Allows you extra ports or connections to alternative device plugs! I have one and just purchased this for my son as he leaves for college.

I guess it's inevitable when they're trying to make them as thing as possible. However, this USB-C Hub solves all issues. It provides 4 stable, reliable, and fast connection ports.

The USB C plug doesn't seem to fit just right and takes some effort to get it to plug in. Once plugged in the Hub seems to be working ok.
