Great laptop, fast performance and great price. Overall, very satisfied.

It didn't even last a week. I'm taking it back in the morning.

Everything worked well right out of the box, I had very little challenge setting it up however many updates were required in the first few days. The unit found my wifi network immediately and connected as soon as I entered the password. I bought this laptop for use by our local charity support organization to use in keeping records and accounts, it has plenty of storage for our needs with it's 500gb hard drive. The only thing we changed is we added a wireless mouse because as with any laptop dealing with the touch pad is much too tedious in an office setting. So far we find this Toshiba Satellite to be what we expected and it works well, it would be very hard to beat this unit at the low price!

bought this laptop on sale (memorial day) for my mother as a gift. Pros: good price for a beginner laptop big screen "15", lightweight, not bulky has a cd/dvd player, front facing camera cons: slow processor, camera a little bit blurry and slow, sound is ok

The Toshiba Satellite is a good basic computer. The 15 inch screen is great for using multiple windows, watching Netflix, or playing basic games. Having the number pad is great! The keyboard is nice, would be nicer if the keys were a bit more raised/defined. It is light for it's size, easily manageable, and doesn't take up too much space in my backpack, which is good for school. I wish the 2.0 USB ports were closer to the the other side, I don't like having to use my 3.0 port for my cooling pad. The speakers are good. Doesn't take too long to turn on and processing speed is decent. Great for the price.

You get what you paid for!! Good price and works as you expect. Nothing fancy. Good for basic web surfing. Bought it for my kids to do homework, play games and watch videos. Slow at times but over good laptop. A bit rough around the edges based on design. Some sharp pointy areas in the sides where the connections are. Over good laptop for the price

I really like this computer - it has a nice look it's easy to use. I had an older model before this one of the same brand and model - but working at a software engineering company i had a few of the guys give their opinion and they said for what i wanted to use the computer for this was a good choice and good price. Only reason i didn't give it 5 stars is because sometimes it is a little slower but that is technically my own fault for not getting a faster processor but in the end of the day i'm just impatient and the laptop is great.

My 12 year old saved his money and purchased his first laptop. This was perfect for him in that it was affordable and easy to use. I was afraid his budget would limit his options in terms of quality, but I was pleasantly surprised to find such a good value. This laptop is great for browsing the web and streaming videos on YouTube, Netflix, etc,

The Toshiba Laptop Cmputer we purchased for my wife was the ideal laptop for her. She doesn't do games So the 4 gig storage was fine for her. She had a little difficulty with windows 8 but now is very pleased with the speed and ease with which to do her required activities. As always, Best Buy had an excellent price on this item.

Not to bad, considering the price. I expected it to be slow after reading other reviews, but for surfing internet and basic computer games is ok. That would be a perfect laptop for students if you don't want to spend alot.

The laptop is working fine. Is not as sturdy as some other computers, but that makes it lighter and easier to carry around. So far I am happy with the speed and program performance. For a $199 price tag... It is great.

I do event photography, so was looking for the cheapest device I could find that would hold picture/video references, as well as watch things at high speeds to find specific scenes that I could screen shot. The laptop has done exactly that and am glad that I didn't have to buy a more expensive one to do the job. For a basic unit, it has exceeded my expectations~

I am a student and this Toshiba is excellent to work on my homework. The size of the screen is perfect and internet wireless works fin I love the laptop design and the low price either.

When my desktop tower died recently, I thought about getting another. My sister convinced me to try a laptop. I've had this laptop for about a month now and absolutely love it!! It's a tad slower than my old desktop tower was, but the portability of it more than makes up for that. It's not great for hardcore gamers, but as a school/work/casual user laptop it is well worth the price.

I have a home business and just needed a laptop for recipes, a few cake photos and my business operating system. This laptop was priced to sell and works great. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because occasionally it does take a little time to think but overall perfect for what I needed.

Don't let the 4 stars fool you, this a great laptop! Its was the most reasonable price for a laptop, and not a Chromebook. Every other laptop was in the $500+ range while this one was around $300. Its a beautifully designed laptop with crisp features. The reason it gets a 4 is because of the updating the laptop goes through. I don't know how they schedule it, but every so often I get a message about an update that will take place in a day and we can either restart now or wait until later, which will give you a 15 minute the next day warning that your laptop will be restarted and updated regardless. I feel like you should be able to have a little more control over that. For the people that use their laptops for their career and education, they should have the option on when their laptop will check out for the day. This computer doesn't come with Microsoft Word. It does have Open Office which is an easy download. But openoffice saves files in ODF, and websites never take ODF. They want DOC. or PDF or anything but ODF! So you have to be okay with file converting. The only other problem is the Windows 8.1, the wifi would constantly be limited due to a malfunction in the system. It's easily fixed by updating the drivers. Every laptop has their perks and quirks!

Looking for a reasonably priced laptop with storage for my daughter's games, the ability to play DVDs, and edit and store pictures. This laptop fit our requirements and met our price point. She has been using it regularly for a couple months now and is very happy with the device.

Our laptop recently crashed when the power supply died. No way to get it going so had to find a replacement. We just needed an average laptop with a 15" screen and a reasonable price. The Toshiba Satellite met those criteria. It is functional and does most things well. However it's limited memory (4 GB) and Celeron processor cuase some problems. It has difficulty handling more than one big "job" at a time and runs out of RAM fairly easily. And even when it's not out of RAM the processor is fairly slow which makes everything take a bit longer than on our old laptop. But we're looking to buy an iMac in a year or so and the Toshiba will get us through until we do purchase a bigger, faster, more powerful PC.

Does exactly as advertised! Fast, light weight, easy to operate. Highly recommend this for streaming videos, Netflix, etc. does all I need. I do wish it had MS Works....but I have gotten around that with a free app, word processing, spreadsheet download. Would buy this again. Best Buy prices are the best!

It is an amazing computer for the price it is at! It runs a little slow when doing a lot of windows but I haven't downloaded Windows 10 yet. Great computer for a college student. I advise getting it
