Customers recognize the ease of use and the keyboard as significant advantages, frequently praising its user-friendly setup and full keyboard for texting. The phone's size and price also receive positive feedback, although some desire a larger screen. However, a common complaint centers around the battery life, with many users reporting that it does not last a full day.

Its a great phone for a low price. It's was easy to set up and use.
All I was looking for was an inexpensive phone that had a key board that would make texting easier to do. All the other frills the smart phones had I really wouldn't use. Therefore this was the phone for me.

Bought this phone for my mother, great call quality, compact, she stays in touch with all of her relatives. Phone will go days without having to charge it. Great texting phone, my mother knew nothing about phones and now she is more comfortable with such technology.

Great phone for a senior like my husband. It is easy for him to use and its loud enough for him to hear when its in his pocket. The battery doesn't last so long he has to charge it almost every night. We bought it a couple days after Black Friday and it was on sale for $25.00 so it was a really good deal.

Slide out qwerty and basic internet

Just what I wanted! A phone with a slide out qwerty keyboard and basic internet. I have a mini data plan through T-Mobile, and the internet access on my old phone stopped working. I didn't want to have to upgrade to a full data package, so I went looking for a pay-as-you go non-smartphone with a full slide out qwerty, a SIM card slot and T-Mobile comparability. This met all my must haves! Plus, it was on sale for 50% off! The only drawback I've found so far is that the battery only lasts an average of a day (depending on usage- I typically text a lot, check Facebook once a day on my phone, and talk for a total of 1 hour over the course of the day), compared to my old phone, which lasted 3 days. The camera is decent, but nothing compared to a smartphone. I haven't played around with all of its features, but so far, I'm happy with my little phone.

Best of the Basic Options for Tmobile

If you believe that smart phones are a smart way for wireless communication companies to separate their customers from their money, then this is the phone for you. Basic phones have deliberately been made less appealing to bait customers for a usually dumb purchase of an overly expensive smart phone. Of the lean selection of basic phones for the Tmobile carrier, this is the best of the few. It slides open to reveal a now-rare qwerty texting keyboard, making for quick texting. This phone will also go online, but you can expect limited memory messages. But if you just need a phone for texting, talking and receiving calls, then this sleek model is worth considering. It is cheap, so even if you lose or break it you can "self insure" and purchase another one.

I had to return/exchange one, because the buttons were half bad on some keys and wouldn't always input what I pressed. Otherwise, it's a solid phone that's easy to use. It has all the necessary features for a basic phone, better than some very inexpensive phones I've had before. Battery life is not extremely long.

It has a bunch of useful features that are easy and simple to use. The clarity and volume are good. I adjusted the volume by tapping a bar on the side of the phone very practical. It's a stylish and reasonably-priced. Works great, easy setup, and battery lasts.

I wanted an inexpensive phone for a backup so I got this when it was on sale. I chose this over the t199 because I figured it would be easier to text with the slide out keyboard. The keyboard turns out to be a mixed blessing - because it makes the phone thicker and heavier. Having used Android virtual touch and Blackberry keyboards, I found this keyboard cumbersome to use. I guess my thumbs are too fat.
If you are going to pay full price for this phone, then pay a little extra to get something like the OneTouch Evolve when it goes on sale. In hindsight, I probably should have waited for the t199 to go on sale.
Don't get me wrong - this is a feature packed phone for the price. I was disappointed because I had unrealistic expectations. My teenage daughter basically summed it up like this "I USED to want a phone like that".

Adequate for part time use

This phone is adequate for part time use and emergency calls as the battery has a very short life and needs to be charged constantly. The screen resolution of the preset option is poor, and the memory is limited. Considering the very affordable price, this phone will do what it is suppose to do on a pre-pay plan for someone on a tight budget or a low income.

Got this phone for my mom for Christmas. She is not really tech saavy and owned a flip phone prior to this so it was an upgrade for her. The phone has pretty good reception and is easy to set up. She is almost 70 and was able to figure out how to use the phone pretty quickly. Internet is not so great, but she won't be using that feature so it was perfect for her.

I bought this phone as a replacement for the smartphone that I broke. For the price, it's not bad. Good battery life, nice slider phone and physical keyboard is not something you see often anymore. Camera is expected to be low level so I'm not concerned about it and call quality is good.

I needed a new phone and since I primarily text thought this would be a good choice. I was right, it has the full slide out keyboard that is easy to use and goes with tmobile plan I already have so it was easy to switch phones. I also love the great price on this phone. Perfect for me.

My "vintage" snub antennae cell phone finally had problems and this phone was a great replacement for my T-Mobile 10c/minute plan. I like the physical key board and the price can not be beat.

If you are looking to purchase an inexpensive phone that has the basics, such as call, text, camera, etc. and you desire some added benefits like radio, flashlight, calculator, etc., this is the item. My husband wanted something easy to use without tons of bells and whistles. It fit his needs perfectly. It would also make a great phone for a child: minimal cost and contains everything a kid would need.

What I loved the most about the T-Mobile Prepaid - Alcatel Sparq II No-Contract Mobile Phone that came in my favorite color which is black is that the size was just right for my hands and the slide out keyboard was perfect for my fingers to text!
