Flawless Streaming to multiple devices. Works better than expected. I use this to stream live shows to multiple iPads and iPhones in a multi-room dwelling in a highrise building with no issues whatsoever. The Stream is connected to an access point on my wifi network nowhere near a tivo box. Two Tivos (1 premiere and 1 Quad) are also connected to access points in other rooms (using ethernet) and essentially trick the units into thinking they are on a wired network. I highly recommend the Stream for those that travel for a living as I do and want to take their shows with them. That is actually the main reason I bought the Stream. I watch shows at airports, on the plane as well as hotels. Downloads to devices quickly and it works just as your Tivo at home with all the familiar features like 30 second advance etc... Overall I love this product and would recommend it to others.

The Tivo Stream is a product that was long overdue when it was finally released by Tivo. Setup was a bit tricky because my devices would see the Tivo Stream one minute and not the next. I rebooted my Tivo Premiere several times and followed other instructions but replacing the router finally fixed this problem. The Tivo Stream won't stream or download products from any of my Tivo units except the Tivo Premiere which limits its functionality. It also won't stream to my PC which is another limitation but overall I really like the ability to transfer directly from the Tivo to my iPad without having to go through the process of using Tivo Desktop and then converting and loading onto the iPad. The functionality of the downloads on the iPad is also just like having my Tivo unit connected to a television. Overall, even with the limitations, I'm very pleased.

Now that my Stream is working, I LOVE it. The app is beautiful (although it's only for iOS -- no Android support!). Everything works as it should, and I use it often, both at home and on the go. SETUP WAS A BEAR! I've setup two of these now (one for me and one for my parents), and both were a nightmare. They both came with outdated software and firmware that had to be updated through and obscure menu in the app. Following the update, I had to not only force restart the boxes multiple times, but also uplug my routers to basically "reset" my home network. Nothing about any of this in the instructions (or on-screen), so I'm sure a lot of people are stumped when the thing doesn't work out of the box.

Purchased the Stream to interface with my Tivo Premier so that my daughter could watch TV while at college. The setup was cumbersome because the instructions included were for units purchased from Tivo. They did not have a 3rd party purchase instruction. That is important because before you start you must activate in your Tivo account otherwise the unit will not work. Once activated in the account it takes several hours to actually activate. Once all that is done and the unit is connected they don't tell you that the Premier had to be rebooted so that it could see the Stream. Once that was done the unit connected great in home. Could view all recorded programs. So, I decided to test the Stream out at Starbucks figuring if it works there it would work anywhere. The unit worked surprisingly well at Starbucks. BUT! you can't view all of your recordings. Local channels were viewable but many cable channels, FOX, Disney etc were "copy protected" and could not be viewed outside of the house. THIS WAS A MAJOR BUMMER. Anyway, it is what it is and hopefully the networks will realize the advantage of allowing folks to stream all programming as they would like. To me it makes cable MORE valuable and would make me less me less likely to "cut the cord" because of the "value added" streaming.

I have had my TiVo Mini for almost a year now and love it. Ever since they added the dynamic tuning it has been everything I wanted it to be. The price is ok once you consider the savings for no longer needing a cable card or digital transceiver for this TV anymore. Great Netflix, Amazon Instant, and Youtube support; as well as some other services I don't use. Easily moves around my house figuring out if the Mocha Network or the Ethernet connection are how it finds a tuner from my main TiVo unit seamlessly.

I still own my Tivo Premiere and by adding the stream, it gives you the same flexibilty that the new improved Roamio Plus offers in one unit. For the cost, I went with the stream. As long as the wifi signal is strong and the unit remains online, the out-of-network streaming works seamlessly. I would highly recommend for the traveler type to keep in touch with your Tivo on the road.

This device is great. Hooks your video system to iPads and iPhones. Allows you to watch in other areas of your home on iOS devices and you can save movies on your iPad or iPhone for when you travel. Also allow you to schedule new recordings from anywhere you can get online. Easy set up, good speed, and flawless picture. A bit expensive -they could have built this in to the TiVo.

I finally got my Tivo Stream, been waiting for this product. After you get through the setup process, you can start streaming to your iPhone right away. I am able to watch a show on my TV & stream another show at the same time to my iPhone. This thing rocks! I can also download shows directly to my iPhone & watch things on the go. No more boring lunch times & I can catch up on my shows faster. You have to get one!!

The Tivo stream works as advertised. Makes the TIVo so much more useful. Loved downloading movies and shows to my iPad to watch at another time.

Tivo says it " lets you watch what you want, where you want—around the house or around the world." I want to watch on my TV in my house in another country. While I should be able stream or download to my iPad, the App will not allow the video to be "cast" (for example via an HDMI adapter or Apple TV) - not something the material I reviewed before purchase mentioned. I have not used it much yet, other than some testing, but will be soon when I head to the other house. The device is okay, it the the artificial limitation in the App that bugs me. Many iOS apps allow file transfer into iTunes on a PC, but this does not, so the only way to do anything with the video is through the app, and that must be on the iPad. I'm pretty sure that the same restriction is in the Android app too.

I would recommend this product to anyone with a TiVo Premiere and any iDevice or tablet. You can view any show from your TiVo in the palm of your hand. Set up was a bit cumbersome. The instructions left out a couple of steps. Had to google to troubleshoot. Once it was set-up, everything else was a breeze.

The Tivo Stream performs it's purpose well. I am able to remotely access my shows and to operate other functions on the console. It was very easy to set up and has worked very well since I've owned it (about a month). I noticed the fan is constantly running. Even though it is quiet, I was concerned it wasn't functioning properly. A call to Tivo confirmed that was normal. Just for peace of mind, I bought a 3 year Square Trade warranty.

I bought the TiVo Stream to add streaming capability to my TiVo Roamio OTA. Setup in theory should have been fast and easy, but it was slow and painful. Once finally set up, the streams were slow or didn't work at all. Tried setting up and restarting the box a few times until it finally worked. Since then, it has worked consistently and well. Haven't had to restart it since my initial set up problems. I've read online about others having the same problem. Seems like once you get it working, then it becomes rock solid (at least so far).

You got to have this device works great this does not take long for movies to transfer recommend is to my friends and family I am so impress with this device I am going to order four more this year to give out for Christmas at this year

I bought the Tivo Stream to use with my Premiere. It works great to extend the the Tivo experience to the iPad. In house, the streaming is exceptionally smooth and the skip forward and backwards works surprisingly well. I have found downloading to be the better experience for out of home use. Streaming for me has resulting in too many buffering pauses (could be the network?). I have had to restart the Stream a couple times to and it does have a surprisingly high pitched whiny fan. Overall, great value and makes the Tivo much more useful around the house.

It took about two weeks before I could finally get the Stream to work. I had to open tickets with both my cable provider and TiVo to figure this out. Now that it works, it doesn't stay connected consistently. I find that I have to restart it anytime that I want to use it. Being that initial problem was software related, I'm hoping they can fix this too. It still does the job. I use it to download DVR content to my tablet when I travel and it works well for that purpose

This is a must have if your Tivo model doesn't stream. In a sense it is better value at $100 to get this than to pay an extra $150 - $350 for the more expensive streaming boxes. Pros - It's most useful feature has been allowing me to download shows. No other alternative does it as simply as this. Cons - Streaming is unreliable. It cuts out a lot especially when you do the 30-second commercial skip. I know it is not because of my network/router because my old cable company DVR used to stream fine. If you have Tivo you're stuck with this so love it or leave it. While it is a useful addition, it isn't perfect. I hope they improve the streaming technology on the next version.

Simply put, this just works exactly the way it claimed to work. Came out of the box, plugged in, and after several minutes of discovering the TiVo and downloading updates to software, it just worked. Occasionally I need to reboot it as the iPad seems to lose it (never during use but between uses), so that makes it a little dodgy for using if I'm out of the house, but since my primary use is in or around the house, I'm very happy with the unit and the price I paid. Recommended.

After a day or so, it suddenly started working. Works great. Downloads video from the TiVo to your iOS device based on the speed of the ROUTER, not the speed of the internet connection (we have a very slow DSL). For 'nearly live' tv, start recording a show and send it immediately to your iPad and you have instant live tv. Enjoy!
