Use it for my f150 lightning. Worked great for a week and now the adatper wont release from the charger. I really dont want to have to pay my electrician to replace it. The magnet design for the adapter is pretty stupid

I had the original universal Tesla Charger j1772 and this is a lot better as I don’t need to put an adapter on it.this one also lets you unlock it via handle unlike the J1772

Avoid this if you are planning to buy for future proofing like I did. Bought this for my Rivian and had it professionally installed. Every single charge refuses to release the cable until 30+ minutes after charge completion. Rivian support says they don’t support 3rd party chargers and Tesla support’s solution is to “upgrade to our latest wall connector” for my brand new charger.

This Tesla charger works perfectly with my VW ID.4 using an adapter. Charging is fast, stable, and reliable, with excellent build quality and a sturdy cable. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend who purchased a 2026 tesla model y late last year. Before this charger, it was taking him 24 hours or longer to charge from 50%. Now, it only takes like 2.5 hours. Installation was a breeze and still the electricity bill hasn’t gone up more than $20. It has saved him so much time and money because he doesn’t have to rely on fast charging stations when he gets below 50% charge while out.

Bought this wall charger for our EV so that we would have the ability to charge not just our new Equinox but also any other electric vehicles we purchase in the future. It requires an electrician to install it and is hardwired into your electric system on a 60 amp breaker. On my Equinox, I get just over 31 miles of range per hour of charge. This does come with the adapter for non-Tesla vehicles. I'm very satisfied with the system, the aesthetic of it, and the option to charge a multitude of EVs from home.
