I have 4 external units plugged in to my laptop and the build quality is great. As a plus all the USB ports are 3.0

It definitely solved my problem. Was worth the extra expense since my computer was not that expensive.

The video quality was poor and so I ended up returning. If you don’t plan to use it for video, it works fine.
