supplied spare battery is a big win. The input out on the controller is a plus. I have my speakers connected directly to this and never have to change audio inputs.

Overall this is a fantastic headset. I’ve owned the Astro A50 and those sound great and are comfortable And come with a base to set the headset in. This headset beats out the Astro A50 by a hair AND has an extra battery to swap out so you don’t have to recharge. The only downside is not having a stand or base. The headset makes up for it and comfortability sound quality being able to change the battery out and overall solid style.

Good multisource headset with fixable problems

    Posted .

Headset is a straight upgrade in quality over the previous Arctis Pro. As someone who uses my headset for many different devices, it's nice that it works with all of them. The sound is good and microphone quality is what you would expect from a wireless headset. The battery life is phenomenal and lasts me about 20+ hrs. But if that's still not enough the quick swap batteries take only a few seconds to switch. However, the headset is best used through SteelSeries' Sonar software. Without it, EQ options and customization is limited. A large annoyance is the ANC speaker in the ear piece protrudes far enough to hurt after a while. This was solved with custom ear pads but, I feel this should not be necessary for a 350$ headset. Pictures included show the piece im talking about and the stock width (detatched one) vs the new earpieces. The last disappointment is the connectors between the headband and earpieces are plastic again which will be the first piece to break after wear and tear. Pros - battery life - sound quality - multisource audio Cons - nub in earpiece protrudes - expensive - plastic earpiece connectors return Quirks - loss of optical audio input may affect setups - sonar, while nice, does not affect the xbox input - head band has limited adjustments and may be small for those with large hair

This headset is so cool. Great sound quality. You can adjust custom sound preset at the fly without having to use your computer to change settings like other brands. You can connect to bluetooth so you can hear game audio and talk on the phone at the same time. Comes with two batteries to keep you gaming. It also has a headphone jack which i love to use with my asus rog ally. Mic is so good you can whisper if you change sensitivity settings so you can game at night and your teammates hear you loud and clear. My friend asked me what headset i had because i could hear foot steps and on his headset he couldn’t. He immediately went and bought the same headset i have. Take your competitive gaming to new heights with this headset.

The Arctis Nova Pro stands out as a versatile and feature-rich headset, offering an exceptional gaming experience across multiple platforms. One of its standout features, which I particularly appreciate, is its seamless connectivity with both PC and PS5 consoles which is what I have setup As a gamer who frequently switches between gaming on PC and PS5, the ability to connect the Arctis Nova Pro effortlessly to both platforms is a game-changer. The headset's compatibility ensures that I can enjoy high-quality audio and clear communication regardless of the gaming platform I choose. Setting up the Arctis Nova Pro with my PC and PS5 was incredibly straightforward with USB c connection and pairing to my phone was just as easy. I can fine tune the system with ease using the SteelSeries engine app on my PC and it transfers to the PS5. Furthermore, the headset's comfort and durability make extended gaming sessions a breeze, allowing me to stay focused and engaged without discomfort or fatigue. Overall, the Arctis Nova Pro impresses with its seamless connectivity, delivering exceptional audio performance across both PC and PS5 platforms. If you're looking for a gaming headset that offers versatility and top-notch sound quality, the Arctis Nova Pro is undoubtedly worth considering. Pros: Seamless connectivity with both PC and PS5. Intuitive setup process. High-quality audio and clear communication. Comfortable and durable design for extended gaming sessions. Cons: Must get Xbox specific version if you plan to connect with Xbox. In this case, I dont but its a gripe I have on microsoft's end. In conclusion, the Arctis Nova Pro excels as a gaming headset, particularly for gamers who frequently switch between PC and PS5 gaming. Its seamless connectivity and impressive audio performance make it a standout choice for discerning gamers seeking a versatile and reliable headset.

I bought these headphones to replace my aging Sony 1000XM4's. My XM4's are having a hard time with my laptops Intel Wifi 6E AX210 cards Bluetooth cutting out every now and then which was never an issue with the Previous laptop, but I also wanted to get away from the BT connection and try a dedicated transmitter. I can say these go a further distance wirelessly and through more walls than my XM4's, but the ANC is not nearly was powerful. These headphones would greatly benefit from aftermarket ear pads. Im hoping someone like Dekoni makes some super soft leather pads to replace the stock on these as pressing the OEM pads slightly against your ears when worn greatly improves the ANC by isolating the ears more. Overall I have tried to get these to sound similar to the XM4's and have come close, but they arent quite as good. They are close, but the XM4's I feel like have slightly more range of sound at both the high end and low (this is using the SONAR software on PC to adjust). If I want to listen to music, I find myself switching back to my XM4's. If I had to do it again, I probably would have tried the XM5's. The pod with the digital read out is unique and the temps/usage for GPU/CPU are a nice touch when gaming, but the display being black and white loses its appeal after a few mins. Build quality is sturdy, but the circle caps are being held on via magnets. The one side that houses the battery, seems like its barely being held in place, but it hasnt fallen off yet. The battery charger in the pod base is also a little odd. You press it in and down somewhat like an NES game cartridge. This initially threw me because it kept popping out and wouldnt stay in to charge. But pressing it down once in, it stays.

After a bunch of research and Youtube videos I decided on this headset. I picked it up for about $270 on sale. I picked this one because it works with the Xbox and the PS5 by just plugging it in, no setup necessary just plug and play. The PS5 version only works with it and PC or Switch while this set works with them all. The sound quality is top notch with Dolby Atmos or DTSX. Its light and comfortable, battery life is great and even comes with another battery so you can hot swap without even turning them off. Cant recommend enough.

The quality of these headphones is far greater than I expected. The earpieces are soft and comfortable to wear for extended periods of time without being too hot. The best part is that it comes with 2 batteries so that you can charge one while the other is being used. The sonar software also provides a ton of customization for sound profiles.

I came from the Corsair virtuoso wireless headset. I bought two of those when the first pair broke. I was in need of a new pair after some years of heavy use and tried out these. Initially I hated them but once I found a sound profile I liked because I love surround sound headsets with good surround. I hate/loathe special audio and dts. I found a profile after watching some videos that sounded great with some minor tweaks. Now I can’t imagine going to anything else. Especially the swappable battery is so nice. No more feeling tethered even with wireless. Mic is not as good as the Corsair but it’s more than capable. If you want to get into streaming or something else then you can get a better mic. That is the only down side.

To me, the SteelSeries - Arctis Nova Pro Wireless Multi-Gaming Headset exemplifies perfection, seamlessly blending exceptional performance, comfort, sound quality, and a reliably stable connection. Its meticulously crafted design ensures enduring comfort, even during prolonged gaming sessions. I purchased this headset for my Xbox Series X as a decision to replace two problematic headsets, caused by sound and connection issues. Upon setting up this Steel Series, the overall experience surpassed my expectations. The swappable battery feature is well-thought-out for uninterrupted use, eliminating the need to constantly recharge. The premium ergonomic design and build quality justify its price point. Furthermore, the array of connectivity options allows seamless integration with multiple devices, such as Xbox and PC, simultaneously, with the added convenience of Bluetooth for smartphone use. However, I primarily use it for gaming on my Xbox, where its incredible sound quality enhances my gaming experience to new heights.

    A Banger!

An absolute banger of a headset! I love the design and sleekness of the design. Headsets nowadays seem too clunky and flashy looking but this headset is clean and sleek. The pleather ear cuffs are great and comfortable but aren't as tough as I would like. They're almost too soft. The removable battery pack is great because you can take out the dead one and add the charged one in no time. The second battery pack actually stores and charges in the audio dock which is awesome. I can listen to XBOX audio and computer audio at the same time which is ana amazing feature and you have to use the SONAR technology in the SteelSeries program to get the most out of these headphones. The headphones out of the box sound great but when you play around with the SONAR settings and find the perfect sound for you and the task you are listening to, it is game changing. Now for my CONS which are very minimal other than one. A con is obviously the price. They are typically listed at 350 and I think that is just crazy high. I was lucky enough to get them at 250 and I think they are well worth that price. My next con is the retractable mic. This is mainly me being picky but I would prefer one to just flip up and down but I think the goal here is to also have these to carry to the airport, gym, or other places where a mic might look weird to have so this feature allows for the flexibility of both gaming and everyday activities. Lastly and probably the biggest con is the inability to switch between SONAR settings on the doc. I have two settings, gaming and normal computer/music use. As of now, you have to manually go in the SONAR app and switch your settings between the two in my case. It would be awesome to be able to toggle between the two on the docking station instead of having to use the app. Overall a fantastic product and I am glad to have pulled the trigger on these.

Great headset. I have been using for over 2 years now without an issue. I did have to replace one of the batteries but it did last for over a year before failing to charge. They are vey comfortable for multi hour gaming sessions. Good sound quality. Clear mic for game chat and phone calls. I will wear them when cleaning house to listen to books or music via bluetooth frequently. ANC is not as good as my Sony MX4's but in my home it is more than sufficient. Highly recommend

Great headset, I have been buying SteelSeries headsets for a while and I’m constantly impressed by them. The sound quality is excellent and if you ever need ear pads, side plates, or headbands for the headset you can go to their site and buy them for replacing so your headset will always look clean. They come with two batteries so one is always in the gamedac charging while you’re using the other, you’ll never have problems with battery life. And if you want more batteries you can go to their website and buy them.
