    If love to give the Q6 TV five stars but die to the lower brightmess I actually upgraded to the QM7. When the room is dark the Q6 is great. Its really good for gaming, too which was a bit surprising despite reviews talking about it being good for gaming. Hooked up my PC to the 144hz HDMI input and it was butter smooth with no real noticeable increase in input lag using a bluetooth controller.

    I bought this for our office training room thinking it was a smart TV and was disappointed that it was not. BE WARNED you cannot cast from your laptops or desktops wirelessly, you have to use the junk chrome cast. It was my fault for not fully reviewing the TV think it had smart capabilities from 2024 instead got smart capabilities from 2010 it feels like. I don't recommend for any business unless you run a long HDMI like i had to

    A good TV for the price but the clarity of the screen is not as expected. I’m going to try different calibration settings to see if I can get the right setting.

    Regrets

    Where do i start? Purchased the tv on 3/9 and didnt get an installation date until 3/21. It was like waiting for Christmas..... However it was like not getting what you want at Christmas. Of course they call you the day before with an appointment window. We received an appointment window of 1:30-5:30pm. 5:30 came and went an so did much more time. To a point where it was way after 7pm. The crew was professional however as you can imagine they had one more stop so they wanted to get in and out. Since installation we have had nothing but issues. The tv flickers on and off turning black then coming back on with a box in each corner. We have tried all the self help videos but no luck. It switches input by itself why watching tv or playing a video game. The arc input for the surround sound stopped working and this is in the matter of a weeks time. It has been a complete nightmare with not only the tv but the customer service in itself. You would think when you spent this amount of money it would be different. However this has not been the case. Now we wait on the to come out for service which is a week and half. I would truly not recommend the tv nor the service with best buy. It is just completely ridiculous to this point. All i have is an expensive piece of wall art. Please see photos for reference. Yes i was playing call of duty and yes they got me killed. So as you can imagine when it flickers between game play almost 15 times in less than 5 minutes I was not happy

    No Picture, Garbage after one month, no Picture, installed by Best Buy,I am extremely disappointed to be wrongfully accused of “physical damage.” There are only two people in our household, both in our 60s, and the TV has not been mishandled in any way. It is unreasonable to suggest that a professionally mounted TV could damage itself.

    Had the tv for 6 weeks, barely used it. Already has red vertical line on right of screen. I have reached out to TCL support still hoping for some help.

    Lets talk about the elephant in the room!

    $1600 for a 98” tv? Say less! Remember when they used to cost $60,000??? Yeah thats wild. I just got this behemoth installed on my wall. I am coming from a 75 inch Samsung QN84A. You’d think going from a QLED Mini LED to a Direct Lit QLED would be a downgrade, not if you’re getting a much better tv brand! I was amazed to see how much insane contrast this tv can put out in bright and dark scenes. I also thought this would be too big for 4k. Nah i was wrong. The way the processor cleans up the image and makes it just as sharp is crazy, especially with Dolby Vision. Coming from a Samsung, I’m not used to Dolby Vision. The way it adjusts the color and detail really boggles my mind. With Netflix, the movies seriously looks like the Dolby Cinema at AMC. What blew my mind more was game mode. Back then gaming on a huge tv made you lose before you’d even start playing. Keep in mind I’m used to gaming on my OLED. The input lag on this in game mode is just as good with no stuttering at all. It maintains 120z like a champ and the scenes are still as vibrant as they can be. For darker games, the added settings to decrease the darkness is a game changer and it allows me to see things that an oled can’t. I’m really impressed with TCL. They are going to be the top dog for Home Theater I guarantee it!

    So, I have had this tv for one month, and the quick response is “I love it”. Great picture, good sound and the Google response is on point. You do not have to raise your voice to give commands. Just talk in a normal voice. Now for the issues that came up after about two weeks of operation. While watching the tv I started getting pixelation and sometimes it would give me the spinning wheel. So, after doing a little research on these problems, it was suggested to go to the apps menu and forcestop the apps that I’m not using and to clear the cache. After doing this, the problem was solved, but not over. I found myself having to perform this action more than I was wanting. So off to Best Buy to talk to a rep. The rep suggested I bring the tv in. We are talking a 98” monster, it’s not like I’m returning a laptop. So, I told him that I didn’t think there was a problem with the tv. I was thinking that the processor was too slow and the tv didn’t have enough memory to run all the apps in the background. Now I’m starting to understand the cons when you pay $1500 for a 98” tv vs $2500. So, the Rep came up with an ideal that I thought would be good to try. He said take a Roku or Firestick and plug it into the HDMI 1 port and let those devices run the apps. Since I had a Roku box lying around from my last tv, I plugged it into this one. Wow! It worked and no issues with pixelation or spinning wheels, and the picture is still just as vibrant as ever. Yes, my 98” tv is now a 98” monitor because I’m using the Roku devise to run it. Even though I’m having to use my Roku, I still think this tv is still worth what you get for the price. One more thing. All I have to say is “Hey Google, open HDMI 1” and the tv powers on and goes straight to my Roku device.
