Ever heard of men not needing directions?
This is like that you want to take the TV home yourself and set it up without help.
Please do not take this route.
Best Buy will deliver the tv without laying it on its side.
They will take it out of the box, several associates do this.
They carefully take it out of the box, they make sure not to crack the screen, they then as a team add the base and screw the pedestal to the frame. Once completed they place it on stand and confirm a signal is found and that the TV works and nothing is wrong with it.
Everyone its a 65" and if something goes wrong allow Best Buy to run back to the store or warehouse and get another one.
When you want to take the I can do this and save a few bucks option anything can go wrong.
I know I am going to have my new TV for years to come and this is the most crucial part of the first step to a succesful lifespan of our new television.
Yes they haul away the giant box and trash with them.

I had two guys to show up to set up my TV and my Play station. They actually hauled away the damaged TV set and all the card board from the packing. They even changed my internet connections and helped me change my passwords and secured it. Worth every penny! They were delightful and MOST helpful!

Geek squad delivery and set-up of our replacement smart TV went great. The "geeks" were prompt, courteous, and had it setup and running in no time. I'm glad I bought the protection plan and did so again for the replacement. Well worth it!

1. Knocked my sound bar off TV stand to the marble floor. 2. Left the TV base sitting on top of sound bar optical cable to TV. 3. Left adhesive tape on back of TV. I have pictures of these items.

Basic Install

The delivery was made two days following surgery and my initial intent was to have the 75 inch TV delivered for later installation. The lead installer explained that while the store indicated I had a $200 install, the lead tech informed me it was a basic installation. The team installed the TV for $50 and also resolved several issues to install the TV. They were prepared to get parts and return to complete the install, but did not need to do so. Great customer service!
I was able to enjoy my TV and didn't have to wait several weeks to heal and install it myself. Thanks guys.

I've always liked Geek Squad. Thery're always able to fix the problem. BUT, the last time I consulted them, I was talked down to like I didn't know what I was talking about. I told them that the icons at the bottom left had disappeared. I had no reason to drive to the store, wait a 1/2 hour, then lie about a problem that didn't exist, but like going to the dentist, everything worked right when I got there. I just bought 2 more Geek Squad contracts because they are the best. I just wish they'd lose the attitude.

I bought this set up for one reason, I did not want be responsible for getting this large and thin 65 inch OLED out of the box and possibly breaking it. The gentlemen that came were very professional and quickly got the TV down to the basement, out of the box and onto my TV stand. The set up involved them hooking the one HDMI cord to the TV that ran to my receiver. I can set up the technical stuff on home theaters in my sleep, so I bought this purely for the piece of mind of safely getting it out of the box. I am glad that I did. Totally worth it in my opinion.

I wouldn't usually pay for a delivery and setup, but since the TV I ordered was much bigger than I could handle alone, I decided to go ahead with it. It was a pretty good experience. The delivery team was punctual, very courteous, and set the TV up very quickly. The one source setup is kind of laughable. I'm not sure why someone would need to pay to have them plug in an HDMI cable. Anyway, getting help with the setup and making sure I didn't crush the screen by accident trying to transport the TV myself was definitely worth $50.

Received this basic service with a new tv purchase. It is exactly that, basic. Since all we had them do was bring it in the house and unbox it, I wish we would have looked the tv over before they left because then maybe someone would have noticed the crack it the upper corner before we spent several hours taking down our old tv and putting up the new one only to find out it didn't work. Fortunately they worked with us on quickly getting a new one to us the next day.

I was so surprised the Geek Squad was so easy to work with! They were eager to help and called to make sure i was home before the apt. They called the day before even to confirm with me that time would still work. <y TV was acting up and showing the menu. They went above and beyond dealing with a messy play room and loud kids. In the long run they had to make 2 trips out to my house as the part didn't come in time. But I will forever buy this protection! Thank you guys for doing an amazing job.

The Geek Squad guys that came to my house were both pleasant and friendly but not very knowledgeable about TV installation it seemed. They admitted that they usually did refridgerator and large appliance installations and pickups and weren't really sent out often to install TVs. I think because I spent ALOT of money on my TV(Sony 65" A1E) I should have had the real Geeksquad guys from the computer or home theater department here to do the installation. These guys that came didnt even show me how to callibrate the TV. There is a big difference between the installation of a refridgerator and that of a high end and delicate TV. Wasn't too thrilled and the guys they sent also told me that they are always picking up newTVs that had stopped working. They said TVs nowadays just don't last and that I should expect my Tv to last maybe..2 to 3 years! They even told me to save the box in case I need to return it within the next 2 to 3 weeks! This was very disheartening to hear and I went right down to the store and bought the rather steep 2 year protection plan just in case. Their whole attitude about TVs was that TVs aren't made well anymore and they told me my new TV could crap out at anytime. A little nervous abiut this as I spent ALOT of money!

Two men showed up with my heavy TV huffing and puffing... I allowed them entry to my apartment and in no time my beautiful 75" Samsung QLED TV was up for viewing. The main person showed me how to work the remote and also showed me a video so that I could benefit from a 4K Ultra picture on my TV. My only issue is that the men did NOT place the TV in the center of the table I had them put it on and it is much too heavy for me to move.

The delivery people came on time, during the given delivery window. They were able to unbox the TV and set up the stand fairly quickly, as well as removing the old TV from the stand as well They advised they could not power on the TV, because it had been sitting in the truck for several hours in the cold, and to wait at least 2-3 hours to let the LCD screen get back to room temperature. Otherwise, the delivery experience was acceptable.

I had originally purchased a less expensive TV that I took home myself. When I decided to upgrade Best Buy offered to deliver the new one and pick up my old one. The service was professional and so easy. They called to ask if they could come early (heck yes...I'm used to delivery services calling to say they will be late!). Upon arrival they repackaged the product I was returning and unpacked and set up my new television. They also showed me all of the features and how everything works. Excellent job!

Two men delivered a TV and stand. They set up the TV and assembled the stand. The TV was easy to set up; the stand did present a couple of snags for the guys. They were very personable and were careful not to make a mess during the process of assembly. They did a good job, and I was happy with the actual service. However, I think the cost was too high.

When I ordered the TV Basic Setup I was told by the salesman that this would be done by a general delivery person and not the actual Geek Squad. This was true, but in my case it worked since I knew how to hook up my components and really only needed the stand assembled on the TV. I didn't need to pay 100 dollars instead of the 50 I paid for this service. Buy the way, stand assembly used to be free with any TV 50 inches or larger.

They were very nice. Hooked up everything ok or so we thought. Didn't get my U-verse working because they unhooked all the wiring from the router and plugged the cables back in wrong. (They didn't know at the time it was hooked up wrong) I guess they weren't familiar with it. I was able to get it working after figuring out the correct wiring. But with a 75" tv I was glad to have them set it up.

The initial set up did not go well as someone in store put wrong code on the order and item was delivered by delivery service who did not know how to set up and sent me back to the store with the remote, which of course, was not the problem. But once that was settled after a few phone calls, Richard from the Geek Squad came to my home. He was very helpful and knowledgeable and patient. Geek squad service is great.
