Also it would be nice if you could set the speaker to off or silent. When you hit a bump it will beep and record as it is designed but on a bumpy road it is a pain.

Downside: it makes 1 minute videos continously. The motion detection does not work well. It only records ie. if you hit a bump in the road.

Posted .Hi Black, the 1 min segments are a decision we made to prevent data loss. In the event of an accident if your vehicle loses power and your camera records 5 min segments the camera will be unable to finish writing the whole video; corrupting the whole video file. Our 1 min segments paired with the super capacitor allows all of our cameras to finish writing the video, preventing data loss. Please note that motion recording is only for parking recording. As a result, my parked car was not able to gather any video content from the front end collision that would have provided evidence of the hit and run.

Exactly what’s expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fits perfectly behind rear view mirror and small enough to be fairly hidden. A lot lighter in weight than I expected but looks sleek and modern. The video quality is pretty good although night quality is fairly grainy and slightly not as sharp, but again to be expected as it stated it does not have night vision although you can still see the cars in front. Only complaint is I would like to be able to see instructions without having to open the SD card on a computer like online or a printed manual but after set up it’s no big deal. The settings being only accessible from SD card again is a little cumbersome but once you get it to your liking you can pretty much forget about it. I also enjoy the fact that I don’t have to format or clear the card all the time as it will record over the oldest ones. I got mine for $70 on Black Friday sale, not sure if I would’ve paid $100 for it though
