This is a great value for what it is, plenty of stock cables or included for almost any current set up. Output is great, the fan being off when in low power use is a nice feature.

Bought this power supply because my previous Thermaltake.PSU (different but similar model) melted one of the PCI-e connectors on the PSU itself. I went with this brand again mainly to make swapping the modular cords easier. This PSU was DOA and didn't work at all. Ended up going with a different PSU and back up running now.

We bought this power supply brand new out of the box and tried installing it ourselves. We couldn't get it to turn on at all. We ended up taking it to our local computer repair shop to see if they were any more successful. They could not get our computer to power on using this supply either. Unfortunately at that point we were past the 2 week return window, so we are out the money. The repair shop was able to order a working supply for us, and when we went to pick up our computer, they mentioned they tested this supply separately to figure out if the problem was our computer or the power supply itself, and it almost fried the testing device! Not sure how this device managed to have enough juice to burn the testing device, but couldn't power on at all when (attempted)installed in an actual computer.

I had this power supply unit (PSU) installed in my computer for only two days, and it already failed catastrophically. Last night, while I was using my computer, I suddenly heard a loud pop and immediately smelled something burning. It was alarming and quite disappointing, to say the least. This PSU is extremely unreliable and, based on my experience, I cannot recommend it to anyone.
The power supply is a critical component of any computer system, responsible for delivering stable and reliable power to all other components. When it fails, it can cause significant damage not just to itself but potentially to other parts of the computer as well. In my case, the failure of the PSU was sudden and severe, raising serious concerns about its quality and safety.
The smell of burning electronics is particularly concerning because it indicates that some component within the PSU overheated or short-circuited. Such failures can sometimes lead to fires, posing a significant hazard not only to the computer but also to the surrounding environment and anyone nearby.
When choosing a PSU, it’s essential to opt for a reliable and reputable brand known for quality and safety standards. Unfortunately, this particular PSU did not live up to those standards. If you’re in the market for a new power supply, I strongly advise looking elsewhere to avoid the risk of a similar failure.
