Customers have good things to say about the fun gameplay, witty dialogue, and humorous story in The Outer Worlds. Many also appreciate the game's open world and the opportunity for exploration. While some players noted minor technical issues and occasional long loading times, these concerns appear to be relatively infrequent. Overall, the positive feedback on the core gameplay mechanics and narrative outweighs the negative comments.

This is one of the few games I have been excited about and played through a few times. Multiple endings and ways to progress through the story! Graphics and writing are out of this world lol

Overall, I love the game. It provides a great story that does give you a ton of play with your decisions. I was slightly disappointed in how you can interact with your crew. You have quests to do for them but they feel very stilted.

Holy moly I loved this game. The story is just like how a fallout game would play out and the graphics are super cool! I can't wait to get the expansions and try them!!

This had a great story and resembled Fallout New Vegas in many ways. I like shorter games and this fit perfectly, about 15 hours start to finish doing mostly campaign. Never got boring.

If you like Skyrim or the Fallout series you will most likely enjoy this as I’ve been a fan of obsidian’s platform, ppl complain that there’s only 3 types of ammo but it makes it easier for there are serval modes that diversify the output of the ammo so for instance you plasma, regular shells, laser type well depending on what kinda gun you will use the heavy, light, energy depending the gun size but other than that this game is pretty length if you do all side quest ! Then do the main story here and there to get you to restricted areas to finish a side quest you can’t finish.

When I found out that the creators of Fallout New Vegas I was very excited and was looking forward to it. I started to play it and I saw right away connection to FNV and they didn't try to make it that but a lot of that was in this game but without the depth, intrigue, penalties or challenge. The story is pretty good, the character building is okay but felt unfleshed. It just didn't go far enough for me but with that being said if you've never played RPG's or single player campaigns it will be a really fun game with a lot of exploration and a darn good story line and characters to get attached to.

Fun and funny. Make game changing decisions while looting planets in hopes to save a long lost colony. Expansive and immersive, this is a great game for any fans of Obsidian's previous games.

Similar humor and approach as the Fallout series. One difference is that the game is not as open as a sandbox as Fallout & is more story driven.

This game started out well. If you liked the good Fallouts, this plays like that franchise. The game kind of falls off slowly around the middle of the game.
I had fun playing this overall though think it is a the bottom of the 2019 games I've played.
The skill tree (there are actually two) was weak. In other games, by the end of the game your character has filled out most or at least grown strong in a skillset that works for you.
In this game, you don't fill up the entire sill tree which means you can end up spending your points on skills that don't really help. You do want to spend skill points on your style of preference, but a better strategy is to spend points on the way that unlocks specific things in the game. That's why I agree with a previous suggestion to wait until you need a skill before you use the points.
The story is weak and discovered through a slow dialog / subtitle process. Talking to the other characters seems to take ten times longer than it should. It reminds me of reading through a Choose Your Own Adventure book from the past. People who buy shooter games probably do not want to spend huge chunks of time reading through conversations and logs.
There are multiple endings depending on your decisions, but none of them, good, bad or otherwise seemed at all interesting.
It appears that to have fun in combat, you need to play at a high difficult setting. If you play on normal, don't use the max of two companions or the teammates will take out most of the bad guys.
I have other minor gripes on this game but I would recommend playing this game once if you don't have any other new games.

Yes you read that title correctly.
Do you want to play a good Fallout game without the hang ups of it being a Bethesda game, as well as having it be competently written and immensely immersive? (that alliteration wasn't even on purpose)
If you said yes to even one of those previous wants: play Obsidian's new game "The Outer Worlds". It's got beautiful visuals, an amazing score, some amazing gameplay, and DYNAMIC INTERACTIONS (who knew that having realistically adaptive communication with NPCs could, y;know, IMPROVE GAMEPLAY?)

Hey guys it’s Shadowsnake again and I just love his game...If you’ve every played fallout New Vegas, and liked the the game play.. your in for a treat. Good plot line, decent acting would have loved for the towns to larger. Your decision transform relationship with other characters so will be open so will be close depending on what choices you make. This game is not perfect, has its little glitches THO NOT GAME BREAKING. And doesn’t take away from the fun..This is the fallout type-ish game that we should have gotten from companies like a Bethesda with out all of the Greed and a unfinished games.. you’ll have fun THANK ME LATER.
