But after uninstalling and reinstalling in another car I verified that the actual unit was fine. But some sort of interference is preventing it from working in the intended vehicle. The biggest nuisance that I found with the unit is that the recorded clips are very short. So that means that I’m the event that you want to save a clip from being overwritten you would need to lock it from the cam itself or sift through them on a computer. But I guess that is true for most of them short of Tesla cam. Oh also the unit is very heavy! If your OEM mirror is flimsy like mine was it will bounce uncontrollably. It eventually caused my oem mirror to fall off though it’s probably unique to my car which was held on by a plastic screw. Besides that it’s good, install is a pain especially if you have to do it as many times as I did lol.

The only problem I am having is that during day time and heated inside the car my rearview mirror is unable to hold the weight of this unit and I am unable to adjust with safety in question. I ended up using some tape to hold the mirror in place. Maybe is my car but, I am sure not to be the only one experienced this.

You can use the rubber straps to fix the dashcam. Or you can remove the original rear mirror and use a back plate panel to install the dashcam.

Good as advertised

Works as well as its advertised and easy to setup. I think for the price, they should include the SD card. And speaking of the SD card, it’s kinda difficult to put it in or take it out. My DC power cable must have been a bad one since it stopped working within 2 weeks. However I emailed the company, not Best Buy, and after a couple of emails, they sent me another one with no issues. I was impressed with that service. If I could, I would have bought the 4k version so that the rear camera would be better quality than the 1080p version. And I don’t think the rear camera has any night vision, at least compared to my factory reverse camera. Believe it or not but installation can be done DIY and that was definitely a positive thing.

Not Spectacular but worth the money

Once you setup the device its operation is simple and the controls are easy to understand. The touch-screen is quite responsive and the voice control is accurate as well.

Especially, bigger screen is much better than small size. Only one bad side, it doesn't perfectly fit on my car. Once I am driving, it is little bit shaking.
