We needed a TV for a guest bedroom. For those on a budget, this is a fantastic TV that you can purchase for less than $250, I read the online views, which proved to be correct. This TV is bright, and provides a beautiful 4k picture. TCL gives you so much more for your money than some of the other competing brands.

Quick and easy setup. Picture looks really good. Perfect for a bedroom TV. Google interface has all the apps I use. Good mid-level TV I use an add-on sound system, so can't say what the speakers are like.

After months of searching, I am glad I found a 4K QLED with a 120 hz refresh rate for such a low price. Picture and color quality are excellent. I watch a lot of basketball and football, so the fast screen refresh rate is important to me. The QLED produces much better color quality and deeper black levels than a typical LED. The side mounted speakers do indeed deliver on the promise of filling the room with sound. My only regret is it doesn’t have the capability to pair with my bluetooth headphones, so I have to plug in a Roku stick in order to pair the tv with my phone for headphone usage.

I absolutely adore this tv! For the price you really are getting something very very worth it. The colors are super vibrant, the ui is easy to use and the movement is nice and smooth. It is as close to a budget OLED as you can get. Unfortunately my kitten knocked mine over and it broke but I loved the tv so much I will be saving to buy the same model again hopefully. Love love love this tv :)

Google TV smart platform, perfect for bedrooms or smaller rooms, deep black, beautiful picture, great price. Dislike the built in TCL apps and dedicated TCL button on the remote. I’ve bought several of this model over the past 2 years and all of them have been excellent. 5 stars, definitely worth the money. Wait for a sale if possible.

Extremely happy with this purchase. I had originally ordered the 50" but it was way too large for our tightly-sized living room. This size works great. My spouse & I have been enjoying more programming together. The picture is quite clear & there's no more waiting around for something to load. This may not be very technical but suffice it to say if you have a small or oddly shaped living room or want a 2nd screen in your bedroom, this model is priced right & performs well.

I was looking for an upgrade for my Dell external monitor for my lap top. Then I discovered this TCL television on a list of best values for tv/monitors. For a comparable size monitor-only would have cost over $1000 more. Literally "best buy" of the year!

Decent tv color settings are a bit wonky on different apps. Color adjustments must be made frequently depending on what you’re watching. Picture is nice and sound is decent. Overall happy with the purchase

Based on the lack of information regarding its use, the incorrect information in the User Guide which isn't discoverable until after you have it set up, and all the adjustments required to get a good picture, I'd give it a 3 star rating. After a week of adjustments and watching a couple of YouTube videos to get help in making those adjustments, the picture is almost there. (I suggest you change the picture mode to Cinema as a starting point.) The built-in speakers are good and plenty loud. The remote control has its good points and bad. (If you want to pause a streaming program, press OK. You won't find that in the User Guide.) It took several scans of the antenna to find all of the local channels. (Two that I got with the 11-year old TV it replaced weren't found until after the fourth scan.) If you want to change OTA TV channels, there's no way to directly input a number. Instead, you have to go through each one between where you are and where you want to go, either by single presses of the arrows or by holding down the arrow key to quickly scroll through. On the bottom section of the remote there are quick select buttons for Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, TCL TV, Apple TV and Pluto. It's much quicker to use these buttons than to go to the Home screen and select the app there. To turn off the TV, you have to press the Power button on the remote, wait a bit and then press OK when asked it you really want to turn it off. Apparently if you don't hold down the OK button long enough, it only goes into standby mode with a black screen. The one good thing about that is the next time you turn it on, it comes on instantly. If you really turned it off, it takes about 25 seconds to fully boot up -- the TCL logo displays for a while, followed by the Google TV logo for a while, and then either the Home screen or where you left it when you turned it off. There's a setting for that. There are a lot of free programs built in (just be ready for all the ads) and adding apps is very easy. Although I knew before buying it, there is only one USB port and no composite inputs. Would I buy it again? I'm not really sure. It may be that all new TVs have these kinds of problems. For the price I paid (on sale at $130 off), probably. Without the discount, no.

A great TV! This 43" TCL fits the bedroom perfectly. The sound is clear and as loud as we want, the screen colors are bright, and the interface is easy to use. I really liked how efficient the set-up process was, too. I highly recommend this TV!

Excellent picture quality: it works great for gaming. I exchanged it for the same model, just larger, as I discovered the room I was moving into could handle a larger screen. Never purchased a TCL before, always was a Sony or LG person, but I'm so happy with this purchase and the quality and value.

The TCL 43” is my first smart TV. I’m still in the learning curve. I like the speak to search for programs feature. Although the search is limited to the apps downloaded to it. The color and sound qualities are really good. My only complaint is that even after adjusting the audio sync setting, some dialogue and lip movements are out of sync. That is so distracting. But, overall I am happy with my purchase.

Bought this for a treadmill tv and it has been great. Very surprised by the picture quality for the price. Would highly recommend

I wanted a small 4K TV that ran Google for my office. I have high end OLED and Mini LED TV's in larger rooms. This isn't a disappointment when I'm stuck in my office. This TV is a great deal for the picture quality and sounds better than my more expensive TV's. An AVR and good speakers are a must in my main entertainment room, this TV is great for smaller rooms where a sound system is not possible.

Fantastic tv, we own multiple tcls now. We used to be Sony people. Great value, great TV, excellent quality. We won't be going back to Sony.
