Great Game

Great game! My friends and I have been playing it since it came out in early 2008 every time we hang out. Great graphics and many good maps and weapons and clothing items and armor types and online game types. The only bad thing about this is that enemy terrorists sometimes spawn out of nowhere. For instance, in the Terrorist Hunt game type, on multiple occasions, my friend and I were standing in the corner room of a map looking at the doorway which was the only possible way a terrorist could come and reach us, and we were somehow shot from behind, which is unrealistic. Other than that, this game is perfect and better than most if not all shooter games that are out now.

" more hype than bite"

First off I have to say, vegas 2 does deliver in the area of modes of play offered. The scenes are very colorful and there are an abundance of maps.
What disappoints me is the movement of the characters isn't very life like. The characters seem to glide and not walk at times. Also there is no jumping feature or any knives for melee techniques. I kind of figured that this game would attempt to go one step further than previous war games but maybe that wasn't their goal.
This game has its place in the war game market, but don't put your copy of Call of Duty4 on Ebay just yet.

I bought in to the hype, I expected better, but at least its better that the first Rainbow Six Vegas, the graphics has improve on this Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Fun to play with but dont compare the intensity to COD 4. Its different type of game, mostly tactical. I was a bit dissapointed with the ending of the game. Online was boring and slow on the PSN network. But PSN is free. Overall I give this game 3.5 over 5.

i first bought r6v1 because it looked interesting. and then when i saw that r6v2 was coming out, i decided to buy it. i thought it was going to be much better than i thought. but its not that good. the story mode is very good and has awsome graphics. thats the only part i would reccomend. but the online is supposed to be the best part. but its not so good. you can barely log in to any games. sometimes if you do, the game session will be over.the only way i could get to a game (and not always) is by an inbite. i wish the creators could have made the online playing better, but i will keep on playing and see if it gets better.

Proud owner of COD 4, i knew nothing coud compare so I rented RSV2. Shortly after returning RS back, I continued with my COD usage. I found myself almost feeling like I missed RS, wanting to direct my team and lean into cover. Then I realized RS doesn't compare to COD because, listen, tehy are totally, totally different. Run and gun all you want in COD, thats fine, I love it too, but I genually missed the tactics. Thats all RSV(1,2) is. I now own both!
Yes, the online could use improvement, but here is what i did... Use a wire! All of us who connect our fancy wireless PS3's seem to have forgotten that a wire works waay better than wireless. Now that I'm wired I can focus on the quality of the tactics, rewards and sop comparing apples to oranges.

Good Shooter

I like this game a lot. It is a very good shooter with decent levels. It has a mixture of stealth and all out shooting to satisfy people who prefer either. I also like the online play. The online play allows you to become better at playing the game by aquiring targets quicker as well as switching to the correct weapons quicker. The only thing that I don't like and consider very annoying is the fact that it doesn't have aim assist or at least I can't find where to turn it on. This may be considered cheating by some and the game developers but it is realistic to me if you have it where you push a button and point your weapon in the general direction of the target like you would find in Call of Duty 4.

The customization is awsome in part two and the graphics are way better than the first wich was not that hard to do. The actors give a good performance, nothing like heavenley sword but now where nere as bad as E.D.F.(Earth Defence Force). I enjoyed the first one and it looks like I will enjoy this one as well. The last thing is that this one is more of a challenge and the reward system is cool and your weapon selection is configured to your way of play, etc sniper gunner assault. This is a good shooter, not one that stands out as a one of a kind but worth buying.

A few more guns and gadgits so should be fun as well as they promise to make it coop play online with your friend not just coop terror hunt

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is the best / most original shooter I've played this year. There are so many FPS's coming out that are almost exactly the same - this offers gameplay that if far more real and strategic than anything else available on PS3 or 360 right now. Also offers better Co-op play and more refined controls than Army of Two.
If you played the original Rainbow Six Vegas on PS3 - the sequel is much more refined, has better graphics and far few glitches.

This is one of the best FPS games for the PS3 that i've played yet. The graphics rock, the game play is very fun, and on co-op with a friend its even better. One of my favorite aspects of this game is that you can completely customize your character, appearance, armor, weapons, everything. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of FPS games.

GREAT TACTICAL GAME

To everyone who is trying to compare this game to CALL OF DUTY 4..... STOP!!!! these games are different COD4 is a war game. Rainbow six is a tactical game . Of corse there is no Melee attack (knife) or jumping.. Rainbow six for years has been about team work planing your next move, and some what stealth, its not a Simulated War game. In war maybe you can run out with a gun and just shoot people. In rainbow six you wait for a the right chance and use teamwork and communicate. you can't compare the games it doesn't make sense. Its like comparing Rugby & American FootBall. Its a Great game online its fun new reward system and its easier to find online matches with a new search menu. By the way (I own both Rainbow six vegas 1&2 and Call Of Duty 4)

I liked the first Vegas. i like this vegas but the package isn't worth $120. This is a sequel but should be called an extension. I enjoy the suspense and strategy. i agree with those that this should not be compared to COD. I liked it too and it had clearly superior graphics. Nevertheless, the rhythm and gameplay are fun and after all that's why I play video games. If I wanted all graphics, I'd watch a movie.

As with most Ton Clancy games, the graphics aren't stellar, but they are good. If you enjoy any of the other games in the series, then this is for you. I highly recommend you play the first one before buying this, it's pretty well discounted these days anyways. Skip the collectors version unless your going online a lot and like the cardboard cover, otherwise its useless.

The Game is a very fun game if you enjoy the tactical aspect of games as opposed to the typical COD4 and Halo aspect of being able to run in guns blazing and not die. I enjoyed the game it was well worth my money, and the graphics are very good as long as being able to morph your face into one of the characters. Overall i give the game a 4 out of 5 rating

Man I played the game for about a hour and feel in love with it. Im a big call of duty fan but come on call of duty is a run a gun style game. This game has the run and gun style but with a more realistic approach. I have not played on line yet but Im sure it will be off the chain like the strory mode. Some people are not into the squad based games cause it is to much to control but this game make it real easy to control your team, and best of all you do most of the killing. Other than that this game is a must get and I think once it gets big it might be the new king of games and nock Call of Duty of its high chair. lol

Having played this game for a couple of days now, i am already bored and telling myself to go back to cod4! The graphics didn't change from r6v1, and the online didnt improve, and lags. Your character is way to slow moving, and grenade throwing is pathetic. The campaign will bore you to death. And for a new player, many times you will be wondering where you have been shot from. The terrorist hunt is good, and there are more guns. Overall this game was a bit fo a disapointment after all the buzz it got

When I got this game I was worried because a lot of people had said that the story mode was not good, and the online froze and wasn't very fun. When I played this game I was blown away. The story mode is very interactive and keeps you interested. The online is amazing, it doesn't freeze at all. The only thing that is close to freezing on the online that has happened to me is that it jumps around a little bit when you've been playing it for a while. Stop sitting around looking at what other people say about this game and GET IT!

I was very disappointed with this game. I had the first one and it was awesome. R6V2 is the samething online all over again. New story in campaign mode but everything else is the same as the first R6. If you liked the first one just keep your money and play it.
