    Four days after this TV was installed, it crashed and had to be replaced. Needless to say, I was very annoyed, especially when informed that a replacement would take two weeks. Now that the replacement is installed, I'm very pleased with it. The picture and sound are excellent. I just hope that it keeps running going forward.

    I'm happy with this TV! The picture quality is quite good for a 43 inch screen, and it's nice to have 4K and Dolby Vision at this price and size. I use this exclusively with an Apple TV 4K and my AVR setup, so I can't comment on the sound quality or software. But for sheer image quality, this is a great buy. Sometimes you can't go with a larger TV, and this is a nice choice.

    I went to try to buy a Sony, but I am a senior on a budget. I don't need a fancy tv, but i looked at both the TCL and Sony 43" and compared the two using the Best Buy comparison app and they both were similarly very close. Both pictures looked good to me, but the TCL was half the price.

    This TV is very nice! I like this one better than Sony Google TV's. Unlike Sony Google TV, This TV will let me use Motion Smoothing on Apps. The Motion Smoothing is a little jumpy but I still love this TV. Now I can use my apps instead of using firestick.

    4K content looks great. Black Ops 6 on the PS5 looked very crisp. Bright colors. Sound not tested as I have SPDIF out to my receiver. Will stick with TCL as my brand

  • Good, but has some issues.

    It works well, but the built-in sound isn’t great (which doesn’t bother me, as I use headphones), the remote is overly simplistic (lacks a pause, play, rewind, fast forward button), and one of every five times I turn it on, the picture gets all buggy. It goes away when I unplug and replug it, BUT I’VE HAD IT FOR FOUR DAYS!!!! That doesn’t bode well.

    I really like the tv and was so stoked about the color and all the apps I could add. Unfortunately, I noticed that there’s a green tint that appears when I am watching Dolby vision shows. It sometimes gets progressively worse or sometimes it will fix itself. I then reset it (saw that people have the same issue with this brand and this is what they did) and that fixed it…temporarily. I’ve had the tv for less than a week and have had to redo this 3 times already. I’m pretty disappointed and now I have to drive approximately 45 minutes to return it. Save yourself the headache…

    I bought the 43 inch tcl forvmy family room.It was just ok but I was never happy with the sound quality.I had it for two years and the screen went black.I called TCL and they walked me through a reset but finally agreed that it died.I expected a television to last more than two years! I do have a 32 inch in my bedroom which has lasted quite awhile.I will not buy a tcl again based on the sound quality and the lifespan!

This particular TV was launched less than 1 year ago, so it is difficult to decipher what TV you may have. Our TVs do come with a 1-year manufacturer's warranty for those rare times that defects occur. In cases like this, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty company. Furthermore, if you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies also provide additional coverage.     I had this tcl for only a year and it went out. I never had a TV go out, and I had other TVs that last more than five years I will not recommend don’t buy.
