    TCL is absolute junk

TV was good while it lasted (3 months). Best Buy backed away from fixing this. TCL customer service was absolute trash. 1. Opened a case. 2. Supplied everything they were asking for. 3. TCL closed the case stating that it was returned - its not. 4. Called them back and got the run around again. Save your money and buy a reputable brand with customer service.

    WAIT FOR THE FIRMWARE UPDATES

I thought it was going to be better. With all the improvements TCL claimed to have made with the Halo/blooming controls, dimming improvements, brightness....it's a real downgrade in most ways. The good: better viewing angle, better brightness, better sound, more accurate colors. The negatives.....the rest of them. Blooming is worse, motion is worse, the image is flat because the processing prioritizes brightness instead of making the things that should be bright brighter, and the areas that should be dark are MUCH too bright. This makes the image look absolutely blown out and washed out. The processing looks like they took the chip out of an S4 and put it in the QM7. This set has the goods to be a GREAT television, but wait until the firmware updates come out to buy. It is exceptionally bright, and it looks decent, just not a thousand dollars decent YET.

I bought the TCL QM7K on sale for $599.99 before tax. It was such a steal! Overall experience has been pleasing and easy to set up. Pros: It gets bright, extremely bright IMO. Dark black scenes stay pretty much black. HDR content looks nice, very sharp with colors popping. For built in TV speakers they sound nice. However, it won't beat a soundbar/subwoofer combo. I have my PS5 hooked up on here and I do get 120hz refresh rate depending on which titles you play and gameplay looks fluid. Cons: If you're using just the TV speakers, there some noticeable rattle when the bass hits. WiFi5 is okay, TCL should've went with WiFi6 but I have the TV hardwired. Very minor but if im playing games or watching movie while im talking to other people, Google Voice somehow picks up my voice and disrupt what im doing lol. Not really a big deal but might be for other folks looking into purchasing this TV. Conclusion: If you can get this TV on sale for under $600 it's a good value, perfect for watching/gaming content. Good speakers out of the box. I believe majority of the people who are shopping for a new TV would be pleased with the QM7K.

Beautiful TV that hits way above its weight

Absolutely stunning and beautiful TV. It definitely had a huge 'wow' factor for me when I haven't had that from many other displays. It is tuned for my visual preferences. I kept finding myself staring at it in the showroom floor at my local Best Buy. The only other one that caught my eye in the same way was the S95F which is saying something given the gigantic price difference. BRIGHTNESS: My god. I had to turn it down sometimes, but it's bright and it's amazing. Unfortunately, I believe I had a defective unit when it came to some -insane- blooming. I contacted TCL and they agreed it was probably a per unit issue. Side note: Their customer service is so friendly, happy to answer questions, seem tentative, and makes me really consider sticking with them for my display needs. I returned it, and find myself missing and thinking of this TV often. I am now waiting on a new 65" of this. I was debating on going with last year's QM851G but decided to go with the new tech available on this. I am mainly using these for gaming, and it's not often I am watching/playing things with dark scenes with bright items on the foreground. Overall, so impressed and happy with the value presented from this TV and other TCL TVs I have had. I still have a Q5 Series QLED from a few years ago that is still gorgeous. This is like taking everything good about that TV and multiplying it to levels I didn't think I wanted or needed. Compared to an LG B4 I got after this, I still find myself preferring the highlights and brightness of this TV overall. I also believe future firmware updates and as more people learn about the TV will fix itself over time. If you're questioning whether to get this or the QM851G, can't go wrong with either. Make a budget decision if it comes down to $$. I kept hearing the praises about OLED, but for the budget, and not having to "babysit" this TV...I feel like you honestly can't ask for more. You have a TV that punches far beyond its weight and that speaks a lot for the average user. TCL has closed the boundaries each entry when it comes to OLED-like quality and the distance between them and what was possible on a regular LED TV. Can't say enough nice things about this TV. I'm just so disappointed I loved everything about the TV except for the blooming/bleeding/halo effect that seemed to be plaguing my specific system. Other reviewers didn't seem to have this isolated issue.

I’ll be honest this tv blew me away. I was in the market for simple budget tv in my bedroom and for the price Tcl hit the mark. At any rate coming from a high end oled in my family room I didn’t give this tv much credit before setting it up. Well I was wrong, the picture quality was amazing after tinkering with some settings. Its very bright and the colors pop, along with hdr being incredible! There were times I forgot I was watching a mini led due to blooming not being much of an issue. I guess you should expect decent quality in 2025 but what really shined for me was the gaming. I’ve had led in the past and the only tvs that work really well for me is oled , reason being it’s buttery smooth and once you try it, it ruins any other tv experience! But , this tcl even with mini led tech has very clear fast motion and didn’t leave me feeling like i was missing out. I’m stunned for the price and you really won’t be disappointed if budget is a concern and you don’t want to worry about burn in.

Hard to beat on sale. Blacks are great, brightness is fantastic. Setting up with homekit is useless and errors out which is a known issue across many of TCL's models which has not been fixed for years apparently. The motion clarity is not great but can be turned off. Overall it has some quirks but for the price it is what it is.

this replaced an oled c1 series that lasted me only 2 years because of burnt screen, no more oled screen for me.. this Qm7K has beautiful picture and very close to oled quality. but its brighter than oled screen then i can always adjust and make a perfect picture quality on my liking. the sound is by bang & olufsen which is high quality sound, even on a 40% sound level i love the sound quality, the bass is superved, the highs and mids are perfect combination after i set my equalizer setting. the remote control is simple but functional especially the lighting when dark very useful inthe dark..

Great color, though when viewed from the side, the color is considerably washed out. However, I don't really care about that, as I view this TV almost exclusively from the front, straight on. The picture is also very bright. And the WiFi reception seems to be very very solid.

I was initially blown away by the brightness and sound quality from this tv. The gaming was also great with a high refresh rate and decent input lag. However, I quickly noticed how poor the upscaling was for even 1080p content. 4K content looked amazing, but anything below looked a little blurry and grainy. The motion handling was also a little bad for sports and panning shots.

The picture is bright. Deep blacks. Nice color. Sound is not very loud, must turn volume way up to hear it, although it's pretty good for a TV. Glare is better than our old TV, but still a problem. Previous TV was 42". On low resolution sources the macro-blocking is noticeable (sub-channels on our cable service). Part of this is going to be 70% more picture with no increase in source resolution. All in all, we are pretty satisfied with our purchase. Picture-wise, it is a significant upgrade over our previous TV.

Great TV with beautiful picture. It's not an OLED, but it's still great quality, especially if you like brighter screens. Great for gamers who want a bigger screen as well. The sound isn't as good as it could be, but that's remedied fairly easy with a sound bar or surround sound system.

I read alot of good reviews about this tv and when it went on sale I jumped at the opportunity. I had an older Vizio Qled that started to get dark spots in the picture, so I decided to upgrade. It's not really fair to compare the 5yr old tv to this one even though I paid 300 more for it back then. But i have to say, the picture, colors and lighting on the TCL are extremely better than the Vizio. I'm also newer to streaming and find the TCL is easier to navigate as well. All in all I feel it's comparable to other TV's priced twice as much as this one.

The TCL QD-MiniLED has fantastic image quality with blacks that go completely dark, almost like an OLED, and 4K content looks especially stunning, though HD content doesn’t have the same wow factor. The 120Hz refresh rate is great for gaming and makes Mario Kart World on the Switch 2 look beautiful, and the remote is decent and responsive. My biggest complaint is that many of the default picture modes skew too warm for my taste, so I had to spend time adjusting settings to get a more neutral color tone. The setup process also took way too long—about 15 minutes of going through endless Google prompts before I could even reach the home screen, which made it feel more like setting up a tablet than a TV. Still, once it’s all configured, the performance is excellent, and I recommend registering with TCL for the extra 90-day warranty extension.

Exceeded all exceptions....by a mile! Best Buy screwed up my order for the 2024 LG OLED TV that I ordered in JULY...The scheduled pick up day was August 21. Fast forward to that date and whatta ya know - item is delayed and no answers from 4 different CSR agents at BB. Football season was fast approaching and I had already sold my old tv in the man cave. With some help from ChatGPT I was able to narrow down my choices, research pros and cons of each options and eventually went with this tv.. WOW.. The crisp 4k picture is unreal! Football games look incredible. Thank you to BB for screwing up my order so I could find this amazing TV...for under $600!!
