This is the nicest headset I have ever had. The only pair of headphones that I have owned that would even compare are some Bose over ears, which cost more, but I would have to say the TB pros are much better sounding, and more comfortable. With basically any other headset than Turtle Beach, I tend to get echo in party chat, which can be extremely annoying and makes people not want to party up. I have never had that problem with any TB headset. The only slight downside about this headset I would say is it is a bit heavy, but the only time i notice this is on flights when I am leaning forward on the tray table.

After about two weeks with these, I can say that I really do prefer them over Astros, and that says a lot. I love how comfortable they fit on my head and the cooling gel in the ear cups is probably my favorite feature for them. They're sound canceling as well, so you'll hear nothing but in game sounds, and that's best, especially I'm tournaments. My only issue is the price, but for me it was well worth it.

This was my first pair of gaming headphones and I was displeased so I returned them. I tried them while playing on an Xbox One connected directly into the controller's 3.5mm jack.
The good:
The ear pads feel cool and comfortable against your head and the mic feels premium.
The Bad:
There is only one volume adjustment and mute toggle.
The volume at max level was the absolute minimum you can fully hear everything. I was expecting to be able to turn the volume up louder.
Bass and surround sound was average and I wasn't impressed or satisfied.
Ultimately, don't get these if you have a good sound system.

Has a pretty good sound for my needs, I can tell if an opponent is coming from left or right. I do wish this had a way to turn volume off on all teammates if they are making sounds without having to mute them in the middle of a game. I would prefer them also having a little more volume, but I'm sure this is safer for my future hearing. Great set for $140 when they were on sale for reward zone members. I have ordered the spare part called the TAC but volume remains the same but I like being able to hear my voice to avoid getting too loud for my fellow gamers. Very sturdy compared to my previous wireless sets that broke after 1 year each. I do miss the wireless part but it is not huge after getting use to the wire drooping from the left earpiece. Worth it so far, much sturdier then my previous TB stealth 500s.

Bought these for our son. He's had several different headsets for his XBox, but he tells me these are by far the best quality and most comfortable. Even uses them with his phone in the car, and the sound is perfectly clear when he calls, unlike his prior headset.

Love the headset, very comfortable, sounds are clear with both gaming and party chats. Has some problems when it's connected directly into the controller, got the mixer and helped a lot.

Purchased for my teenage son who is an avid gamer. It quickly became his favorite headset. He uses it often and for several hours at a time on the weekend with no complaints about weight or being uncomfortable. He also reports that the sound quality is excellent and that his gaming mates can hear him clearly when speaking. The one drawback is the price, which was too high for my taste. However, I guess you have to pay for quality.

Ok, i couldn't decide on getting these or the astro A50. I decided to go with these. The main reason was the cooling gel pack built into the earphones. It really is cool. Plus it was $100 ($200 if you take into account getting another bar station to use on my Xbox) cheaper. And I could use on both consoles without extra equipment.
Is a little heavy but being a big man, I wanted a set that could fit and give me a dynamic sound. While I'm still not sure if these things are surround sound, they work perfect for me.

I’ve owned everything from cheap $25 over the ear headsets to A50s. These Turtle Beaches are the best. The cool gel pads are amazing. Volume and clarity is great. If these somehow broke, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again.

I have to say this very very confortable headset is a 4 to 5 hours no problem as longest you are not on a hot room" so wen i got it it was 200$ now its 150 i really recommended for PC players because for A PS4 you will need a aplifier and you have to pay lot of money...so far is a very very very Powerful volume if you have NICE sound card for pc your ears will explode but even on a higher volume doesn't hurt YOUR EARS. and for xbox one even more money spending if you want full potential SO.....

The sound quality on these headphones is really great the main issue is the price. They are much too expensive for a stereo headset. You don't get surround sound without a separate adapter for Xbox and a separate adapter for PS4. After playing for an extended period of time I noticed that the tension settings were not enough to alleviate stress on my head they became too uncomfortable to continue playing with.

I have always had turtle beach and have never been disappointed. Got these babies and I am still not disappointed! They are super comfortable, they don’t bother my glasses and I can have them on for hours. They sound amazing and can be practically used with any device that has a 3.5mm port. Love them!

purchased the head set in hopes of replacing my old turtle beach headset I got from a few black Fridays ago. When I took the headset out of the packaging, it felt extremely sturdy. Very well made product, but I also felt the weight behind it. I tested the headset out with Destiny: Iron: Rise of Iron and it sounds phenomenal! You can feel the bass behind every gun shot! Everything sounded extremely clear. The price reflects the quality of the product.
A few of the cons are:
I wish it came with a sound remote to control the voice/chat and game volume like some of their other products do. Another was the weight of the headset. The headset fit snug and comfortable around my ears but the weight eventually make my neck tired after an hour or so of gaming.

Overall a good descent headset, Comfy memory foam for hours of listening. Surround sound isn't that bad over all and the bass isn't bad for listening to either music or in game sounds. The microphone is a little sensitive but there is an adapter for noise cancellation. Overall not a terrible headset. I do wish a 3.5mm splitter came with it to be able to plug in to my headphone and mic jack on the computer. It's not make or break since they're only about 10 bucks. I do have to say the headset can be a little fragile. I broke my first one within 9 months by turning my head to the right too quick. The cord is a little sensitive at the connector piece too. Just basically don't be rough on them. They're not a cheap pair of Afterglows. I wouldn't say they would rock your world but overall not a bad buy if you can get them at a good price.

My son upgraded from a differect Turtle Beach, the other one was good for sound and he loved it but it hurt his ears and head after using it for a period of time. This headset keeps your ears cool and is more comfortable. Not as heavy, which is important for gamers.

Good sound right out of the box. Except the low tones, they are not very full & Dynamic. Which you would expect from a product with this price.
These are the most comfortable headphones I have ever gamed with & that's what made me buy them.

First things first, this product is being reviewed without the mix amp. I was looking for a comfortable pair of headphones first and decided not to get the amp until i was happy with the fit and boy am I happy. These are super comfortable. The ear cups are super soft and breathable. Everyone has a different sized head but these fithings me very nice. My cap size is 7 1/4 so if your around that size expect a good fit. The sound is actually pretty good without the amp. No hollow sounding cans here (for the price I expected them to sound decent) firm tight bass and crisp but not piercing highs. The mic is clear but without the amp I can't adjust game vs. Chat volume. Also i do miss the flip up mic off option of my A40's. So out the box without the amp I'd say best 2 channel headset out there. I'll be purchasing the amp and reviewing again.

First off ... the good...This is arguable the most comfortable headset I've ever worn. The ear cups have a cooling gel infused into the memory foam that is truly a game changer (no pun intended). They are a closed back headphone so the passive noise canceling effect is also impressive.
The Bad... these headphones alone have average (at best) sound unless you purchase the $199 Tactical Audio Controller (TAC) which is sold separately.
IF you purchase a mixamp or this TAC ... the sound is REMARKABLE.
The only other option that affords comparable sound quality and comfort is the Astro A40... which will cost you approx $150 less.
