This was the best thing I ever spent money on at Best Buy. I loved the fact that I could take my car up there, & they’d install my ALRDY pre-owned speakers (that I did NOT purchase from them) & GET MY CAR’S AUDIO SYSTEM WIRED UP, PROFESSIONALLY, SO AS NOT TO SHOW ANY WIRES THAT RAN TO MY TRUNK. I never had ANY trouble out of it, EVER, from the day I got it done, until the day I wrecked my car. *SAD DAY* but even if I were to have ONLY used the membership to have my system professionally installed in my Dodge Charger, THAT, ALONE, would have been worth it in itself!
However, it didn’t stop there. I also used it to have my laptops repaired at a discounted rate, and there was even the option to have someone come out and install stuff at my home, such as TV mounts, surroundsound, etc. Totally, ABSOLUTELY worth the purchase of said membership! No regrets!

The total tech support membership pays for itself. This is my 3rd year of being a member and have practically done everything in my home. The Geek squad has come and done several projects at my home from home theater installation,ring install,tv
mounting,remote control programming,appliance installs, etc... This saves you so much money and you get expert service.... It's a no brainer if you have more than one or two tech related things to do at your home....

I have always had great experiences with my tech support and still love it but this last time was different. I bought two Honeywell smart thermostats and ordered installation with the purchase. When the tech came he would only install one until I paid him extra to install the second one. My job had been subcontracted away from Geek. To get the second one installed I had to give the tech’s boss my credit card and she charged double what I paid for the first installed thermostat. I will take my second receipt to Best Buy and see if my original purchase of “two units and installation” meant “two units, but we’re only hooking up one”

There are always there for you. With all the services included in the plan. This plan pays for itself. The discounts on in-home services, chat on-line and even over the phone are really helpful. Allows me to set up my house the way I want it. I liked saving on my protection plan.

If you’re a Best Buy member and don’t use Tech Support, something is wrong with you. I have used my Tech Support with BB for over 3+ years. They’ve installed TV’s, projectors, big screens, sound systems… all through my house.

I have been a GS member for many many years. I am currently online just waiting to chat, as of right now, 1 hour and counting just for them to connect. Then they run all of the routine tests and put you in another queue to wait God knows how much longer, sometimes 11-12 hours. Geek Squad has become the worst service by far over the last few years. They also have much less knowledgeable techs and have to pass you on to the next level. I am definitely looking for a new service when my membership is up.

Worst support I've experienced. Unable to repair laptop. No service for early access purchase for ps5 console. No honoring totaltech exclusive purchase offer of ps5 console either. Wasn't allowed to purchase even though I was a totaltech member. Arrived at same situation several times on different days.

2 different geek squad techs could not complete an order I was told in the store was absolutely possible. I paid for geek squad protection and service and the headset which was over $400.00 to which I had to hire outside help. Seems ridiculous when this was an easy fix for someone who just dabbles in computers and electronic repairs.

I've been using total tech support for 3 yrs or more. Every year I have received help that relieved my distress with my computer ... they offered help that was immediate and provided with patience and consideration. I had confidence the problem would be resolved and I wasn't disappointed. When I needed to call the 24/7 phone my question was answered by remote access which was simple for me and the technician quickly recognized my difficulty and explained what was happening in a manner that I understood.
Total Tech Support has been effective whenever I have needed assistance.

You are covered for any service you may need. My suggestion is to purchase this service & the Geek Squad is very knowledgeable. They are the only company that I call for service of my electronics. Great service.

I've had GeekSquad tech support 5 or 6 years but last year I purchased a new Kenwood DNN992 for my truck, I struggled with who I was going to get to install it but finally decided to use Best Buy to do it because the work area is always clean and best I hate leaving my truck with people when I can't see what's going on, so they don't have a problem with that and as a matter of fact they have chairs for the customers to kick back and watch or whatever you feel like doing while you're there. Okay so I called and then went by so I could meet the installer and talk about the install cost, but to my surprise, they had an add-on to tech support called total tech support and it was about 80.00 more per year but my install didn't cost me anything. And as well today I set up another appointment to have a haloview 2.4G digital wireless monitor 2 camera system installed which is covered in my total tech support too. I mean I am 67 now and love having the good folks at best buy help me with almost anything.

This has been one of the best purchases I could have made. I have 4 machines and there are always minor issues to be worked. Lately I have had some issues with a Windows update not going in right and breaking MS Word. Before that it was an Outlook issue, before that I lost a drive on my main desktop. All of that work was covered by my Elite Support membership. If you try the route of paying for these kinds of things as they occur, I think you are going to end up paying more and not get the other benefit of being able to just start a chat session with them to ask a question. I have used my subscription to get advice on hardware choices for future purchases as well as remote support for small issues. Its worth the peice of mind to have this subscrption.

This service really gives me peace of mind knowing that if I need help whether it would be remotely or in store they have my back. With the recent COVID-19 if I had a virus or questions they have a number you can call to get help. Even the in home services (which is a discounted price with this service) they are very nice and very helpful. They are also respectful of your home. Each time we had them here is was a wonderful experience all the way around. We have gone with Geek squad protection for over 10 years and not once have we been disappointed by them.

With all the included services, this really does pay for itself. We bought tv’s for our family room and basement and had tech support come out to mount them all including multiple sound bars and they programmed our remotes as well. We ended up having trouble with one of our sound bars and they came out multiple times to try and fix it. They ended up having to replace it (3x) and each time came out to mount it to the tv and reprogram our remote. So glad we purchased this!
