Okay, the TV itself is great. Fantastic, even. Highly rated by RTINGS which reviews it extensively and also calls it the brightest TV they've ever tested. I can verify that.
I can also verify Best Buy does not stand behind it's 14 day "price guarantee." I paid $1799.99, on September 30th, 2024 and on October 8th, 2024 the price dropped by $473. Exact same television model, the 75 inch version and the exact same SKU. Best Buy refuses to honor it's 14 day price guarantee, stating that delivery and installation is part of a bundle. Bundles aren't covered by the price guarantee, and logically, no one would assume a bundle is only one product. They're frequently advertised as different products such as a TV, sound bar, or any other combination thereof. This "policy" essentially makes their 14 day guarantee useless for any large items. Fortunately, there are ways to deal with this. One is class action, and Best Buy has been successfully sued via class action for similar shenanigans and less than ethical business practices. The other is small claims court. Both are options, and the first one I will use is small claims court, which is not all that difficult if you follow the proper procedures. Sure, go ahead and take my review down, Best Buy, it just adds something else to show the court since I'm adding it to the photos I'm taking in preparation for the case.

My old Tv was a a hdr vizio, which was a good TV 7 years ago. Purchased a Q60D 75". It looked better after changing the calibration settings, for the price was not bad, but it was more like my old tv, but with a good update. We returned it and got the TCL Qm851G 75 inches for a little more, out of the box on movie move, wow... this is what we were looking for, going to a new generation TV. The image is really great. believe me, for the price, this is a great value. I got this more than a week, and I'm looking forward to watching something new every day. The image is just beautiful. Now we all can tell the difference between the new and the old TV.

After reading all kinds of reviews online, I was convinced to go with this instead of the U8M. Holy crap, this seemed like a great TV, too. Super bright, overall good picture quality. However, it TEARS and has very annoying artifacting around text! Especially moving text or other moving content. It is HORRENDOUS. I am upset that I have to haul this massive TV back to Best Buy. It is absolutely getting returned. Garbage. Stay away, it will drive you insane! There is no way to disable this AI nonsense that makes the picture look horrid!

I bought this tv a year ago, a month after revieving it my screen stopped working. Got a replacement pretty quick but still wasnt happy befause the sound is awful, the colors dont look realistic and after another year the same thing just happened. No oicture just sound.The TCL customer service is the worst, absolutely zero help. Just kept telling me that i wasnt covered by warranty anymore. Youre better off watching on your phone.
